The pictures do not disappoint! This was an incredible little cottage with a perfect layout for a restful and regenerating weekend. The views are beautiful from the living room, kitchen, and bedroom and the fireplace is incredibly cozy for a winter stay. Penny was an amazing host. I ended up bringing all of my dinners back because she stocked the kitchen full of fresh bread, fruit, pastries, and fridge full of breakfast foods with recipes. We ended up with breakfast for dinner and still couldn’t eat everything. This was the perfect stay, so I will definitely be back next year.

Our host Penny was super sweet and welcoming. The property was absolutely beautiful. The View of Mt. Rainier was stunning. She provides basic breakfast necessities which was nice. Cozy comfy and clean.

Amazing Cottage with Puget Sound Views

We spent a long weekend at Penny’s cottage in Three Tree Point, and can’t say enough about how wonderful the place was, and how much we enjoyed our stay. First off, Penny met us at the property to welcome us and give us the “lay of the land” which was very helpful. The unit itself was spotless, and has amazing views from every room. and she had breakfast covered: eggs in the fridge w/ several jams, yogurts, baked goods, and even cookies to enjoy. We enjoyed making breakfast each morning with the fireplace on, and just watching the birds and other animals start their days outside. It felt like we were in a wonderful cocoon during our stay. Even had the chance to use the hot tub, which was in great shape and very clean. As I told Penny when we left: we loved every minute of our stay, and will definitely be back!

Best part of the trip

The host communicated often and got us in early. A hand written note with all our needs met for the entire trip, I never had to call for any issues. The only issue I had was I didn’t book it for the entire trip. It was perfect, when I plan my next trip to Seattle it will depend on the vacancy of this rental.

I have a confirmation email saying that my reservation was received and they took money for the entire booking. The day comes for us to arrive and no email giving arrival instructions was received. Upon arrival at the property, no one is there and it appears lived in. I contacted VRBO and they processed a refund within 2 days. The email I received from the owners was

Perfect place for our anniversary get away

Everything about this cottage was beautiful! The personal touches from Penny (a note, amazing chocolate chip cookies waiting for our arrival, and other sweets and food items!). The view is stunning and we loved our walk down to the beach area. We used the grill to cook out one night and explored Burien the other days. It was a quick day trip to Snoqualmie for a hike as well which penny helped provide info about. The hot tub was a relaxing edition to the trip. We were intnebcity our first 4 days in the city so this was a nice change of pace and a great ending to our anniversary trip!!

Wonderful stay

Just what we needed. A peaceful weeklong stay outside the hustle and bustle of Seattle. The cottage was wonderfully appointed, just as the listing said, and Penny and Doug (hosts) were wonderful. Very attentive to our needs but allowed us the privacy to enjoy the serenity of the area.

Gorgeous view and cozy suite for a romantic getaway

My partner, dog, and I loved our stay. We were very comfortable and Penny was very kind and accommodating. We admired the waterfront from the hot tub, enjoyed the short walk down to the beach, and binged a show by the fireplace. It was perfect for a romantic getaway.

Three tree B&B was just what we needed

Cute little weekend getaway nice neighborhood virtually zero noise very peaceful owners were super friendly and let us be the whole time! You get to park in their driveway and your vehicle is safe the whole time. if you had any comments or concerns during your stay you could reach out to them and they would get back to you within the hour typically, all the accommodations are there we went grocery shopping and we're able to make dinner every night! Beautiful sunrise and sunset every day you can see from every part of the house it was wonderful! Their dog Callie is so cute and friendly (only if you wish to meet her so if you are not a dog person don't worry) thankyou Penny and Braly!

