Most rentals are just places to sleep, not this place. We enjoyed the sunrises here and in the afternoon/ evenings having dinner and relaxing by the fire. Beautiful view. The rental has everything you need to cook. I also enjoyed the many books and pamphlets about the local history and wildlife.Thank you for making our stay wonderful.

The cabin was on a mountain not a lake. Very nice cabin with kitchenette. Beautiful views. Mountain road is challenging.

We never advertised that we’re on a lake so I’m confused by your comment about no lake nearby. That is absolutely true. Everything in our description, listing, etc. indicates that our rental is located at the top of a mountain in the Blue Ridge Mountains. So I don’t know where you got that information which may have led to less than a five star review. I’m very disappointed you didn’t give our Rental five stars because you wrote such wrote lovely things in the guest book in our rental.

Property was very picturesque with fantastic views and the Appalachian Trail is within walking distance. Very restful and rejuvenating atmosphere…plenty of peace and quiet and local wildlife. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful. This place was everything I expected and more. Would definitely return to visit again!

Tess and Steve are so friendly and helpful, even calling our attention to hawks that were kettling outside our guesthouse on their migration to the south! Me and my girlfriend decided to book a getaway trip in the mountains for Valentine’s Day and we quite literally found the perfect spot. The views all weekend were amazing from the time we got there till the time we left. We got to catch the sunrise and the sunset, and at night we got to see all the stars. The hosts were nothing short of amazing; some of the nicest people! They communicated with us and made the whole trip so smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend staying here, because it is a place that you will make memories for a life time and get to relax in the piece and quiet without anyone bothering you and not having to worry about a thing. We will definitely be back and can’t wait to stay again!

The house was extremely clean. Fully stocked. An amazing experience.The views from the deck were amazing.The drive to the top of the mountain was surely worth the view of the Shenandoah Valley.

Beautiful views nice place.

The views from the porch is amazing. Some of our hikes to summits had a less beautiful view. Nice place with cute decor and everything you need to cook and hang out. The mountain road up is worth the ride.We really loved our trip and stay.

Beautiful views!

Thanks for the great stay! Was in town for wedding events nearby. The road to travel to and from the place was grueling at times but the place was cozy and the views made the experience worth it.
