Dukes Cabin at Gilbert Lake is the perfect location for your Cooperstown getaway. The main entrance to the beautiful 1,500 acre Gilbert Lake state park is right next door, where you can lay on the sandy beach, swim in the lake, kayak, or hike the many trails. The property is 20-25 minutes to Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame/ Dreams Park) and 15 minutes to Oneonta.

Newly renovated in 2021, the cabin has an open floor plan brand new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, new bathroom, and brand new comfortable bedding. Hi speed WiFi, landline phone, and Sling TV provided with over 30 major channels.

From the front deck you can listen to nature, and sometimes the stream that runs along the front of the property. Dining set on the back deck let’s you enjoy outdoor meals (BBQ also provided for cooking).

Wonderful Cabin

Loved the cabin and the location. Our son played at ASV and it was a short beautiful drive to and from. The cabin was perfect for my husband and I. Clean and comfortable; I would highly recommend!

Our stay was perfect. It was a quick 13 minute ride to ASV. The cabin was super clean with all the important amenities. The host was easy to contact and super responsive. The wifi and AC worked amazing!

Great Cabin

Great place to stay. We were in town for Cooperstown Dreams Park tournament. Loved how quiet the area was. Listing is 100% accurate no surprises. Communication with just was easy and super responsive. Would love to come back again.

Updated, modern cabin in beautiful location across from Gilbert Lake State Park, within easy driving distance to Cooperstown, Fly Creek and Oneonta. Cabin had everything we needed, and thank goodness air conditioning worked great, because it was over 90 degrees that week!

Beautiful cabin, easy to find - on a main road but very quiet. Almost directly across from Gilbert Lake.There were a few things missing from the cabin but the owner was very responsive. Could not get me the things that weren't there (ironing board and paper towels) but offered to reimburse me if I purchased them.

Wonderful place in the remote woods!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and cozy and looks more updated in-person than on the pictures. I would definitely recommend it!

This cabin was a great little getaway after being at Cooperstown All Star Village for our son’s baseball tournament. Just what we needed.

Freshly renovated wood cabin only 1 minute from gilbertlakestatepark right off the main road very easy to find. Very clean perfect place to get some quite rest

Fair remote cabin

The place itself was okay. The location is good if you’re looking for a remote place to stay. The cabin tho was very dirty and even the sheets had hair and other stuff on them.

Sweet little cabin

We enjoyed our stay at this great little cabin. Clean and comfortable. Loved how close it is to Gilbert Lake State Park. Only issue for us was no pets rule and that might prevent us from renting in the future.

Beautiful Retreat

Our son played at CASV and my husband and I, our nine year-old and my mother-in-law all stayed comfortably at Duke’s Cabin. It was a much needed peaceful place with all of the needed amenities. If our younger son places at CASV in the future, we will definitely be back at Duke’s!

Hidden Gem

The household was just bug enough for our needs. Clean, well apportioned and close to Gilbert Lake State Park, a hidden gem. We enjoyed seeing deer at dawn and dusk. The weather was a welcomed change from the FL heat and it was close to everything we came to do.

Everything was great. I did message yesterday though as we checked out early- but didn’t hear back. Only other thing I would add- is to maybe add blinds to the window in kitchen and front door.Other than that. All went well. Thank you so much!

We stayed at Duke's Cabin during Week 1 of Cooperstown All Star Village, and it was absolutely perfect for our family! The cabin sits right in front of a peaceful creek, which made for the most relaxing mornings sipping coffee on the front porch.The drive to All Star Village was an easy 13 minutes, and we loved the scenic route filled with wildlife—deer, beavers, rabbits, and chipmunks kept us entertained every day. It became a fun car ride to count how many we spotted between the cabin and the field!If you're looking for a quiet, nature-filled getaway close to the action of Cooperstown/All Star Village, Duke's Cabin is a gem. We’d definitely stay here again!

Great time!

The cabin was so cute! Off the road and very quiet. We LOVED Gilbert Lake state park and the cabin was right there! Cell Reception was bad but the Wi-Fi worked.
