Escape to this serene Lodge tucked away in the piney woods of East Texas. The beautiful 5 bedroom home sits on a private 22 acre lake. Only 165 miles from DFW, this is a perfect getaway for couples, families, friends, the business folks or any fishermen. Not a fisherman? Not to worry! Enjoy the peaceful surroundings with beautiful sunsets, bird watching, or simply relaxing.

The oversized kitchen opens into the family room with a floor to ceiling stone fireplace, natural light throughout, and exalted cathedral ceilings. The spacious master suite is only steps away with views from every side.

Property is secluded and relaxing, no noise but the birds singing. The host (Rebecca) was very responsive. We had an issue with the frig not cooling properly and had someone out the next morning who made the repair. The house is spacious and comfortable, I highly recommend this property if you want to unwind, disconnect, and relax.

BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY! We rented this home for our family trip. We had 8 adults and 2 teenagers and there was plenty of space for everyone to have their own bed and to have privacy. Plenty of hot water, even when multiple people took showers at the same time. There is an abundant spice rack, which was great for us as we tried to cook at home most of the weekend. The lake is absolutly crystal clear and has a very healthy perch, bluegill and bass population for catch and release. It is only 15 minutes to Walmart and ChikFilA, but secluded enough for you to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. I would highly recommend for any family gathering.

The place was amazing to stay at. Lots of room for a large party. Beautiful property. Lots of fish, the kids loved it! There is no railing on the dock, so watch small children. We had one fall in. Also, there are some old pieces of wood, so wear shoes. Someone in our party got a massive splinter in her toe.

For safety, we do recommend that all children 13 and under wear life jackets while on the dock, and that all guests wear shoes out there due to the natural wood. Thank you again for staying with us.

Our group of eight had a wonderful time! The covered porch is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a fantastic and relaxing view. It’s a quick drive to Jefferson, where we enjoyed walking around the town. We’d definitely stay here again. If you have a large family or group I highly recommend it. We did have some issues with the gas grill as it really needs to he replaced. Also, the batteries on the electric shades were out and we were unable to open the blinds in the master bedroom and one shade in the living room. These are not issues that would keep us from staying here again. Just things that need to be addressed.

Had a lovely time at Sanders Lodge. Plenty of space inside and out to spread out, the lake is much more beautiful in person than the pictures give it credit. I wish that we could’ve stayed longer.

The home was beautiful and had amazing views from the back windows. There was plenty of room to sit and visit and play games. The only issue we had was the cleaning person did not do a great job before we arrived. Trash full, dirty and wet towels in the bedrooms and dirty sheets. The bathroom lightbulbs were out, but it all worked out with doing a load in the washer and dryer and borrowing lightbulbs from another area. The owner reached out and apologized and we went on to have a great weekend!
