FREE PARK ACCESS TO BURNEY FALLS:
A complimentary California State Park pass is offered to our guests, which includes access to McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park. Entry into the park also allows access to Lake Britton. (No free pass to Lassen is offered at this time).

FREE FIREWOOD:
The Hat Creek Retreat offers free firewood for the duration of your stay. A permit is required for outdoor fires. Please call the number provided prior to burning to ensure approved burn days.

REMOTE WORKSTATION:
Free and reliable Starlink highspeed internet and WiFi. Up to 250 Mbps. A dedicated remote workstation is provided in the living room.

BATTERY BACKUP:
Power outages often occur in the upper mountain Burney basin area. The Hat Creek Retreat has solar and battery backup and solar panels to recharge in the event of a power outage.

PRISTINE WATER:
Our water is drawn onsite from our underground aquifer that has been tested to rank among the finest in the state.

BRING YOUR PETS:
Up to 2 pets allowed. 70 lbs or less. Pets are NOT allowed on furniture. $75 per pet, per visit.

RV / TRAILER SITE:
Please contact host to book the RV/Trailer site. An additional fee of $45 per night will be applied to booking. 40 foot maximum trailer/RV. Must reserve house to reserve RV site.

EV CHARGING STATION:
Level 2. Please contact host to use EV charging station. Unlimited charging $20 per vehicle, per day.

We had a wonderful stay. The home was well equipped and comfortable. The neighborhood was off the main road and quiet. The property was centrally located with short drives to Lassen and Burney falls. Although there were only two of use the place had ample room for a larger family. I highly recommend this property. Hope we can return someday.

The communication with Ron was quick and seamless. The decor of the cabin was fascinating which kept the family and I staring at all the cool stuff on the wall. The Nintendo also brought us back to our childhood!

Hat Creek Retreat

This cabin/house was one of the cleanest I have stayed at. The owner was super responsive with any questions. This are is very remote which we wanted but due to snowfall we weren’t able to do all hiking we wanted, so we did have to drive a bit to find things to do. Overall we really enjoyed the stay.

What a wonderful cabin! This place was better than our homes. I came with my daughter, my partner and his daughter, both girls are 11-year old kids, and we couldn't get enough of the cabin. So cozy, stylish and modern, it feels like a home I'd love to have. The temperature control works seamlessly. Great selection of games and DVDs. Perfect location between Burney Falls and Lassen entrance/Manzanita Lake. Communication was easy, please note the PIN is sent in the very first email, so I was a little slow on that, but Ron went above and beyond to help us. He's very kind and generous. We love the north and Shasta and hoping to come back one day.

Great home base for fishing weekend

We stayed at the house for a fly fishing weekend, and had a great time. The house was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. We had some great fishing within a short drive. Would definitely stay there again.
