So glad you found the home well stocked and the beds comfortable. Our home starts off the year with a spare key in the kitchen but in the course of a rental season things do get accidently taken or lost. Still not sure why not having a spare key was such an issue with you as lockbox is located right next to the front door and if you absolutely must have a key in your possession during your stay the key is easily removed from the lockbox. We did call the first night or two of your stay just to check in with you to verify you were happy with the home, but you apparently preferred email communication as you never responded to the call or the voice mail left. I responded quickly to your first two questions even though the answers were in the information given to you 3 weeks before your arrival. There is a complete set of all information located in a folder in the coffee table in the family room, all you had to do was ask if you hadn’t seen it. Your third email was pertaining to a deck chair that had bent when your husband was sitting in it that you seemed to take personally. I apologized for the chair giving way (I did not build the chair) but I did explain that in the world I live in things do occasionally fatigue and break and it wasn’t directed at you. Sorry to hear about the ‘trouble’ you had with the neighbors, but I have no idea how they could have been ‘blocking’ the driveway. We have had up to six vehicles there from guests and there has never been an issue never mind the fact that the neighbors are perfectly lovely people and if there was something amiss they would have immediately moved the offending vehicle.. If you go back through our past reviews and in the conversations we have had with guests (which you opted out of) no one has ever mentioned the home being less than clean. I am sorry you found it so, but we have been in the home numerous times after Liz has cleaned and always found it more than satisfactory. As I mentioned in our email communication I sincerely hope you have better luck in your future home rentals and pleased that it won’t be ours. You’ve now had your say and I’ve had mine.
