Unique, Charming "Zen" Property with great valley views

Available for a 9-12 month rental. $4000 per month plus utilities. Get away from the hustle and bustle at this "instagram-able" property … Boho chic furnishings, lovely carved wood accents and dramatic mountain views define the home. Located on a horse property, with corral and pasture adjacent to the yard, this air conditioned 3 bedroom, 2 ½ bath home rental sleeps 6. Take in the beautiful valley views while you enjoy breakfast on the back porch or marvel at the sunset while you enjoy cocktails. Dinner can be served in the dining room where big picture windows frame the gorgeous mountain views, or dine al fresco on the huge farmhouse picnic table in the front yard. Conveniently located between Carbondale and Glenwood Springs, you are just 2.8 miles from Highway 82, 10 minutes to downtown Carbondale and less than 15 minutes to downtown Glenwood and the Hot Springs. Each bedroom has a queen bed, and the master bedroom has a lovely en suite stone and carved wood bathroom. The kitchen features a Wolf gas stove and the pantry stocks everything you’ll need to prepare memorable meals. The owner and her son live onsite in a separate downstairs apartment and they are happy to introduce you to the horses. All linens, kitchen ware, fans and necessities (toilet paper, paper towels etc…) are provided. TV, wifi are provided. There is no cell phone service at this property unless you are doing an internet assisted call (like a facetime call). You can get your shows via internet (netflix etc, but you may experience the buffering that happens in rural areas). **NOTE:**There is a $250 cleaning fee that is NOT reflected on the total that VRBO will bill you. Guests must leave a $250 check or venmo for the housekeeper when they check out. Peaceful farm house with character

Not your average vacation rental. This place has some character. Beautiful woodcarvings and modern bathrooms. It's perfectly located between Glenwood Springs and Aspen. Very quiet area. My kids enjoyed feeding the horses, chickens and the the cute bunny. The hosts are some of the nicest people I've ever met. But there are a few shortcomings. There's no cell phone signal in this area, but the wifi was pretty good. There is no AC, so keep windows open at night to cool down. The house has been going thru some renovations, so a few things might be off, nothing major.

Thanks for being the first guest at this property! I'm so glad you got to meet the owners and your kids enjoyed meeting the animals. Most houses in the area rely on "mountain a/c"... keep the windows open at night, close up the house around 9:00 a.m. Nightime temps are int he 40's in the summer and that keeps a house cooler in the daytime. There are fans in this property as well. As the rental broekr, I am asking every guest for feedback so we can make sure this rental provides a great vacation for everyone. (mountains do impair cell service, but that can be a gift... you get to unplug and have a relaxing vacation ;)

The quintessential home away from home! Absolutely breathtaking property!

From the moment we arrived we were in heaven. The doorways, the breeze, the little decorations here and there, the chefs kitchen! We came for a wedding and this place caused a stir within the entire wedding party. Everyone wanted to know about the cool place we were staying at and rightfully so! The views alone will make you cry and decompress. If you plan to work from home, get a hotel, this is to forget about your busy life and enjoy the beautiful surroundings our creator made for us! The cat Darma was a frequent patio visitor as well as the dog who are both VERY FRIENDLY. We received fresh eggs thanks to Susan, you were a great host as well as Tom! We are so grateful to have this experience and we plan to return!

Wonderful stay

We felt very at home during our stay. The house was far enough out of town to enjoy the peace & quiet, but it was also just a short drive to Glenwood Springs. The beds were very comfortable and even though it was July we were able to sleep comfortably with the windows open to keep us cool. We couldn’t have asked for more during our stay. We highly recommend this property.

Unique Home With Supreme View Of Valley

Love this home! Amazing, detailed woodwork throughout property, an entry that extends outward to welcome you, pastoral front porch, comfortable furniture, well appointed, amazing view, and very peaceful. Location just outside Carbondale allows easy access to Basalt, Glenwood Springs, nearby trails, and miles of scenic roadway. Stacey (property manager) was very accessible and accommodating with the rental process and the owner both gracious and informative with the upmost respect for our privacy. Peaceful and Quiet House Results in Serenity

This property is outstanding. It gave us a chance to get away from our busy daily schedules and enjoy life. The house is charming and has everything you need. The back deck with expansive views of the Roaring Fork Valley is great for sharing meals, fine wines and star gazing. Communication with owner was excellent. We would love to stay here again and again!

Wonderful Stay at a Zen house

We spent a few days at this property and it was lovely. The appointments are thoughtful and comfortable, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms nice. The property is clean and well cared for (owner lives in the apartment downstairs) and the communication was great between both the property manager and the owner. My friend and I like to cook. The kitchen is well stocked, the barbeque is great and the workspace flows well. There's a nice size deck with valley views, a great spot for meals. This is a peaceful little valley with beautiful homes and small horse properties. It was fun walking the neighborhood, taking in the scenery and the quiet vibe (though the road does get some passthrough traffic). There are a few nice hiking trails that you can access on foot, and Carbondale is about a 15-20 minute drive. We'd definitely go back !

House has so much charm and the views fantastic. Close to everything ,hiking,eating etc. Property owner very accomidating and personable. Scenic drive no matter where you go. Definitely reccomend!

Stunning views and Beautiful home

I fell in love with this home online and even more deeply when we arrived for our week stay. Suzan was an absolute pleasure to work with. The front porch was so inviting and a wonderful place to read and relax in the afternoons. The back deck had an amazing view of the mountains while eating our meals. The home itself was extremely well appointed. The wood carved doors and pebble floors in the foyer and master bath were exquisite. The homes decor was so beautiful!! The beds slept so well. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with anything and everything you would use at home. Not cheap stuff, but quality. The gas grill was a plus as well and clean!! The home was close to Carbondale and Glenwood Springs for shopping or dining excursions. Lots of trails in walking distance but a playground of hiking, biking, and kayaking in the area. We had the most amazing week!! This is by far the best Vrbo experience I have had! The owner was fantastic, the home was amazing and the location was perfect!

Wonderful and interesting art house.

Spotless and very well appointed art house. Lots of special luxury touches in this home. Extra care was quite evident in the preparations for visitors. Very comfortable and extremely clean. Lots of ambiance. We are horse people so we loved the neighbors. An all around great place to experience. An attraction in itself.

Carbondale Zen House

Everything about our stay at this house was fabulous! We enjoyed sitting on the back deck both morning and evenings, the view was great. We also liked to sit on front porch which had comfy chairs and day bed to relax on and enjoy a cold beverage. It was a pleasure meeting the owner and her son who lived on site. They were very accommodating as well as the rental agent. If we’re ever in Carbondale again I would definitely stay at this house again.
