Breathtaking Views at Unicorn By The Sea Villa

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Unicorn By The Sea has 3 Bedrooms, 3 1/2 Baths, Breathtaking views, swimming pool, BBQ Grill, and Gourmet Kitchen. The main house has 2 Master Suite Bedrooms on the bottom level and there is a separate cottage with an additional queen bed with full bathroom and kitchenette. The property is very private, you can not see any neighbors and they can not see you. Fish Bay is the perfect place to relax after a long day at the Beach with your loved ones. You'll have a wonderful time stargazing at night and drinking coffee before kickstarting your adventure each day!

The house is equipped with a Tesla solar system and backup generator, so you will never have to worry about power going out (a common occurrence on St John). The cisterns have been deep cleaned and the water is treated with a top of the line filtration system, so there is no need to buy bottled water like at most houses on St John. The house has local internet service as well as StarLink (satelite internet) to insure maximum internet reliability. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! We love this property and we're confident you will love staying there as much as we do! Unicorn has some of the most amazing views on the island! You won't regret it :-)

Even better than the pictures. The view is absolutely stunning and world class. The home is very tastefully appointed with many tiny details unlike a standard vacation rental. You can tell this is a prized family home first. Communication was also excellent.

Amazing views. Perfect location. Morning sunrise and evening sun sets. Pool was a nice place to sit around and talk about the amazing beaches from the day. Host was fantastic, Giving us some great advice and recommendations. The kitchen being open to the outside was so nice, warm breezes and amazing view. The house was perfect for the three couples to enjoy exploring St. John.

We loved our stay here! The property is gorgeous and had everything we needed. We really appreciated the beach chairs. John and the rest of the Unicorn team were so accommodating and kind. The landscaping around the pool was beautiful and the views are incredible. The villa is quiet and private with a lot of wildlife. We saw lizards, deer, iguanas, and a darling family of 4 stray cats hung out in the woods nearby. The black and white kitten is so friendly! Check your hood before leaving because one of the black kittens had snuck in our engine! Interacting with them was a highlight of our trip. The location in Fish Bay is perfect and I’m glad we chose to stay here instead of other areas we looked at on the island as it’s tranquil here but only 10 mins from the business & amenities in Cruz Bay. (Taxi 80ish for 6 people) Highly recommend and would stay at Unicorn By the Sea again!

Great spot. We had 6 people stay for 5 nights. The view speaks for itself. The pool was a fun place to hang out. The kitchen is well supplied. We had a small issue with the grill but the property owner was very responsive and worked to solve the issue.Eating dinner in the open air kitchen was a highlight. We all were comfortable and would stay here again.

Amazing stay

We had a wonderful stay in St. John. The views from the property are amazing—pictures just don’t do it justice. We enjoyed separate sleeping spaces and the open air kitchen as well. Neighborhood is very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Looking forward to our next visit!

Absolutely amazing !

Unicorn by the sea is a must stay ! The house is clean , spacious and well stocked . The view really is breathtaking! The upstairs kitchen and dinning area is an open air space there is a constant breeze and we never felt the need to use the air conditioning. John was always quick to respond to any questions we had . One of the ceiling fans failed to work in the open air room and in just a few hours John had a Pedalstool fan delivered and in less than a day had maintenance there to install a new ceiling fan . The pool was a perfect temperature and always refreshing to take a dip in . The house has star link so we were able to use our phones , tablets and streaming with no problems , if you have ever stayed in Fishbay you know this is a rarity .I really can’t say enough positive things about our stay . We look forward to our next trip to unicorn by the sea . Thanks again John !

Magical Unicorn

The Unicorn villa and cottage exceeded our expectations. The view from the open air dining room/ kitchen drew us repeatedly to congregate at the table or on the lanai. The kitchen was well-equipped, but the villa is also just a short drive from downtown Cruz Bay and fantastic restaurants. Off the dining room, the air-conditioned family room gave us a gathering space and break from the humidity. Our kids (ages 17,18,20,21) watched TV, used the telescope, and put together puzzles during breaks from activity. The main house has two bedrooms which are spacious, clean, and air-conditioned with en-suite bathrooms, a lanai, and fantastic water views. I did not have a problem with my asthma here. One bedroom has an outdoor shower with its own water view. Incredible. Between the main house and the cottage is a patio with a small in-ground pool. Our kids loved it. It was clean, had incredible views, and a consistent breeze. I enjoyed sitting on a lounger around the pool after being out during the day. The cottage was a few steps down from this patio and has some privacy. It has its own kitchenette, sitting area, bedroom and bath. Great for a couple or someone who needs a little more down time, like my daughter. There is a washer/ dryer in the outbuilding by the driveway, 6 beach chairs, and a rolling cooler. John, the owner, is very responsive. Overall, an incredible stay that brought our family closer together during the holiday season.

Fabulous Escape

This property is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need for a fabulous stay in St John. The view from the main room and kitchen are gorgeous and a perfect place to enjoy meals together. The pool area is relaxing, comfortable and just so lovely. The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable, clean, private, have ample space and are perfectly outfitted. The host was so kind, friendly and helpful and always willing to help whenever we had questions about the house or the island! Would definitely love to stay here again if we are in St. John again.