Wonderful in every way

High praises for this rental. The Cottage & the views are outstanding. Some of the nice touches I've not seen at other places includes a nice collection of staples in the kitchen & refrigerator (butter, milk, cream, cheese, juice, selection of sodas, spices & condiments). The owner is very friendly & easy to communicate with. We had a lovely, private experience & will definitely return.

anniversary trip

Clean, cozy and very comfy. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make cheesy omelets, pancakes and granola with all the fixins. There was even homemade sourdough bread, pumpkin bread and cookies there for us to enjoy. Great views of water although obstructed by large ugly telephone poles not shown in pics. A lovely, safe neighborhood to walk in with good water views.

Really enjoyed our stay. Cozy place with a great view and they provide all the ingrediends needed to make an amazing breakfast. Even delicious homemade bread, cake and cookies which were baked on site. Highly recommend.

Weekend getaway

We had a lovely stay at Three Tree B&B. I recommend staying here as the view of the sound and Mt Ranier are amazing. The accommodations felt like “home”. Comfortable bed, comfortable living room, nice hot tub. It sets your mind and body at ease after traveling and sightseeing. Morning coffee was a treat using the press. We would definitely return again!

Lovely cottage overlooking Puget Sound

The Three Tree Point B&B provided a lovely home away from home. The cottage is well-appointed and stocked with plenty of food and drinks, primarily for breakfast - more than we had time to enjoy. There were delicious cookies when we arrived, a fresh made loaf of bread, two types of breakfast/snack breads and fruit. Milk, OJ, sodas, coffee and tea were available. We were impressed with the care that Penny and Doug took to help us feel welcome and comfortable. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck with views of Puget Sound, as well as the beautiful flowers all around the property. The rose garden was especially nice. The numerous windows allowed views from every room. We would definitely return for another visit.

Romantic & restorative

Staying at Three Tree Point felt like a life/marriage reset. The house is clean, is the perfect size for a couple and is so romantic and relaxing. The views are breathtaking and the neighborhood vibe is serene and calm. The hosts are wonderful and helpful. Loved all the yummy pastries and other food already stocked (eggs, OJ, milk, cereal, granola, fruit, etc). They provided a list of their favorite restaurants and we loved the 3 we tried. We also really appreciated the king-size bed, blackout shades, and air conditioning (though the weather was amazing and opening the windows for a fresh breeze was wonderful too). We enjoyed breakfast on the patio with the warm sun and cool breeze. We only had 2 small gripes and they definitely wouldn’t stop us from coming back (1) the pillows are very firm
 we would have loved squishy options (2) the toilet is a SMALL round, older toilet. Very clean but hard to fit on. Overall, we highly recommend Three Tree Point and will definitely be back!

Best time in Burien

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend in Three Tree Point. The cottage is darling and just as pictured. It was so special to wake up to the view each morning and was incredibly quiet each night. There was food left for us to enjoy for breakfast. We didn't use the jacuzzi but hope to return and will stay longer! We also loved the Three Tree Point Store at the bottom of the hill. They had delicious pizzas and slushies on Friday night. Such a great trip and we can't wait to return. We would 100% recommend this property!

About Us

Hello, I'm Penny and this is my husband Doug and our two girls Braly and Brita. We are the innkeepers of the Three Tree Point Bed and Breakfast. We hope you will visit our B&B while you are in the Northwest. Three Tree Point is the realization of our dreams. We enjoy providing a true 'home away from home' experience for our guests. Doug works hard as a CEO for an Ultrasound Company. I was a mechanical engineer at Boeing for 8 years. We had our first little girl, Braly, in 1993 and our dream was to be able to stay home with her. The bed and breakfast has made this possible. Brita, our second daughter was born in 1996. Our family interests includes water and snow skiing.

You may be welcomed by Callie, our white German Shepard who has a preoccupation with tennis balls. She has been known to accompany guests to the beach (upon request) for a stick throwing / swimming game. There is also Lillie, our friendly feline companion chosen by our daughter on her second birthday.

My love for what I do insures a personalized experience at Three Tree Point Bed and Breakfast. We continue to strive to improve our services and with fourteen years experience and insights from our guests, we want to guarantee your visit with us is memorable.
