This place was amazing. Was a bit of a drive to entrance of Yellowstone but worth it. Quiet and relaxing after a long day of sightseeing and away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist scene. Communication was great with Laura. Probably won't ever return to the area but highly recommend this place. Best VRBO experience we've had.

À propos de l’hôte

Hôte : Laura Allen

Image de profil de l’hôte
We have lived in Ashton for the past 25 years. My mother was born and raised in Idaho Falls. I grew up in California but we spent every summer out here in the Island Park area. My husband is a builder and I finally convinced him to build me my dream home at this location and we moved in almost 5 years ago. The apartment is above a shop next to our home. When I am not teaching at the local high school, I love to hike, ski, kayak, and do anything outdoors. My husband can be found on the golf course or fishing in his spare time. We are excited to host you at this spectacular location. Our dog, Zoey, will provide a happy tail-wagging welcome to you when you arrive.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

This property and listing is a fly fisherman's dream location. The section of the river from Ora Bridge to the Ashton Dam has some of the best brown and rainbow trout fishing around. The boat launch is just 400 yards down the road and the river can be easily accessed in this area. A new bridge was just finished this spring and the area from the bridge to the dam is wadable for most of the summer.
The location of this property is not just for fishermen-- it is an ideal location for taking day trips into Yellowstone or Jackson Hole. The area of Island Park is just a stone throw away as well. Harriman State Park is close by and offers great hiking and fishing. There is so much to do in this area!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

I love watching the Osprey fishing the river below and the bald eagles soaring at eye level from the apartment window. At night coyotes can be heard howling and an occasional owl will visit the property. The sunsets are a memorable experience every night along with the plethora of stars in the sky. This is Idaho at its best!!