Heaven

Absolutely wonderful in every way! We fell in complete love with this house and with STJ in general. It was everything we could have dreamed of and what I had been dreaming of for many years. I could go on forever about every extra detail and amenity, and all of the small special touches that this home has. The views are to die for. It is spacious, comfortable, and magical. Communication and information was superb and we felt that we could ask anything anytime. We are planning our next trip back in November and our wedding after just being there for my 40th birthday at the end of July. Hopefully it will work out to book at Unicorn for one of these stays and for future stays until we have a place of our own there! <3

Amazing home with amazing views!

We booked this house for our family of 4 (two kids ages 10 & 13), and it was the perfect fit for us! Both bedrooms are on the lower level and connected by a covered deck. One of the bedrooms has 2 beds, so my daughter and son were able to spread out and have their own space. The bedrooms and living area are air conditioned, which is a huge plus. The kitchen is open air, but we enjoyed our time in the mornings listening to the ocean waves and island rain roll in while having coffee. The outdoor shower has the BEST views and the entire house is completely private. The pool is small, but my kids still thoroughly enjoyed it and had zero complaints. The kitchen has high end appliances and all the necessary amenities to cook a meal. The living room has plenty of seating and a smart tv, so we enjoyed wrapping up our day there in the air conditioning. There was plenty of beach towels, bath towels, and a washer/dryer. The host was amazing to communicate with. Overall, this is one of the best houses we’ve stayed at on St. John, located in a peaceful bay, and has amazing views from every room. We will definitely be back!

Great Location

This spot is perfect if you want to be out of town and away from the crowd. The view is amazing. Our 3 girls were comfy together in the guest room. The home owner and local manager were very accommodating and helpful. We would stay here again.

Beautiful home and views on an amazing island

Check-in was simple as we were met by the caretaker who walked us through the property. The owners notes about the islands was incredibly helpful. The house was a great mix of air conditioned locations and open Caribbean style spaces. The view is spectacular, and you can see St. Croix on most days. The kitchen was well equipped and the layout was great for cooking. Internet was reliable and allowed us to work remotely for a couple days. Having the solar and battery backups was critical, as the power on the island is not reliable. I highly recommend this property, and I am planning a return trip in the near future.

Amazing Family Vacation

Unicorn by the Sea was absolute perfection, and I don't know how we'd stay somewhere else whenever we get the chance to return to St. John! I really appreciated all of John's help with recommendations pre- and during the trip, and while we never really needed anything from the property manager while we were there, communication with her was easy and responsive. The home is gorgeous and really well laid out; we especially loved having both open air dining and an A/C enclosed area for hanging out. The pool was the perfect size for our family (two kids, 6 & 9). The kitchen was well-stocked, and grocery delivery made it easy to eat at home a few nights when we didn't feel like driving on the adventurous roads after a day on the beach. Furniture/beds were comfy, too. The only downside was that eventually we had to leave and return to work/school :)

Beautiful view with comfortable amenities

Views are stunning, private pool is a happy retreat at the end of a long day of exploring! Quiet and private neighborhood. Town is 15/20min drive with easy access to grocery store as it’s on your way (starfish or dolphin). The first drive out was an adventure but after that, old hat. Took a couple charters with Cruz Bay Watersports which you catch at the dock of the Westin which is also on the way out to Unicorn. Well appointed kitchen which allowed us to dine at home with our family some of the nights. Unicorn is truly a unicorn, thank you for sharing it with us!

Memories made...

We stayed at Unicorn with our 4 kids in March 2024. The views from the balcony were spectacular. We were mesmerized by the colors of the sunsets and the water. The bedrooms were nice but a little tight having 3 teens with us. We loved the outdoor shower, the dipping pool, the outdoor night lighting, grill, washer/dryer, well stocked kitchen, and ability to communicate with our host with ease. The location is great overlooking Fish Bay and just under 15 min from Cruz Bay. Overall the views from the open air kitchen and dining space made this home for us truly special and something our family will think back on with delight and hopes for a return amidst the forever memories we will always carry with us...

We are a young family who fell in love with St John after our first visit to the island. We stayed on St. Thomas the first time we went to USVI and took a ferry over to St John for the day. After experiencing the beauty of the island and the north shore beaches, we knew St John was where we wanted to spend as much time as possible together. We started coming to the island frequently and learned as much as we could about the real estate market. After over a year of searching for a house, we finally came across Unicorn By The Sea. The house is stunning. The flowers, landscaping, and amazing views made the house stand out from the hundreds of houses we looked at. The previous owners owned the house for 18 years and it was a successful rental. In April of 2021 we took over ownership and have been updating and upgrading the house ever since. We plan to spend 2-3 months out of the year on St John making memories with our family and updating the property with new furniture and nicer amenities. We look forward to hosting you and showing why Unicorn is such an amazing place.
