Property is in a wonderful area and the secluded Sealodge beach is a jewel. Property is due for a facelift. Especially the bathroom/tub. This is referring to condition of the facilities only. Everything was very clean. The AC was inadequate and the room stayed warm regardless if we kept everything shut up and blinds pulled or tried opening the windows at night for a sea breeze. Overall we were pleased with our stay and the owner was easy to work with and replied promptly with concerns.

Nice place at a beautiful secluded beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall very pleased. Room is outdated with cosmetic problems but very clean. Listing states air conditioning but it is. Small portable units that is permanently vented to the front door. AC is inadequate for size of apartment and stayed warm. We tried opening windows at night as well and still stayed too warm. Access to the sealodge beach makes the place worth the stay. Small community with shops are near by.

Honeymoon getaway

This listing was perfect for my husband and I. We loved the location in princeville. Really close to nice restaurants and a grocery store. And really easy access to hanalei bay which is gorgeous. We also loved that there was a path right next to the building that went down to a gorgeous lookout to watch the sunset. The condo was great we both loved the little couch bed by the window it was so relaxing for after the beach. The place also had two Tommy bahama chairs and an umbrella which came in super handy and helped us save money on our trip. Even though the condo was fully air conditioned it had a unit that was attached to a window. It worked well for us it was cool in the morning and night but our only complaint is it didn’t really reach into the bedroom area so it was a little hot and stuffy at bedtime but not unbearable for us we had two fans on us that were provided in the condo. We had an amazing stay we loved the place we got it was perfect for a couple of two!

Tucked Away Privacy

This little space was perfect for just me. Private & cozy. Do wish the spider webs had been swept off the lanai and from the window screens. It would have made it nicer in general to sit on lanai & on inside window seat.

Clean, well stocked, and a great location - but dated

At first glance, we were very disappointed with the room. It felt dated and dark, with worn out furniture (e.g., the TV stand was missing the veneer on the top-right side and there were water stains and scratches on the coffee table), an old worn-out feeling mattress, a squeaky folding door to the bathroom that was a pain to operate, a rusty tub and rusty light above the tub, and lots of other signs that the apartment needs updating. However, it was VERY clean and in a great location, and that means a lot too. We really appreciated that it was stocked with sunscreen, bug spray, beach chairs, and beach towels. In the end, it is a solid "3," a fair value for the price in expensive Princeville.

Beautiful little spot

I was initially a bit hesitant after reading the reviews, but most of them just sound like spoiled, whiny people, especially after staying there. This place was great! Plenty of airflow to keep it cool, and fans to add some extra oomph. Nicely appointed and comfortable, and the lamps have all been replaced recently, a big improvement over the ones in the photos. If you expect a 5 star resort, this ain't it, but if you want a clean, comfortable place to stay that won't bankrupt you, this place is perfect.

Location is fine. Not exactly ocean view. Kitchen needs basic items.. 1 wine glass, 3 mugs etc It’s fine for 2 people but 4 is not comfortable. Pull out needs to be replaced, mattress is shot and frame is bent.

Very Disappointed

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’m really hoping I can figure out how to forward picture I took. The place could be lovely if the owners would put a little bit of updating. Tub was not clean. Water pressure was poor. Perhaps a new hand held shower head would help. It needs a paint job. Towel had what appeared to be feces stains! One wash and it came out! We were LOCKED into the condo and had to call the emergency number to get out!! Thank goodness for Chris!! He was awesome! TV should have instructions.

Great location and property but unit needs love.

We had a great stay overall. Great location, safe, and lovely. Having said that, the unit itself while clean, definitely needs some attention. We had a few issues there…bathroom window doesn’t open, front door would not open right away with code. It would sound like it opened but even trying to push hard it took several tries to open. Bedroom door doesn’t close. Hot water valve in bathroom is just a trickle and doesn’t work well. This unit really needs to be updated, repainted and refreshed…sliding doors and windows are tough to slide. Great location and property but this unit needs love to be worth the price.

Without an airconditioner, it is not habitabl. I had to stay with friends during my vist it was so hot inside the apartment. I would gladly have paid extra for an air conditioner. Basically uninhabitable.

Nice location, not worth the price (OLD!)

