Displeasure

As before, ants, gnats, and cockroaches plagued our stay. A running toilet and an Unoperational TV, plus a fan which wouldn't stop added to the dilemma. Combat pay should be issued for trench warfare with the beasties. I certainly wouldn't turn down a partial reimbursement. Paul Gilbert

The view is fabulous

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: But it stops there. The property is well kept and overall presents well. The Unit, however, is not well kept, cupboard doors are askew or broken, the appliances are old and broken down (stove burner and garbage disposal don't work, refrigerator is cracked inside, and dishwasher is rusty). Truly needs TLC and apparently is not getting it, either from the owner or the Management Company, which was not responsive to issues. Chase'N Rainbows is not the company is used to be.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 103 at Paki Maui was very disappointing. When we arrived the door code didn’t work and it took 45 minutes to get in touch with someone. Everything was old and the unit definitely needs an update. We knew that there was no air conditioning going in but I had hoped that the unit would have been in better upkeep. My daughter’s shower kept filling with water whenever she would take a shower. Her toilet broke at 10 PM the second night which I needed to fix. When we arrived the deck was dirty and the chairs and table had bird poop all over them. Everything was very dusty in the unit as if it had not been cleaned for several days prior to our arrival. The only saving grace was that the location and view were beautiful. I would not stay here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental property was located in an excellent location to watch whales. Property was clean and met our needs but could use updated appliances. We would also recommend the owner to get a different management company.

great view but place is a time capsule

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love the view but place is tired. We rarely write reviews but given $485/night for 2 br this is worth sharing -- 1) master bedroom bathroom fan worn out and barely functions as compared with the fan in the other bathroom2) shower valve in main bathroom is worn out and hard to adjust3) No refrigeration light4) garbage disposal does not work and there is no tool to turn it at the bottom or I would have fixed it. The reset button works but it wont turn5) patio outdoor outlet should have a weather flap but it is broken off and sparks when I plug my laptop into it, not to code and dangerous6) toilet leaked last night but I fixed the fill hose myself Its strange to have African art in Hawaii but that is a matter of taste.

You Did a Poor Job

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Reserved and paid for Paki Maui #103 and 104 in January 22. Paid remainder of cost in June for July 30 rental. Did not receive door code for 104 so asked Chase'N Rainbows-they said we would get it from another company. Arrived to find 104 had been rented by the second company to someone else. Chase'N Rainbows basically said that we were on own to find lodging elsewhere-lied about trying to help us (never called back). I have nothing good to say about this company and would never use them again. Our unit was missing a shower curtain and instead of providing a very small bottle of dish washing soap, we found a heavily diluted bottle (filled used bottle with water). Had to rent 2 hotel rooms 32 miles away for the other part of our party at an additional upcharge to us. Very inconvenient since the travel time varied from 1 hour to 90 minutes. Do not use this company. I am not sure if the problem is indifference, incompetence or malicious but they sure appear to not care about providing even basic customer service. I would rate this property management company as a zero if that was an option. Very upsetting and disappointing experience. Found similar comments in the guest feedback book in the unit so we know we are not the only ones to receive poor service.
