Our stay was fantastic and we had a great Christmas here! The Google Maps photos are old so it was a relief that the house is exactly as depicted in the photos on this site. The property is very dog friendly with the fence and there is a nice paved trail down the road to go for a walk, leading to some shops on an adjacent street. The house is located minutes from grocery stores, skiing, restaurants, etc.The host, Lisa, was responsive to my messages leading up to our stay and checked in during our stay to make sure everything was good. She also provided check out instructions prior to our departure. The binder provided also has all of the house rules and instructions, as well recommendations for restaurants and other stuff.We had everything we needed to cook meals, and the gas fireplace in the living room provided a nice touch while relaxing or watching TV/movies. The space heaters also took the chill out of the air in the bedrooms.We will stay again on future trips to Big Bear.

This is a nice pet-friendly cabin. Plenty of room and a quiet neighborhood in the pines just a few minutes by car from shopping, and a 10-minute walk to a coffee shop and some other places. The property is older but very comfortable. We enjoyed our 8-night stay.

This cabin was just what we needed for a quiet weekend away from Los Angeles. The yard is fully fenced so our pup was safe. We didn’t cook there but it looked like there is everything you would need. The location is also good. Close to everything but not in the middle of the hectic Village area. Our host communicated well and we had no issues what so ever. Big Bear did not disappoint and can’t wait to come back for another stay.

It was a cute cabin just around the corner from the base of snow summit. Lisa(host) was very communicative ensuring we were well taken care of and prepared for our stay. My only feedback for her would be to change her wifi password password to "5starstay" to match the guest experience.

Great stay in Big Bear

We had a great stay at the property. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog with us and enjoy the quiet season on the slopes. We had everything we needed for a family of 4 and our dog. The location was perfect. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing VRBO for Families 5-STAR

This VRBO has it all! It has a great layout inside and plenty of room for a family of 5 with 2 pets and a XL crate! We didn't realize when we booked it, but the home has a rope swing and a ZIPLINE out front! The kids spent most of their time outside playing on the swing and zipline rather than sitting inside or playing on their iPads!!! WIN!! We would stay here again 100% and hope to do so again in the winter.

Cozy, great location, a lot of fun

I'd love to buy a place like this. It's manageable and feels like home. Big yard, perfect for the dogs and for kids. The location is ideal. We golfed, fished, and went boating at the lake. Vons is nearby so you can grab groceries. Family of 5 had a fantastic time.

Fantastic mountain getaway

We spent 4 days in an effort to get away from the fireworks in LA and the place was amazing. It provided the quiet we were hoping for and was close enough to enjoy the lake and picnic areas. The amenities were as described and I appreciated the host being very responsive when we had a question. 10/10 would stay here again.

Great place to stay

The cabin was what was stated. It was clean, everything was working. We had enough covers for the cold nights. It's very centrical located, 2 minutes from the pharmacy and 5 minutes from BigBear Mountain. The closed yard was perfect for the kids top play.

Love is in the details

This is an updated, warm and inviting property that feels like a home-away-from-home. There's a great, fenced-in yard that was perfect for our dog to romp, and loving details (from the large dvd collection and very well-stocked kitchen, to toys for the kids to enjoy) that make you feel taken care of. Would definitely go back!

Great stay at Hawk Hill

Two older folks with a dog and had a pleasant time. Hawk Hill Cabin is in a cul de sac so there is virtually no car traffic. Location is convenient and close to everything. Our host Lisa was very available and very pleasant. The fenced yard was a real plus for our doggy. Nice spacious cabin.

Cutest Cabin

My husband and I came here for some snow play and relaxation with the kids. It was the perfect size with the cutest cabin decor. A great neighborhood for sledding too, we were able to sled right on the property and our kids loved the little swing out front! Cozy beds and enough blankets to keep warm. The host was great with communication, will stay here again!

I am an east coast transplant and found my serenity in the wooded beauty of Big Bear. I love being creative and expressing myself through my home. I enjoyed meticulously updating every aspect of the cabin and took many of the photos that decorate the walls myself. I'm a huge animal lover and love surrounding myself with all things furry (and feathered). I love that my family has a place to escape to and we enjoy sharing it with others.

I love the four seasons and really wanted a place with some land. The cabin sits on almost 10,000 ft so after meticulously updating my cabin, i turned my attention to bringing in some of the fall colors from my home state of Massachusetts into the yard. Aspens, Maple trees lilac bushes dot the back yard. I also wanted space for my young daughter to play - she loves the saucer swing and we're hoping to put a kid friendly zip line in next summer. Now if I can just make peace with the gophers...
