One of the main reasons we choose the gumbo yaya is that it has an ice machine. The beds are comfortable and it is spacious enough for a crew. But not having the ice machine working is a big deal to a crew of a couple boats to not have ice. We pay good money and a major reason we do is bc of the ice machine. We were told someone would come out and repair it and that did not happen. Have stayed here several times. This time was major disappointment.

His houseboat was so convenient I have a 30 foot boat I tied it up to the back porch and was able to go fishing from there

Weekend at the Gumbo YaYa

Fantastic property about as close as you can get to the main marina dock. Very clean, had everything we needed, Beds were very comfortable. 10/10 would book again. For the size houseboat rooms were good sized with a large main living area. Very comfortable for 4 adults with room for all of our gear, Could easily fit 8 adults with gear

Charter and dinner just steps away!

This is one of the few 4 bedroom accommodations located at Venice Marina. The location could not have been more perfect, and each person in my group of 4 each had their own room. The place was well stocked with all kitchen supplies, comfortable living room and nice size table. I will book here for future fishing trips!

Very clean & spacious!

Stayed at Gumbo YaYa Dec 2024 with total of 9 adults and one 10 year old. The houseboat was very clean & had a spacious living area. The pictures on VRBO don’t do it justice. There are 4 bedrooms with a total of 10 beds (mostly single size bunk beds). Great for a group of fishermen!Excellent location inside Venice marina.

Spacious and clean

Rented the houseboat for the weekend. Was clean and roomy on the inside. The water pressure in the front shower and the hose on the back deck were low. Other than that it was a great place to stay with a large group. Would stay here again if we are back in the area.

Felt at home at the Venice Marina

Great place to stay -- houseboat feels bigger than it appears in the photos and our large group was very comfortable with the 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, and roomy living room. Everything was clean. No frills but has everything you need (except maybe wifi). Maps on the wall were cool and useful. Proximity to the marina can't be beat. Had a great time fishing and grilling up some fish together. Thank you so much and hope to be back.

Fishing trip

It was perfect for our group for this trip. We had plenty of room and the beds exceeded expectations in comfort even for single bunk beds. Good mattresses were great. Ice maker for fish boxes is essential and excellent. Grilled some pork chops and grill worked great. Overall 10 of 10. Thank you. Will be looking into you again in the future. Chris

Boat house

On the water was great. We did have a musky smell. I think up front there is a water leak so might have some mold. Ice machine was not working but property manager got a person out there and fixed next day. Beds where comfortable and kitchen good. Shower in front bathroom had really low pressure.
