Kimberly was a fantastic host! The communication with her was excellent. The property was just as described and was very clean and comfortable. There were 4 of us (2 couples) and the house provided us exactly what we were looking for. The location was perfect! It was quiet and has a beautiful view from the backyard. The neighbors next door were even great! They left us farm fresh eggs with a nice note when we arrived.Kimberly also left top notch suggestions of restaurants and wineries to visit and she was spot on with everything. We have already decided that our next trip back, we are going to try to rent this property again! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!

We loved our stay at First Crush Cottage! The property is absolutely stunning and meticulously maintained, with gorgeous valley views, a lush vegetable garden, and its own vineyard. Our host, Kimberly, was a fantastic communicator and made the whole process seamless. The location couldn't be better—only a 5-minute drive into downtown Healdsburg, surrounded by amazing wineries (with some within walking distance), and just a short walk to the Dry Creek General Store for great on-the-go breakfasts and sandwiches. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed for a perfect stay. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back soon!

We had a great stay at Kimberly’s place. She was incredibly communicative and did everything she could to make sure we were comfortable and knew what was available to us in the surrounding area. The tasting at Lambert Bridge is a must do! The house was perfect for 2 couples and very clean and cozy. I would highly recommend staying here, and would welcome the opportunity to visit again!

We have stayed in numerous VRBO's, this property was by far the best! It felt like a home away from home. Communication with the host was excellent. All of the little details the owner thought of were there. From arriving finding farm fresh eggs left by the neighbor; a wine tasting at Lambert Winery included in your visit; a bottle of wine; fresh tomato’s, herbs, wood for the fire pit in front of the home, and anything you would need to make gourmet meals. We enjoyed mornings and evenings by the fire pit behind the house enjoying the beautiful views. The layout of the home has the two bedroom on opposite sides, making it perfect for two couples. The location made it perfect for short drives in The Dry Creek valley and Healdsburg, and short day trip to Bodega Bay, San Francisco, Sonoma and Napa valleys. We will definitely stay at this property again.

Wonderful property that is quite relaxing. If you enjoy a cup of coffee in the garden within a stones throw of the neighbors vines and beautiful scenery - it’s a must book. Lovely interior and well decorated. Also the separate AC in every room is quite convienent and efficient. We were never hot and everyone could keep their rooms at whatever temp they liked.

Great location in the wine country. The home is well appointed for cooking in and enjoying the beautiful scenery behind the home. While outside you can hear the road noise but it’s minimal and still a lovely home.

À propos de l’hôte

Hôte : Kimberly DesJardine

Image de profil de l’hôte
My husband and I purchased the First Crush Cottage as a weekend getaway from our hectic life in San Francisco.

It is the refuge that we go to relax, unwind and exhale. Our girls, who are now grown, spent their childhood exploring the vineyards, canoeing the Russian River and discovering the rich countryside on hikes and bikes.

Over the years, our backyard has been host to a multitude of food and wine feasts with our friends and family. The fond memories are endless and rich.

Twenty years later and we still can't get enough of Healdsburg and our little slice of wine country heaven.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

In the heart of Dry Creek Valley, the First Crush Cottage sits between miles and miles of beautiful vineyards and picture perfect countryside. You can walk to a half dozen wineries or mosey up the street to the historic Dry Creek General Store, where you'll find the best sandwiches in the county.

The bucolic town of Healdsburg is home to world class wineries, the best of farm to table dining and a host of unique specialty retail and antique stores line its quaint town square.

It is no wonder that Healdsburg continually tops America's Best Small Towns lists.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The First Crush Cottage is:

-The best of both worlds. Nestled in majestic wine country vineyards and just five minutes from downtown Healdsburg.
-Beautifully appointed furnishings and meticulously landscaped grounds with hobby vineyard.
-Walking distance to wineries and the Dry Creek General Store.
-Fully equipped to meet all of your culinary needs including outdoor grill and herb garden May-October.

Each rental also includes wine and cheese tasting for four at the renowned Lambert Bridge Winery ($200 value).