This property is a nice location (end of cul-de-sac, on bluff) however it is OLD and has not been updated. Water rot in lots of places, no ventilation, bathroom window does not open, no air flow. Curtains broken (obscuring view), dishwasher was coming out of cabinet, faucet not secure in counter, rusty tub, sink unlevel so did not drain.... Just really old and nasty. Aside from the laundry pods, it was not well stocked with dishes or anything else. Luckily we were only there for 3 nights (checked in late, out early), including long day at haena---so we were not there much - thankfully. For the price we paid, we were expecting a better place. VRBO had this listed as 2 adult / 2 children but you can't possibly fit 4. Dining table is so big you can't walk around it. It's the ghetto of princeville no doubt. We will not be returning here nor could we recommend this place. The property MGMT kindly reached out to check on us and offered to address some of the issues, but since our stay was short and we were mostly out and about, it wasn't worth the time. I did provide them feedback so they can work with the owner to address either the pricing or the issues!

don’t waste your time

Myself , husband and three year old stayed here . As soon as we walked in we knew it wasn’t a place for us , the pictures shown on vrbo advertised was not what it actually was . NOTHING was clean . The towels were musty and not usable . The kitchen mats and bathroom mats smelled , the kitchen sink was grimy . All the cups and plates were not clean . They had grime on them . There were major safety concerns with our son and the windows . The property says ground floor , but the edge of the condo is on a big hill and the windows look down 15ft down the hill . Windows are there with screens that could EASILY POP out . We were worried our son would lean up against it and fall out of the house . There was a major leak under the sink right next to an electrical socket for the dishwasher that was extremely unsafe as well . Our check in date was Friday November 5th at 3pm . We arrived at 4:30 and right away I called the property manager to express that we DID NOT want to stay in this disgusting unsafe place . The person on the phone said that they didn’t have anything available and said a manager would call me right back . An hour went by and no one contacted us . I called again and the office was closed leaving us no choice but to stay . The next day I called the office all day and got no response , and then Sunday comes along I call for two hours and NOTHING . I finally get in touch with someone and they tell me they can give us a refund of less than half of what we are paying . Not nearly as much as what was fair . We asked to speak with a supervisor named KATHY . And they refused to give us her number or have her call us . So we had to wait another day . Now it’s Monday . We call as soon as the office opens at 8am and get someone on the phone that says she’ll call back . 3 HOURS later . She finally calls , and has the audacity to try and charge us for a cleaning fee and the three nights we stayed . And didn’t want to give us a fair refund back . After over an hour of arguing with her , and her not working with us , we literally gave up , and realized that this property manager didn’t actually care about helping us but just wanted to break even and move on . She gave us her best offer and we had no choice but to take it . We left within the hour . To anyone looking at this place don’t waste your time . It was filled with frustration . We went to enjoy Hanalei and ended up just being on the phone arguing with unhelpful staff

I was surprised at hot poor of condition the unit was in for such a high profile resort area like Princeville.

An affordable place to stay in princeville

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were invited to Kauai for a wedding and was told that the wedding party would be staying in the princeville area...I was skeptical to book here with only 3 reviews at the time I was researching, but I, along with two other people, was on a budget and was willing to roll the dice since it was in the area we needed to be and everywhere else in the area that would sleep three guests were costing way way more.It’s an older condo that isn’t fancy but it did the job and we still found it charming. We were going to be out doing wedding stuff and exploring so we really didn’t mind it too much. My cousin and I shared the bed, which was VERY squeaky, and we could also hear the people above us snoring. The bathroom vanity mirror light wasn’t working, as well as the light in the closet (we would pull the cord to turn it on but it wouldn’t..we needed to reach up and twist it around to get it going). Also, when showering, the water would drain very slowly. The kitchen had an area under the sink that had a blue tarp hanging and we assumed it must have been a dishwasher at some point that got taken out but never replaced or covered with another cabinet. Also, there were lights on the side of our beds, but the one on my side didn’t work. It had wires exposed in the center..a little sketchy if a kid were to have gotten a hold of it. My friend slept on the couch. There were two pull out couches but they were both uncomfortable to sleep on when pulled out, so he just slept directly on the folded up sofa.Location was great, there were beautiful views, and parking wasn’t too bad. If you want the experience of staying in the princeville/hanalei area without breaking the bank and just need a place to rest, I would still recommend this unit. It’s not fancy, but it’s in a great location...though it is an older unit that could definitely use some updates, it was clean enough. Staff was friendly and

Everything you need

They thought of everything you will need to hit the beach and enjoy your vacation. I didn’t need anything they didn’t have especially in the kitchen which can be lacking in other rentals. It is private and relaxing, loved having the lenai to drink my coffee and a glass of wine at night. No air conditioning but they have fans and you just open all the windows for a cross breeze. First floor so if have little kids you won’t bother anyone. You are under people so if someone is staying above you it can be a little noisy. I would stay here again.
