Terrible Experience with Real Joy Vacations - Hurricane IsaiasWe booked Hidden Dunes through VRBO for October 7–11, traveling with two other families whose condos had different hosts. The difference in customer service was unbelievable! While making our eight-hour drive, one of our friends received a call from their host about a potential hurricane. Its track was still uncertain, but their host was already discussing options and showing concern for their safety. That prompted us to call Real Joy. Their representative was rude and dismissive, making it clear that any financial consequences were our problem. As the storm developed, our friends' hosts continued providing updates, discussing options, and looking out for their guests. Real Joy? Their ONLY storm-related text asked us to bring porch furniture inside to protect it from damage. On October 8, we left under a mandatory evacuation order. Based on our earlier experience with Real Joy, we went straight to VRBO for assistance. We contacted VRBO October 9, 10, and 11. Each time, VRBO tried to reach Real Joy but got no response! VRBO was responsive and worked diligently to get this right for us.Then Real Joy texted, wanting to "CHAT" with us before posting anything less than five stars.ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The accommodations and location were great. It's a great place to stay, with plenty of room for a family of 4. I recommend staying here; I just don't advise doing business with this host.

Very nice cottage with beach chairs, etc. available on the porch. I was confused because I booked it through VRBO but then it was managed by Forever Vacation Rentals.

Hidden Getaway

Very nice property that is starting to show its age but is well maintained. Aside from the 12-15 minute walk to the beach, overall stay was good. Only downside was noise from upstairs but to be expected in close confines. Would consider staying again.

Highly recommend!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Willow Cottage! The convenience to the pool and tram service to the beach was excellent. There were plenty of pool and beach toys for the family. That was a huge bonus. We only wish there were more washcloths and towels. Everything else was great! (Unrelated to the house: the gas grills were not working)We appreciate the communication of AC maintenance.

Nice property

We enjoyed our stay the week of Memorial Day. The condo is nice and clean. It's located right near the pool and an easy walk to the beach. Really enjoyed the screened in porch. My only suggestion would be the nonstick pan needs replacing and needs cooking utencils for nonstick cookware, not metal ones. Great vacation, we'll be back!

Perfect getaway!

This property was exactly as described. It was one of the cleanest properties I’ve stayed at, and we enjoyed staying in as much as we enjoyed being at the pool or on the beach. The kitchen was fully stocked and the rental company was great about communicating work being done around the property (didn’t bother us at all) and even called to check on us during the stay. The security at the front gate always greeted us upon entering, which made us smile. We had a wonderful stay and will be returning! Thank you for sharing your home with us! FYI- you’ll need cone shaped coffee filters to enjoy coffee in this beautiful home! ;)

Super Clean & Great Location

We were so pleased with the amount of space & how clean this condo was! I enjoyed sitting on the porch every morning having coffee with the view of the pool. Also, being on the ground floor was so nice as well. The walk to the beach is a long walk, but shockingly we weren’t there for the beach. There is a nice man with a golf cart who will take you to the beach, but it was $25. You can drive your car closer as there is parking spaces along the wooden privacy fence. We were there on a fishing trip. I highly recommend this condo!

Hidden Dunes, hidden facts

Little disappointed with our stay. Location great. Unit spacious and conveniently located to the pool. Considering what we payed for this unit we expected a few extras such as control of the AC, at least an extra roll of toilet paper in the bathrooms. TV's not synchronized to the available listing. Bed in master super uncomfortable.

Incredible accommodations and super clean!

We had everything we needed to enjoy our week in Miramar Beach. The Hidden Gem was comfortable & beautifully decorated. The AC worked great and kept the cottage feeling cool our entire stay, the beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of extra cozy blankets and pillows in each bedroom closet. The washer and dryer made it easy to keep our beach towels fresh & clean daily and we are returning back home with hardly any laundry. Our family enjoyed the Amazon Alexa in the kitchen to play music while we were cooking and spending time together inside the cottage. The kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed to make all of our meals. I cannot think of a single thing that could be added to the kitchen. There was a standard coffee maker, a new crock pot, a blender that works great, 4 slice toaster with multiple settings, fridge and freezer with an ice maker. *Things to bring for kitchen: dishwasher pods, trash bags, paper towels, salt and pepper, non stick cooking spray. The master bedroom is huge and could accommodate an air mattress or travel crib. The second bedroom was perfect for our 10 and 12 year old. They said the beds were comfortable and they enjoyed having their own TV. The open living room & dining room area was a great place to gather with our friends. We enjoyed our morning coffee and evening cocktails on the screened in porch while our kids loved sitting at the bar and being served through the sliding window from the kitchen. The pool and hot tub were very clean and a nice place to start and finish our day.
