bright designer apartment with large balcony, next to Mauerpark & Berlin Wall

while claiming to be "respectful and clean", Christopher was rude, insolent and disrspectful from the beginning. He didn't read my welcome message properly, complained before he had even arrived at the apartment and was obviously quite obsessed with finding things to complain about once he did. He sent me a multitude of questions about things that were clearly described for him simply because he didn't read messages or open his eyes, and I answered each of his in often quite presumptuous questions carefully and politely. I offered him fresh sheets when expressed his dislike of the ones that were prepared for him. I'm honestly not sure what "concern for insects" Christopher had in mind: we don't have killer bees in Berlin, we rarely ever get a mosquito in the summer. But if you grew up in the tropics and are expecting similar protection measures in this moderate climate city; if you're looking for an apartment where the the views over the roofs are obstructed by mosquito mesh on the windows, then this apartment is clearly not for you: we prefer the views and the airy vibe of the apartment to being "safe" from the odd fly that might enter on a summer day. And yes, we have a brand new laundry dryer (note that previously the apartment description read "drying rack"), and we do use it for drying our laundry.

We ask every guest whether they are in Berlin for professional reasons, or for an overnight stay. If you are here for professional reasons, you will be asked to sign a form which states exactly that. In this case, the city of Berlin will not charge the 5% tax for tourist overnight stays, which otherwise applies.
