Good stay

We booked this little apartment last minute for a holiday weekend. Our friends booked the other apartment that was in the same building. We were able to sleep 4 comfortably. One guest used the couch but it was very comfortable. It was clean and spacious with a good bit of storage. We were able to park many cars in the lot along with our boat. It was right in the middle of town. We used millcreek marina to put our boat in the water and it was less then 15 minutes away. We would definitely book here again.

Disaster - left early

This experience was by far the worst we have encountered with VRBO. We should have known it would be a disaster when we didn't receive any advance check-in info. Check-in was listed at 4pm. At 2pm, I hadn't received any info for check-in. I messaged the owner multiple times asking how to access the property. He finally responded but assumed I was another person who had stayed there previously. His response indicated I should do "just like before". After explaining I didn't know what he meant & had never stayed there, He said the key would be left under the mat since we were arriving after 9pm. We arrived around 10pm & a woman met us. The parking lot was extremely dark with no street light. She gave us the key & told us which unit was ours. The unit was filthy. Obvious dirt on the kitchen counter & in the fridge. Dirt, grass, and bugs (spider and cricket) were in the tub/spider webs everywhere. The toilet was disgusting. When we pulled the comforter back on the bed, the sheets were wrinkled and dirty...obviously not washed since the last person slept there. I contacted the owner by phone who assured me he had no idea & had been told by the property manager it was clean. The lady returned, this time with a man. The man swore he had just cleaned the unit the day before & washed the sheets. The owner agreed to let us move over to the 2nd unit since it wasn't rented. This unit was only slightly cleaner. It also had visible dirt & coffee stains on the counters and something gooey stuck to the kitchen table. The sheets didn't appear slept in, but also didn't appear very clean. We noticed there were ZERO towels. I again contacted the owner who said he would have them bring some. The man knocked on the door & offered 1 towel set from the other unit but said he had to wash & fold other towels to bring them down. When he finally brought more, they were dingy/stained. The toilet in this unit was worse than the other with feces everywhere. Luckily I had Lysol wipes with me. We were so tired from driving all day & had nowhere else to sleep, so we decided to try to sleep in the bed. We got very little sleep b/c I kept feeling like things were crawling on me & I was also worried about the location & our safety. We decided we needed to leave ASAP & left around 630am w/o showering or anything. I notified the owner of the concerns & decision to leave and he ignored me with zero response. Do not stay here.

Apartment in town

The apartment is behind a nutrition place (ie loaded teas,Yum). The building had private parking and was very quiet. Could easily walk to restaurant and store. Apartment was cute with 2 beds and a couch. Kitchen had everything we needed. There also a washer and dryer. It was very clean with great A/C. The only thing I didn't have was a hairdryer. Would recommend!

Great Getaway

Fun spot to spend a few days. The apartment is lovely and so accommodating. Will likely stay again!
