Adorable 3 bed, 1.5 bath Ranch Home with fenced yard
Enjoy our recently renovated 3 bedroom, 1 and a half bath ranch home. Close to Easton Shopping Center, the airport, Ohio State University and so much more! The home has a large living room with a 55" LED smart TV and an additional game room with a second 55" LED smart TV. Making this a great spot for family and friends to vacation together.
Overall it was a good experience. On first night one of the bedroom doors could not be closed all the way and got stuck in the door jamb. When attempting to reopen the door to get out of the room the front top of the door became disengaged from the door itself. It was obvious that the top of the door needed to be shaved down to allow easier opening and closing of the door.
This was perfect for us for the weekend of the air show. My only concern would be the treatment in the backyard because we had our dogs. Otherwise perfect location. Easy check in and out and very comfortable!
We stayed here while visiting my son who lives in Gahanna. Great place, all the amenities we needed. Clean and a well equipped. Minimalistic in furnishings which suited us perfectly. Plan on staying again on our next visit.
Stayed there for 2 nights. We really just needed a place to sleep as we were out all day both days. There was a hiccups the first night with one of the rooms being unavailable. We contacted the host, he replied right away. He promised to have it fixed and make it right and i must say it absolutely did. I wish we had use idmf the washer and dryer nut thats on me for not reading the complete description. I would definitely stay hear again.
Upon entering the home there was a strong odor. The best way to describe it would be musty/moldy. Previous reviews called it cat urine but that wasn't the odor that we smelled. Finally found most of it to be coming from the wall air conditioner in the enclosed porch area with the large windows. The air conditioner was dirty and seemed to have mold on the vents. There was also black mold in the corner of the wall near the floor. We closed the doors leading to that room and never used the room. This seemed to help greatly with that odor in the rest of the house. There was also some black mold on the ceiling in the shower. I would think that this could affect people with respiratory issues. The second major issue is that one of the bedroom doors was locked and we weren't able to access it during our stay. I sent a message upon arrival to the host and received no reply during our stay or after. We were sent the customary check in information with the host stating that if we had any questions to contact him. So this was very disappointing. If there were not these two issues the rating would have been 5 stars. It is as advertised with the pictures being accurate. If there was no smell & mold and all bedrooms were available I would highly recommend this for families and anyone wanting to stay in a nice home in a quiet neighborhood that is close to everything.FYI: If a previous guest lost a gold chain necklace it is in the master bedroom on the windowsill.
Easy to find! The house was clean and beds were comfortable. (Make sure to bring utensils) Lots of stuff to do in the surrounding areas. We had a great time at the fishing expo and went to Other World and the botanical gardens. Which were amazing!! Thank you for hosting!
The house is a good value for the price, and I appreciate being able to find pet friendly places. It is not super fancy but the furniture is sturdy and comfortable. I rated it 4/5 stars for 3 reasons. First, the added room off of the kitchen, which leads to the fenced back yard, smelled of cat urine. Although it appears to be fairly new carpeting it might be better if the carpet was replaced with vinyl flooring. We simply did not use that space. The railings on the steps from the back door exit are unstable. It was cold and snowy while I was there so definitely needed to use caution taking the dogs in and out. Lastly the fenced yard was good except for the gait, which needs to be rehung. All that being said I would not hesitate to rebook the house on subsequent trips to Columbus.
