Affordable, bright studio with beach access, AC and WiFi!

Playa Blanca #10 is a bright and spacious ocean view studio, located on Akumal's Half Moon Bay. It is just steps from the beach and a few minutes away from the beautiful Yalku Lagoon.

Ideal for singles, couples, or a small family of 4, this well-appointed 450 sq. ft. upper floor studio space has airy vaulted ceilings and gets plenty of natural light. It has a small table and chairs, a king-size bed, a single day bed and trundle bed, a cozy living area, and a kitchenette with a refrigerator, a microwave, and a portable stove top. The space is designed in a Mexican style with tile floors and colorful Talavera tiles in the kitchenette and bathroom. On the sandy beach a few steps away, there are sun loungers and shady thatched palapas for your and your guests’ enjoyment.

Cleaning is included at check-in and checkout. For weekly stays, there is also a mid-week cleaning. For monthly rentals, cleaning will be once a week.

The town of Akumal is located about halfway between Playa del Carmen and Tulum and just over an hour's drive from Cancun International Airport. When staying at Playa Blanca #10, you can enjoy all that Riviera Maya has to offer; you'll be just a short drive to either Tulum, Playa del Carmen, or one of the many cenotes and Maya Ruins in the area.

Communication with the host was great. Location amazing with lots of restaurants nearby. Juan and his maintenance team had the beach raked and everything perfect daily.

A great location in Akumal though not as close to the beach as we had anticipated. Small for 2 adults and 2 teens but still) still a great stay!

Great clean beautiful condo, our host was more than helpful with all that we needed and great on communication. Only downside is the seaweed on the beach which is the case for alot of Akumal Playa beaches from what I saw and was told about.

Relaxing week in Cozy Condo

The studio condo was perfect for my week on the beach. Just steps away from the water, and a nice view from the window. Renting a bike made it easy to get into town and around Akumal. David was great, answering all my questions and set up an in room massage and covid test for me. I hope to be able to book again next year!

Great little easy beach stay

It’s a studio room that easily sleeps 4. There’s not much “hangout” space—no patio or balcony, but the location is amazing and the beach proximity was great. Wish the window that looked out in the ocean had been cleaned. It was so dirty we could really see out if it. Basically, this is a no frills place but served us well and the service by the management company was great.

The window outside the studio tends to get dirty quickly due to the high concentration of sea salt in the air. This is a common issue in coastal areas, where salt from the ocean is carried by the wind and settles on surfaces, including windows, leaving a residue that can obstruct the view. We'll make sure to address this issue more proactively in the future to ensure our guests can fully enjoy the ocean view. An Excellent Getaway!

Our friends were staying in a complex next door, so this property was a perfect location for us. Besides being close to our group of friends, the condo met all of our needs for a relaxing place retreat too. At night, the area was quiet and the bed provided a comfortable night of sleep. During the day, there was a small grocery store nearby and two restaurants within a short walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Playa Blanca Condo.

The unit was well supplied and management was very quick to respond to any requests. They were extremely helpful with navigating the area, excursions and even a medical issue. For us, the only limitation was lack of outdoor space as there is no terrace, but this is reflected in the price which is very good for the area and the beach is supplied with tables and loungers which are only steps away from the unit.

We will return again and again as the unit is super quiet, has a lovely view of the ocean, has a fabulous housekeeper, the bed is super comfortable, and Akumal Direct is very accommodating to ensure we are taken care of.We rent bicycles to ride down the road to town for dinner, and also a great happy hour down the street. The snorkeling off the beach is incredible. The area is so quiet with condos so there is no loud music to disturb your sleep. This is not a nightlife location, snorkeling during the day, and a dinner out is what a vacation here entails :)

Dream condo and location

The unit, as well as the beach were well maintained. I snorkeled daily, right from the condo. Half Moon Bay is faily shallow, so I could go out quite far. Although, I did not see any turtles in this area, I did see stingrays, beautiful fish and coral. The location is pefect. I could walk to all places in Akumal, including Akumal Pueblo. The restaurants were fabulous and not pricy. Finally, I felt competely safe at all times. I definitely would come back.

Not what you'd image in a beach front vrbo

This area and main building are nice, and right on the beach, but this unit is on the second floor of a small separate building out front with no outdoor sitting space at all. You can easily walk over to the beach in front of the main building, but it feels like you are intruding on the outdoor space right in front of the main building units patio doors more than a common space for the complex. The king bed was so hard that after the first night my wife ended up sleeping in a separate small pullout bed at the other end of the room. Overall this room was more like a kitchenette motel room than a VRBO and a disappointment. Also note that this place does not have a pool. That's easy to miss when booking online as many similar units in the area do have pools.
