A Sauratown Mountain Getaway

You will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere with neighbors hidden by the woods. Only 9 miles to a grocery store in both Pilot Mountain and King. You will have the entire upper level including a open loft with plenty of games, books, and toys. Enjoy a beautiful sunset and take plenty of pictures. Extra guests are charged an additional fee.
The space
Your host will be in and out of the basement apartment which has a separate entrance.
With 3 sleep number beds on the main level you will be sure to have a great nights sleep. Visit local wineries in the area. Take a picnic to Pilot Mountain State Park. Check out the many trails and waterfalls at Hanging Rock State Park. Visit Mount Airy where the Andy Griffith show was filmed. There are many day trip attractions whether you want to stay close or make it a day trip. Go to Winston-Salem to hear a live band Or visit a winery. From Zip lining to Dan River kayaking, there is plenty to do on this relaxing vacation. Don’t forget the sunsets...or the star gazing without the distraction of street lights!

You will have access to the main floor and loft. The loft is perfect for children. There is a kids couch...books...games...puzzles..and a large dollhouse with accessories that mom and dad can pull out for play.

House was very clean and extremely comfortable Kitchen was well supplied. The scenery from the wrap around porch with a breathtakingly view of the Mountains. Bobbie was available for all our questions. We would definitely come back.

The house was exactly as noted and the host was incredible. My only issue was the location, it is very hard to get to at night and I would advice checking in during daylight hours. It is a very long private road with forks and tricky turns that are easily missed in the dark. I would stay here again and recommend highly to others.

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry you had such a hard time with my location. I sent you exact turn by turn, curves, landmarks, to get to my home. I've never had anyone have any problems even arriving after dark. My road is 7/10 of a mile long. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay.

Quiet Perfection

Arrived later in the evening her directions were perfect. She left the lights on knowing we would be in at dark. The house is beautiful and cozy. Setting outside watching the sunset over Pilot Mountain was so serene. Couldnt ask for a better view or host to communicate with !! Highly recommend !!!

October wedding stay

I honestly can’t say enough about this property, it was everything in the listing and more! We had 6 of us staying for a wedding 8 in Pilot Mountain. The location was perfect, The house was immaculate, the host was super responsive from beginning to end, and the view of Pilot Mountain just tops it off. The house is stocked with amenities, from plenty of extra pillows and blankets, to the kitchen, which has a multitude of condiments, utensils, everything you could need. The beds were incredibly comfortable! We will definitely be coming back to this property!,

View of Pilot Mountain everyday

No matter the time of day you can see the peak of Pilot Mountain from the front deck, coffee in hand you can smell the clean air and hear the birds. Such a peaceful time with daily adventures and walks down the long gravel driveway to the cows that greet you each day. House is well equipped from the towels to the Kcups and plenty of seasoning. The beds are perfect and the living area is very comfortable. Can’t say enough about this property and the owner is very sweet and thoughtful with every detail to make your stay like home.

My family was in town for my son’s wedding at Nana Mac Meadows in Pinnacle, NC, and this home was the perfect nearby getaway. Tucked just a short distance into the woods, the property offered a peaceful, quiet place to relax and recharge between all the wedding festivities. The house sits on beautiful land with a picturesque view of Pilot Mountain, and the kids loved watching the deer wander through the yard.The home is furnished and decorated with a charming, eclectic flair, and it was a delightful surprise to find it already decorated for Christmas. Everything was exceptionally clean, and we truly enjoyed meeting the homeowner and her two sweet pups. We even extended our stay and are already looking forward to coming back.

Wonderful! The home was exactly as pictured, and was very clean and immaculate. The kitchen was great—we cooked breakfast and dinner on most days and we felt right at home. The porch area is spacious and perfect for sitting and enjoying the view of Pilot Mountain. The home is fairly secluded and offers a great deal of quiet time to enjoy the surrounding nature. It is within 10 minutes to town which has a great Mexican restaurant and a multi room antique shop. The Farm, a fantastic place for fun fall activities is within a half hour drive in Dobson. The home is easily accessible to Pilot Mountain access points. The host was very helpful whenever we had a question or needed something, such as additional flashlights to explore outside in the evening hours. Would highly recommend this home for a getaway.

The kitchen had everything you need. She had games in the living room. A beautiful outdoor space with fire table. It was clean and comfortable. I felt right at home. It is a ways out of town , but that gives you versatility with all the hiking and other things to do. It’s really lovely

Beautiful country house with spectacular view

this home is absolutely gorgeous. Charming four-bedroom log cabin type home with huge picture window View Pilot Mountain. Private, in the woods at the end of a private drive. Immaculately clean, comfortable furnishings, well equipped kitchen, and sleep number beds. The best feature is the huge wraparound deck with barbecue grill, outdoor fireplace, and many lounges tables and chairs. The perfect place for a family gathering. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

I have the most amazing view of Pilot Mountain right from my front deck. I'm surrounded by nature...deer and Turkey. A pesky raccoon who tried to get in my garbage and occasional squirrels. I've seen a bear twice in 17 years...and a few fox.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

There are not many log homes in this area…My home is welcoming…filled with little extras that most homes don’t provide. Because I live in the main area when I don’t have renters, I am always stocked with everything that a home needs…
