Private and secluded but close to town and all the action and Homer spit.
Private driveway off east hill road. Two charming individual attached cabins sharing 1 large front porch, renting as 1 unit. Makes this real deal with two bedrooms. two queen beds and one full and pull out couch bed. Two bathrooms, Two kitchens and all amenities.
Ideal for couples traveling together or fishing buddies.

Host with 50 years of Alaska stories and recommendations.

Huge yard, all the space they need is there For kids, We do allow dogs . Please let us know if you want to bring more then 1 dog. No pit bulls.

Amazing location! This rustic log home was very comfortable and the views from the house area amazing! If you're in town and don't need a full kitchen, you won't regret staying here!

BEST CABIN STAY EVER!!!

The host was so sweet and welcoming. She texted me before arriving to let me know a mother moose was in the yard next to the cabin and was in labor. Shortly after arriving, we witnessed the mama give birth to two moose twins--a ONCE IN A LIFETIME experience!! We had the amazing opportunity of watching the babies grow over the few days of our stay. The mama was maybe 10-15 yards from the big window on the side of the cabin, so we were able to watch her all day and night, even when inside. Even without seeing the moose, the cabin was absolutely beautiful and super cozy inside. I would HIGHLY recommend this cabin to anyone. If you don't have dates planned for your stay yet, try booking during the last two weeks of May. The host said the babies this year came early (May 13th). In the guest book, a guest wrote on May 24th 2024 that they witnessed moose being born as well.The cabin had a beautiful view of Homer Spit, so regardless of when you go you will not be disappointed with your stay!

Great little place. Up on a hill with beautiful view, the yard has a large grassy area. We rented both sides of the cabin, kids had one side and we had the other. Comfortable beds and the cabin had everything we needed. Anne was very friendly and welcoming. We loved the rustic Alaskan cabin feel and the location couldn’t be better! Morning coffee on the porch was the best!

Great VRBO

This is a great place to stay. The cabin was comfortable and the views were great. The host was friendly and comfortable.We stayed on one side and our granddaughter and family stayed on the other side. It was perfect.

Wow....Says it all

Fantastic view from property of spit, Bay and snow covered mountains. Cabin is authentic and rustic , the way you picture Alaska lodging. We had the amazing experience of waking up to a mother moose 50 ft from our window giving birth, she stayed for several days while we witnessed the baby moose grow. owners were great .....will come back!

Wonderful experience ! Love the Alaskana decor. Roomy, warm, and provided everything we needed for a family of 5 and BIL. We will be back for our next adventure !!

Beautiful view

We enjoyed our stay in Homer. The house was set on the side of a mountain overlooking the spit. It was absolutely gorgeous! Ann Haynes was lovely and very gracious.

A different kind of stay

The host was very nice. As she described, it was very old and rustic. Just more so than I thought it would be. No keys or door locks. On a place w 2 other buildings. Another house was rented next to us. Our building had Two side by side rooms. Mine. A little musty. We heard Squirrels in the ceiling in one side. Hope they are not chewing wires. Kerosene heaters. One easy to figure out, one not so easy. The back side of the heaters right next to my bed was dusty & w cobwebs. The smoke alarms were removed??! The lighting was insufficient in my room. The fridge was motel sized. My room was just too cluttered with stuff. There was mold on my bathroom ceiling and inside the shower stall. We discussed and while handy to Homer, a nice view & not very expensive, we wouldn’t rent there again.

Great location

Loved this place. Its a great location with partial view of the spit. Large lawn area for kids to play. Amazing porch for sipping coffee. It has all the basic. The cabin having to complete sides was perfect for my parents to stay on one side and us to stay on the other. Will stay here again

Great Family Cabin

This was a perfect homebase to explore Homer. Our entire family enjoyed the cabin and liked having two sides (one for the kids and one for the adults). Very comfortable stay and a perfect view of the Homer spit!

Clean & comfortable with amazing views!

The cabins were perfect for our fishing trip to Homer! Husband and I in one side, our adult son and his grandpa in the other side! They were very clean, with comfortable beds and plenty of blankets & pillows. Also plenty of clean bath towels for our week long stay. The views from the cabin porch were amazing, the listing pictures don’t do justice to the view, it’s better!! The pics of inside the cabins are very accurate, they are cozy and cute with everything you’ll need! Anne was a wonderful hostess and we very much enjoyed meeting her!! I will highly recommend this place to all my family & friends!!
