LeGros Chateau — French for “The Big House” — lives up to its name! This spacious retreat is perfect for families and groups, located just steps from downtown Wisconsin Dells and the vibrant new Elm Street Plaza. Whether you're relaxing on the wraparound porch or exploring the Riverwalk Trail, you'll feel right at home.

Very close to downtown. Clean and comfortable spaces. Quaint and beautifully decorated. Did not get much use of the basement gameroom as was pretty chilly even with space heater. Would recommend.

Great Base for the Dells

We loved this home! Walked to the main strip in 3 minutes and enjoyed the days at the Dells. Loved the charm of the older house but it was super comfortable with everything we could have needed.

The owner communicated well, the place was amazing. The game room in the basement added entertainment on a rainy day. The location is prime and within walking distance to so many places.

Wonderful Dells Location

The house was as advertised. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us. It was just steps away from the main strip, and right by the Sunday farmer’s market. Technically walkable to most attractions, though some are likely far for some. I would suggest they add coasters, as we noticed a ring on the pion when we arrived, and there is a lot of nice wood furniture. We will definitely look at staying here again when we return.

A great location and a lovely house in the Dells

We loved staying in the house. The bedrooms were spacious and it looks beautiful. Location can’t be beat for easy access to the main strip in the Dells. Easy parking and easy to find. We came on one of the hottest weeks so far this summer and there was definitely use of the window A/C units and ceiling fans. Glad they were there, even if window units can be a bit noisy. We recommend this house highly!

Family in the Dells

Beautiful home within walking distance of the main street. Nice little grocery down the road. Bedrooms and bathrooms are all either down or upstairs, so a little difficult for older folks.

Stay in the Dells.

The was great. Close to everything: bowling alley, grocery store bakery and many downtown activities Dells upper boat tours was a short walk away. Multiple restaurants to choose from. If you like mac & cheese, then Macs is the place to go. Connie was a great hostess She responded within minutes to any question. Would stay again on a future visit.

Our family gathered together to celebrate Thanksgiving/Christmas. We came from Milwaukee, Seattle & Madison. This was a perfect home to spend time together. It was a very convenient location. It was very charming with all its Christmas decorations. We would stay here again.

Hello All! This home was first purchased by my parents over 40 years ago! After our kids grew up, we decided to transform it into LeGros Chateau to preserve our families memories and offer it to travelers, where they can make memories of their own!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

When transforming this home to a vacation rental, we realized one bathroom would not be sufficient for 8 guests, so when we remodeled the existing bathroom, we added vanities in two of the adjoining bedrooms and repurposed the deep soaking tub in the queen room as well. This makes getting ready for the day much easier and efficient. We have since added a second full bathroom in the lower level with a washer and dryer for guest use as well.
The wrap around porch is SO relaxing! Any time of day or night. Open, airy, and no mosquitoes! Even on a rainy day, it's great to sit and listen and smell the rain, without getting wet!
We truly are the closest vacation rental to all that Downtown Dells has to offer! Only 1 block away from the heart of all the action!
