The Flight Deck will have you feeling as if you are soaring above the Jefferson's with one of the most breathtaking views in all Ashe County and is still conveniently located minutes from downtown, Ashe County Cheese, Mountain Aire Golf Course and convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock and Wilkesboro. We invite you to come and get away from the hustle and bustle and relax while enjoying the breathtaking year-round, long range 100-mile views of the North Carolina Mountains. The space
The Flight Deck is a cabin in the woods with unbelievable views.
The Flight Deck has three levels of cozy beauty. The main floor offers two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. One room has a king bed and the other a queen. The main floor is also where you will find the fully stocked kitchen and living area with a queen pullout sofa. You will find yourself gazing at the view while sitting next to the gas logs or take a walk out on to the wrap around deck and enjoy the polywood chairs, lounger or swing. Over looking the main floor is a loft. The loft is a perfect place to play a game of chess or just relax with a cup of coffee. On the loft level you will also find a private main suite with a queen bed and ensuite bathroom. The basement floor is where all the action happens! It has another living area, a game room with a pool table and a game table, arcade game and two sets of bunks. One bunk bed is queen over queen and the other is twin over twin making it versatile for any group. The basement floor also has a beautiful bathroom with double sinks and a tile shower. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer if you choose to. The basement floor also has direct access to another deck with a bar, access to the firepit and cornhole area. The Flight Deck will offer a beautiful sunrise from the deck and you will not want to leave.
The Big Tree Community is an established subdivision with mostly paved roads that provide easy access to The Flight Deck. You feel above it all at 4,500 feet. As you relax on the covered deck, you can enjoy dinner outside on our outdoor dining table, you can watch the cars travel through the hills below while sitting on our nice Polywood chairs, or see the lights flicker on as the day ends.
We are a family that loves dogs and we welcome well behaved dogs weighing less than 40 pounds (Maximum of 2 dogs) are welcome for a 1 time nonrefundable pet fee of $100 per dog plus tax. Pet fees are an additional fee to the total cost quoted. 2 night minimum for off peak seasons 3 night minimum for select holidays 4 night minimum for Thanksgiving, Easter and the entire month of October 7 night minimum for the July 4th, Christmas/New Year holidays.
Check in time is 4:00pm or after and Check out time is 11:00am

As you plan your trip to The Flight Deck please be reminding that winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The Flight Deck is accessed through mountain roads which can be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is your responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO REFUNDS, allowances or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.
PLEASE NOTE: It is strongly recommended you obtain travel insurance when booking our cabin. Sometimes unforeseen circumstances happen which could cause you to need to cancel your trip. If you choose *not* to obtain travel insurance, please know that we will abide by our advertised cancelation policy and no refunds will be provided should you decline to protect your travel investment. If you choose to book this cabin, that action constitutes agreement with this policy.
