Nice amenities and lovely view. Nice room for price paid. The only issue was it took us 3 times before we could reach anyone to answer our questions. We tried by phone and though the VRBO app. Would stay here again!

Pools and grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Great location to stores and island activities. Condo was stocked with necessary items including beach chairs and umbrella which were great for beach. Dukes the hotel restaurant was wonderful and offered poolside drinks!! Also grills to make food. My adult girls said hide-a- bed was pretty comfortable.

The resort exceeded expectations. We had a great family vacation. The room was clean and comfortable. It was also very quiet even though it’s an apartment. We loved the convenience of the kitchen and main floor shop. The pool and beach were excellent ways to spend time between adventures off property.

I have to say I was disappointed with the rental. The unit was not in very good condition. The carpet needs replacing, and there were quite a few large scratches and dings in the walls. The trim in the bathroom is in really poor shape and the bathtub really could use a replacement. The unit was described as luxurious, and it was quite far from that. Additionally, the linens were poor quality, and the large, upholstered chair in the living area is quite dingy looking. I know this is not very much in your control, but the property is not in great shape either. The pool areas really need some TLC. The staff were not friendly either. I was expecting a lot more from this rental.

While we are grateful for your stay with us, we feel terrible that the type of property you were looking for was not reflected here. It’s true that some people cannot be satisfied no matter what’s received. Honua Kai Resort & Spa, located on Kaanapali North Beach, is widely considered a high-end, luxury, or "4.5 to 5-star" caliber property, though it is often technically classified as a 4-star resort due to its condo-style, rather than full-hotel-service, structure. Guests consistently praise its modern amenities, spacious suites, and top-tier features.  With tens of thousands of bookings and super host status, we consistently get good reviews for our linens and the quality and condition of our units. It is true that the extremely low prices we offered for your stay do not give you a mint on your pillow or absolutely perfect trims in the bathroom. Even so, we have responded to each item you were not satisfied with in an attempt to address the service we provide to our current and future guests. The value and quality of the product we hosted you in, cannot be beat and has met the standards of thousands of guests, but it will occasionally find someone who cannot be satisfied, wants more, and wants to pay even less. Thank you again for your stay and your feedback, as we always want to improve anything we can.

This condo was PERFECT!!! Such a great place to stay for our family vacation with our two boys!!! Maui is gorgeous! The Honua Kai is very conveniently located! Lots of great beaches, restaurants and attractions nearby!

Great for Family

The Honua Kai is one of the favorite resorts on Maui. The grounds are immaculate and the beach access is fantastic with amazing sunset views daily! My kids (13 and 15) loved the pools. Access to Lahaina was easy and we used the beach walk regularly to explore. The unit was clean and perfect for what we needed. My kids found the pull out sofa comfortable. The 2 sets of snorkel gear, beach chairs and cooler came in handy. Check in and out was a breeze and communication was great.

Wonderful time in Hawaii

My wife and I stayed here for eight days in January. We can't say enough how much we enjoyed it. We were worried, but Maui was as good as we had remembered it. The place was clean and well organized and stocked. The resort had lots of water fun. We loved the check in at all areas, for parking, for towels, for the door code, etc., was all set for us and made checkin and checkout so easy. We loved our stay here and would definitely consider it again.

Everything we wanted

I stayed at this property in Oct/2024 with my husband and 2 boys ages 7 and 9. This property was perfect for our famiky of 4. The pullout couch was comfortable for my boys, the kitchen had everything we needed to make our own breakfasts and lunches, and the beach chairs/cooler/boogie board provided were an amazing perk. The pools were awesome and we loved snorkeling right off of the beach! Id highly recommend this property!
