Lansing Iowa is a Mississippi river town of 1200 people and is located about 3.5 hours Southeast of Minneapolis and 30 miles South of LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

Our downtown is within walking distance to the Mississippi River and in fact it’s “ Where Main Street meets the Mississippi River “. Back in the days of the Steamboats, that’s where you would have embarked and disembarked the steamboats. Lansing still has a great amount of history on our Main Street, with many original buildings and storefronts that bring the charm of our riverfront town.

It’s as though Lansing is the ”town that time forgot” and what makes it popular today- the great fishing, great scenery, outdoor activities and best of all, the friendly people who live here.

River’s Bend is nestled on the river’s edge below limestone bluffs with grand and majestic views of the river’s sharpest bend and framed by the historic Blackhawk bridge. Relax and watch the lazy river from the porch or take a short stroll to the quaint shops.

The stunning River’s Bend Mississippi riverfront mansion was built 1868 in the Italianate architectural design, complete with it’s original carriage house.
