Nice area

Very close to the beach. Elevator, nice small pool half shaded during most of the day. No icemaker for fridge and a hole in bathroom floor. But overall a great location.

Gulf Shores vacation

The property was clean and well stocked. Easy access to the beach and helpful elevator and carts for luggage and beach items. Easy access to all of the shops and restaurants. The only complaint is that for a pet friendly property, which is great by the way, there was not enough green space for the pups to potty and walk. Maybe add an additional grassy area on the side of the building so the dogs don't have to walk on the hot pavement and or sand and have more room for potty breaks.

Family Friendly

The unit was spacious, clean, and close to the beach. My only complaint was the noise was hardly buffered coming through the walls and ceiling.

Springbreak

Family vacation for spring break with a 14 yo and 10yo. We loved the location walking distance to shopping and restaurants, right on the beach and had a swimming pool was a perfect location for our family.

Perfect for our family

The condo was perfect for our family of 6. It's in a great location for walking to shops and dinner. The beach is right outside and it was beautiful! We will be returning for sure!

We really enjoyed the stay. We were able to bring the dogs which was essential and we loved the fact that we were right on the beach. The luggage carts and elevator were really helpful lugging all of the stuff since we were on the 2nd floor. The only comment I would make is that the toilet needed to be double flushed and the handle held down and we recommend a larger grassy area for the pups since you are a pet friendly condo.

Great location. Love the place but needs to be updated and a deep cleaning. Pictures look good but doesn't show everything.Check in was easy and convenient.

Nice but need updates finished

The unit was clean and well decorated. There is a need to finish the renovations that were started. New cabinet doors and attaching the dishwasher so it doesn’t tilt would be a great start.

Good Stay at the Gulf

The property we stayed at for the week was nice and clean. The property manager did a good job with any concerns we had. The only negative i can say is the pool area which is centrally located among the properties. The pool hours were from 8am to 10pm. Unfortunately, we had a group that was pretty rowdy until after 11pm and sometimes after midnight until we called to complain. After that, all was fine. If you are traveling with pets, they are NOT allowed on the beach at all. There is a vacant lot where you can take them to do their business and a dog park a short drive away. All in all it was a good stay at the beach.

Condo needs update. Beds and pillows were hard. Shower pressure low. Not enough pots and pans. Washer needs cleaned. Condo above is was very loud day and night.

Run down property

Property was old hadn’t been updated in years. Soft spots around tub and in tubs toilet handle quit working due to rust in toilet tank chain broke away from handle. Cabinet doors did not shut properly. For price I paid this was terrible.

Will most definitely be back

I'm so happy that my fiancée and I decided to stay here. Perfect location with a little beach view but it was honestly perfect! It was walking distance to the Hangout and right across the street from Hooters, what more can you ask for!? We even walked to Dollar General to get some snacks. No issues with the shower pressures, bathrooms or tvs. We slept just fine and had no noise complaints with the other condos around us and there was plenty of parking. We used their washer and dryer and everything worked just fine. My only suggestion would be if you are staying here with a large family and plan to cook be sure to bring extra pans for cooking. There was only 1 pan, so we had to cook our eggs first and then bacon, which isn't a huge deal but it's nice to cook it all at once. We did decide to grill as well but had to end up buying some tongs and a grill scraper because there wasn't any but again, not a big deal. We just purchased them but are planning on leaving them next to the grills for next time visitors. We definitely will come back to stay!

Definitely skip this one…..

If you have the choice of staying in this condo or staying home … stay home. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had on vacation. We left two days early because of the issues with this unit. This unit is old, dated, and dirty. When we arrived the unit was nasty and smelled extremely moldy due to black mold in the air vents and behind the toilet. (The mold ended up becoming a major issue which ultimately resulted in us leaving early and a family member getting sick). The bed linens were obviously still dirty since they were stained with makeup and hair from previous guest. We later found blood stains on the new white comforter we were given. The mattress in the master bedroom is extremely uncomfortable and the walls are paper thin. We got to listen to a group of about 30 partying in the pool until midnight most nights. (Super fun with a small child and after a long day of driving) Cabinet doors are broken and falling apart, the guest bathroom toilet constantly runs, the dryer door is broken, washing machine detergent holder is broken, ice maker doesn’t work, main television doesn’t work, the master bathroom shower faucet is coming off the wall, there’s a hole in the master bathroom shower floor and it’s squishy. The master bathroom obviously has some major water damage behind the walls and floor. I felt like there were times the bathtub could fall through the ceiling at any moment during my semi warm shower. We spent the first day of our trip trying to find a new place. The only option was a different condo for three less days and the same amount of money. We didn’t want to cut our trip short…if only I’d known how the week would have gone. We also spent the first two days coordinating maintenance and cleaning crews. Maintenance did come in to change out the air vents and clean the mold. At this point the damage was already done. We were already sick from the first night of sleeping in a condo constantly blowing mold into the air. When we came home everything we brought smelled moldy. I will say that Beach Getaways did give us a small refund (we are still waiting on this) but we still feel we wasted a lot of money and time. We paid a lot of money but didn’t get a vacation. Unfortunately, this was our summer vacation and can’t get the time back.

The Perfect Way to Vacation

This was my first experience using VRBO. I was concerned the outcome may not be exactly as listed. GREAT experience. The condo was exactly as detailed. It was just what we needed and exceeded our wishes.

Great but.....

We truly enjoyed our stay. We were disappointed that maintenance couldnt be reached on first day. Dish in living room never came on. Was told 2nd day they would be there so we missed out on a few family activities waiting. They never came or called. Internet was so slow we had to use our hotspot for our firestick in the livingroom'. So much running and jumping overhead but lots of kids so 🤷
