Welcome to Chandler Ranch. Established in 1884 and operating today as a working cattle ranch and equestrian center. We invite you to enjoy this unique San Luis Obispo County destination. The near 600 acre property accommodates both small and large groups, private events, retreats, corporate meetings, and more. From the stunning historic main house to the contemporary ranch house and charming original school house, this property offers a blend of lodging experiences.
Chandler Ranch centers around its historic Victorian home built in 1884, originally owned by the Webster Family, full of local stories and community folklore. The home has been lovingly maintained with many original features yet includes many new amenities. Small and large groups can step back in time while enjoying the modern conveniences of this impressive estate home. Downstairs offers formal living and dining rooms, a charming parlor room with stunning original built-in cocktail bar, a guest room with queen bed (sleeps two), two powder rooms (half baths), modern kitchen with butlerâs pantry, breakfast nook, and staircase to the upper living areas. Upstairs offers four additional bedrooms, sleeping up to eight more guests; a bedroom with a king bed across from a shared full bath, an additional bedroom with a king bed, full en-suite bathroom, and adjoining dressing room, one room with a queen bed (also leading to the adjoining dressing room), and one room with two double beds. Plus, two optional rollaway beds bring the total guests accommodations up to 12. Out on the patio and surrounding lawns, enjoy the cozy fire pit under the stars, industrial sized BBQ, separate detached modern catering kitchen, and outdoor dining options. Or just find a quiet spot in the shade for some personal R&R overlooking the original circle driveway, rose garden, established grounds, and nearby grazing fields. By contrast, the contemporary guest house offers a touch of modern and casual retreat lodging with tranquil views throughout the property and the neighboring ranch hills. Youâll enjoy three bedrooms, one with a king bed and two with queen beds to accommodate up to six more guests with two full bathrooms, open living and dining areas, a breakfast bar, a gas fireplace, flat-panel TV, modern artisan-inspired furnishings, a tranquil courtyard, high-end kitchen amenities, indoor laundry, and a charming front porch surrounded by lush, fragrant gardens. Those guests looking for day-use can book several buildings and areas for private events and over-night guests can bring their horses for boarding with modern barn accommodations and ample room for trailers, tack and gear. Rent the whole complex or select areasâŠinquire for customized rental options and fees.
Visitors to the area are invited to explore the many nearby towns, activities, and attractions across San Luis Obispo county. Stunning coastal beaches are 45 minutes to the west and popular wineries are found nearby in all directions.
This property has expansive grounds that overlook a fishing pond, olive orchard and resident fauna. There are many hiking/ biking/horse trails available on site as well.
Pets considered on a case by case basis for an extra $200 non-refundable pet fee.
Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
