Month Long Visit

We very much enjoyed our stay at this house. It had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable, and had A LOT of space. While there were aspects of the house that could have been updated, I found the aesthetic charming and everything was functional. I loved sitting in the backyard in the evenings.

Nice stay

This was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting our UC Davis student. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was clean. Great location to downtown Davis, campus and Costco. Valerie was excellent to work with!

Needs Updates and Deep Clean

The location of the property is great, however, the property is extremely dated and would benefit greatly from new linens and bedding. The bedding in 2 of the bedrooms had not been washed and had good chunks and mucus crusted spots from previous tenants. The freezer had something growing inside, and the first bathroom had mold and dirty shower lining. Though the cleanliness was not up to standard, the property host, was responsive to our concerns.

Needs updating

We really wanted to like this house because of its great location to where our daughter is at UC Davis and its open floor plan but we won’t be renting again. The house is very dated and just the musty smell alone is enough for us not to go back. I purchased several candles but it didn’t do the trick. Pros- good location, open floor plan, stocked kitchen and nice backyard. Cons- musty smell, felt like staying in an older persons home that hasn’t cleaned out anything in a long time, very old bed spread and curtains, adult folding bedside commode sitting out right by the master shower (we finally had to move it in the closet), some door handles that were so old barely worked and a used not clean kids training potty in the cabinet under the bathroom sink. We arrived to the BBQ grill cover torn and barely on the grill that was disgustingly dirty on the outside and inside. We sent pictures to Valerie right away so she knew we arrived to it that way and she was very apologetic when she responded. She sent us a 4 page list of rules/requests a few days before our stay which seemed excessive. Overall we really wanted to like the place because we visit our daughter every 4-6 weeks but after we left we all agreed that the place wasn’t for us.

Nice and relaxing

We enjoyed our stay. There wasn't a lot of time we stayed at our vrbo but the wide open floor plan was enjoyable. If there was any thing we did not care for is was only having 4 rolls of toilet paper for 5 days. The beds were comfortable and all the instructions were eastly to read. We all enjoyed staying there. Open & airy!

Cute back deck area. Fruit trees. Large open rooms. Works best with single folks, as two bedrooms only have single beds. Large dining table makes business meetings efficient.

Very nice and convenient location

The large, open concept home is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It is close to shopping, restaurants, and the highway, and was a great location for visiting family in Woodland. The house was clean, has lots of room, a fully stocked kitchen, and the furniture is comfortable, but the furniture and decor are quite dated. The back yard is quite nice, and furnished with a table and chairs and a grill. We found the bed in the master to be fairly comfortable, but the linens were quite worn, and the pillows were flat and did not smell clean. For us, the house was a mostly positive experience.

A superb place

Beautiful large house, very well located. Nice backyard and everything you need to enjoy life with your family. Perfect neighborhood - beautiful, quiet and with many nature trails to explore. Close (by bike or car) to shops and the highway. The host's help and guidance is also greatly appreciated. We are going to miss the two months we spent here with our family!

Close to Student Apartments

House was all on one floor which was great for my mother who is 80 with multiple knee surgeries. I rented the house for the purpose of moving my kids back to UC Davis and that was accomplished. There was a giant fig tree in the front of the house that had some wonderful ripe fruit on it. We were only there for 2 nights so a short stay. The beds are very uncomfortable so plan on sleeping on the couch. The towels are worn and there aren’t any extras. If you spill anything, you will have to use whatever you can find. There a musty scent to everything
. My family called it mildew so bring your own towels. It’s a great walking neighborhood. Lots of easy trails. That’s why I gave it 3 stars

Perfect spot to visit Davis
