À propos de cet hébergement

Lynda Nature Nested Tiny Cabin with Hot Tub

Summary:

Like all of our Wauhatchie Woodlands cabins, Lynda Cabin is a rustic retreat tucked into the Tennessee woods. Only 5 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, Lynda offers a private hot tub, a furnished back deck, a covered front deck with a charcoal grill, and a shared fire pit. It can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests, with a main bedroom and a sleeping loft.

The Space:

Wauhatchie Woodlands is a family-owned collection of quaint, tiny-home, rustic-comfort log cabins on a 14-acre wooded property surrounded by National Park land. This natural setting is nested less than a mile from the city with quick access to downtown Chattanooga, Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain, and the surrounding area.

Named after the May Family’s long-time neighbor, Lynda is equipped with everything you could ever need to make the most of your time in Chattanooga.

Lynda is one of our delightful rustic cabins. During your stay, you’ll enjoy a private hot tub, furnished back deck, covered front with charcoal grill, shared fire pit, and an incredibly memorable, charming space surrounded by nature. Lynda can comfortably sleep up to 4 guests between the main bedroom and sleeping loft. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, smart TV, private washer dryer combo, & more.

Starting from the back, you’ll find the fully furnished deck, surrounded by decades-old trees, there awaits a space of pure relaxation, your private hot tub, with easy access to the main bedroom. Just off the deck is the shared fire pit and picnic pavilion, perfect for fireside chats and evening s'mores. Firewood can be purchased on-property.

Inside, the main bedroom hosts a queen bed, closets for hanging clothes, lots of drawer storage, and a Smart TV. Just outside the bedroom is your dedicated washer and dryer combo unit on one side and the full bathroom with bathtub on the other.

A step further we enter the kitchen, fully stocked for cooking/dining with an electric range, microwave, stove, full-size fridge, dishwasher, and all the dishes you need to whip up a vacation feast. The living room and kitchen feature an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings with the main TV across from the sofa.

Up the staircase is the sleeping loft equipped with two twin beds. Kids will love having their own space. For grownups, clearance in the loft is low, just 4' - it’s perfect for sleeping, just watch your head when you get up.

The cabin’s covered front porch with dining set is the perfect place for a morning cup of coffee, or grilling out on your dedicated charcoal grill (guests must provide their own charcoal).

Chattanooga is a city known for its railroads. There are active train tracks that border the property to the north and I-24 is about half a mile away. Please note that light sleepers may be affected by the ambient city and train noise. Each cabin has been equipped with a white noise machine to help minimize any disturbance.

We are pleased to allow dogs at Lynda Cabin, under specific terms and conditions. See our house rules/notes for more information.

Pack ‘n Play Travel cribs are available upon request.

Sprout General Store recently opened on the Wauhatchie Woodlands grounds. Grab a coffee (fueled by Roasted Root Cafe) to start your morning, treat yourself to ice cream, pick up a map with activity ideas, and browse Timberroot merch and local goods—everything you need is within just steps of your cabin.

To make sure your stay at Wauhatchie Woodlands is perfect, our locally based Guest Services representatives are on-call from 8:00 am to 11:30 pm, seven days a week.

Guest Access:

You’ll have your cabin all to yourself during your stay. Wauhatchie Woodlands is a 14-acre property surrounded by National Forest. Guests have access to trails around the grounds, as well as shared pavilions, community fire pits, and playground. Please be respectful of other guests during your stay.

The Neighborhood:

Wauhatchie Woodlands sits in Lookout Valley, a scenic pocket of Southeast Tennessee tucked between the Tennessee River and the base of Lookout Mountain. It’s close enough to Chattanooga to explore, yet far enough to feel like you've escaped the hustle and bustle of the city. Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center is nestled right at the base of the mountain with 12 miles of hiking trails and canoe rentals to paddle scenic Lookout Creek. Those trails connect directly up the mountain, where Rock City, Ruby Falls, Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park, and Raccoon Mountain Caverns round out the adventure. When you're ready for a bite or a night out, downtown Chattanooga is only minutes away.

Fall is a full season in Lookout Valley. September brings Ironman Chattanooga through downtown, five minutes away, and Rock City opens its Enchanted Pumpkin Patch up the mountain from September 18 through October 31. Mid-October through early November is peak leaf season here, with the valley's pastures and foothills making for an easy scenic drive. Downtown fills up too, with Wine Over Water at Renaissance Park on October 10, World of Bluegrass October 20–24, and Head of the Hooch at Ross's Landing the first weekend of November, one of the largest rowing regattas in the country. Wauhatchie Woodlands keeps you close to all of the autumn action.

Getting Around:

To make the most of your stay, we recommend a car to get around. Each of our tiny cabins can accommodate two cars in private driveways.

UBER and Lyft are available throughout the Chattanooga area, in addition to a number of local taxi services. Please note that availability may be extremely limited during peak times.

The city of Chattanooga offers reasonably priced parking on the street and in several public parking lots.

A free electric shuttle bus runs between the Chattanooga Choo Choo and the Tennessee Aquarium with stops at every block. The buses run every 15 minutes, Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 10 pm, Saturday from 9:30 am to 11 pm, and Sunday from 9:30 am to 8:30 pm. Bus schedules may vary, please consult the Chattanooga Area Regional Transit Authority website for the most up to date schedules.

Bike Chattanooga offers bike share rentals at 42 self-service kiosk locations all around downtown Chattanooga. With over 300 bicycles and 50 e-bikes this is a great way to explore the city. Visit Bike Chattanooga’s website to learn more.

Other Things to Note:

Trains & Noise:

Chattanooga is a city known for its railroads. There are active train tracks that border the property to the north and I-24 is about half a mile away. Please note that light sleepers may be affected by the ambient city and train noise. Each cabin has been equipped with a white noise machine to help minimize any disturbance.

Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes are prohibited inside Timberroot properties.

We ask that guests help us prevent pests by keeping doors and window screens closed and maintaining proper cleanliness during their stay.

By booking with us, you accept that encountering insects and woodland creatures is a possibility and that no refunds will be issued for such instances.

Surveillance Cameras:

Please note that for your safety, cabins may have a camera located on the front porch, facing outwards monitoring activity in front of the cabin (including driveway and roads).

All of our cabins are equipped with keyless entry systems that make check-in and check-out a fully automated process. Full instructions will be provided prior to your check-in date.

If you have any questions, comments, or experience any difficulties during your stay, our team of dedicated, locally based Guest Services representatives are on-call and available to help from 8:00 am to 11:30 pm every day.
