Nestled on 1/2 acre on the Westside of Galveston Island an oasis awaits you. The "Retreat" borders a nature preserve and bird paradise. From the back porch you can watch the sunrise with direct views of the Gulf of Mexico and Galveston Bay. Beach access is 300 yards, and so is Bay access with fishing pier and boat launch. The home has an expansive second floor with 2 BR and 2 baths that sleeps 6+, large living room and kitchen. First floor sleeps 4 with kitchenette, living room and 1 bath room.

Perfect Get Away

From start to finish was a great place to stay. Plenty of room nice peaceful location. And the down stairs living area was a great hit with our twenty 3 year olds. Would definitely stay again.

Family reunion

The Retreat is a well maintained property with large rooms, and a bonus area downstairs. We really enjoyed the location, close to the beach, but away from the busy seawall, and only about 15 minutes from town. Amenities were very nice and plentiful.

Retreat to the retreat!

Wonderful relaxing stay. Perfect for Memorial Day getaway with beach access a short walk or quick drive across street. Our favorite part was relaxing with a cup of coffee on the front porch deck in the mornings then watching sunset on back deck. Very clean and comfy!

Perfect retreat for a large family

"We had a wonderful time staying at the Retreat. It was perfect! My Mother-in- law and Sister-in-law both have trouble climbing stairs, so the downstairs suite was perfect. The place was super clean and we all enjoyed the beach vibe. Beds were comfortable and the patio views were great. Looking forward to another stay. Paul"

Retreat at our Family Reunion

We attended a family reunion at property in the same subdivision. The house was very convenient to the reunion property. The weather was rainy, much mud and standing water, and the convenience to the hose, covered deck, apt, was an advantage. The location is so close to beach, or bay access. Was a plus. Wonderful stay.

The Month-Long Stay

We stayed at the location for a month and had no issues all month! The home is functions well and had all the basic necessities! Our golden doodle felt comfortable as well! We enjoyed being a short walk to the beach!

Lovely stay

The property was lovely. Plenty of space for our multigenerational family of 6. The quietness of the bayside and convenience of getting to the beach was perfect. Markus was very helpful as well. We celebrated Thanksgiving there and the kitchen was well appointed and large enough to accommodate food prep and cooking.

Comfortable, clean, and perfect location

"the Retreat" was exactly what was promised. It was a comfortable, clean and well appointed get away for us to seek refuge from our hectic work days, and spend time walking on the beach with our fur baby Jax. The location was quiet, and a very short walking distance to the bay on one side, and the beach on the other. The bed and linens were surprisingly soft and very comfortable. The appliances were high end and like new. The very large smart TV in the living area was a nice surprise. Everything we needed was there. Markus was a perfect host and made sure we had what we needed for our stay. We will definitely be back.
