Quiet Country Apartment Getaway

A quiet country getaway on 20 acres. Located 27 miles from Mt. Bohemia, 15 miles from Houghton (MTU), 3 miles from Swedetown Nordic Ski Trails and just down a dirt road from snowmobile Trail 3. Lots of parking space, even for trailers in winter.

Enjoy a newly finished apartment, separate from our house, located above the garage. The apartment has an open concept kitchen/living room with a bunk bed and queen sleeper sofa and one separate bedroom with a king bed. Access to wifi and a smart TV included.

The space
A full kitchen with a large island to accommodate all your basic needs including: a Keurig, pots, pans, cutting board, dishes, utensils, paper towel, microwave, oven, and refrigerator. Bathroom is fully stocked with essentials and bath towels, wash cloths, shampoo and conditioner, and a hair dryer.

Guest access
Private access to apartment located up steps on side of garage (contactless check-in with a code). Use of fire pit and chairs/picnic table/swing, swing set, volleyball court, outdoor games and gazebo seasonally available. (Firewood for a bonfire can be available with notice).

Other things to note
Our home is also on the property (to the left coming up the driveway) the apartment is located above the garage. Steps are located to the left side of the garage. Please do not park in front of the garage doors so we can get our vehicles in and out. We keep it open with lots of room for parking for vehicles and/or snowmobile trailer.

Incredible! stay. Accommodation was just as described. Very roomy, clean, with a large bathroom. Beds were very comfortable. Location was very quiet with beautiful views. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony watching the deer. Kitchen was very well stocked.The location is very close to restaurants in Calumet and 15 minutes from Hancock/Houghton.Owner is very prompt in communicating and very helpful. We happened to arrive as th family was arriving and they were very friendly and gave great suggestions on restaurants and activities.

Our host thought of everything you need for a relaxing stay. The apartment is very spacious and very quiet. It was very close to everything we wanted to see and do. We definitely felt like we were lucky too have found this little piece of paradise. We would book it again if we travel back to Calumet. Five stars for sure!

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION ..... and great value! We were in town for the Snowmobile Water-cross races held in Lake Linden. Less than 5 miles from the venue. We enjoy the dining in Calumet and points north. The property is shared, the hosts house is 150' to the west and the only time we knew they were there was when their vehicles were parked in front of the garage. We felt totaly comfortable coming and going whenever we wanted and even walked the property a bit by the pond and apple trees and never once felt we were intruding or being watched over.Super quiet, awesome sleeping with the windows open!!Renters should recognize that this is a 2nd story unit OVER the garage so climbing stairs is a must to enter.

This property is a great find. Peaceful and also close to town if needed. In the middle of Keweenaw activity so it makes an ideal home base. The kitchenware is fully stocked (we cooked a lot while here). It is spacious and clean.

Memorial Day Weekend Stay

My wife and 3 daughters (ages 3, 5, and 7) stayed for 3 nights. Communication with the host was quick and pleasant. The property was clean and in a beautiful location. They had a box of toys my kids loved playing with and even some fish/turtle food for them to feed the animals in the pond. My wife and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony after a day of exploring the Keweenaw Peninsula. Great location and lodging option.

My wife and I stayed here for a quick snowmobiling weekend. Great little property for a weekend getaway! Property is located about a mile from the trails with easy access to them. Host was great and responsive!

This was a beautiful place to stay while we explored the Keeweenah peninsula. They had everything you would need if you wanted to eat in all the time as well. Comfortable bed, spacious arrangements and lots of other thoughtful amenities. Loved our stay. Will definitely consider another visit.

Clean, comfortable, spacious & lots of comfy measures! Great communications! Amanda was a pleasant & very helpful host. The only extra comfort measure would be a ‘dumb waiter’ to avoid multiple luggage trips up the steps to the apt. Would book again in the future 👍

This property is actually where host Amanda grew up climbing apple trees and catching frogs in the pond. Her father built the playhouse, swing set, and volleyball stands still in use today.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

This location is ideal if you are looking for a quiet country getaway with beautiful sunrises. Enjoy wildlife like frogs singing in spring, deer grazing in the yard most summer evenings, ducks floating in the pond, and even a flock of wild turkeys has made visits. Property is ideal for star gazing or seeing the northern light ( just let us know and we can turn off all outdoor lights). This was once an apple orchard and many apple trees still provide fruit in the fall, help yourself to a few!
