The area, properties around the house are a bit dilapidated. It needs to be clear that train tacks are 20 feet from the house and trains actively run on it day and night. The train literally shakes the house.

Lovely home full of sweet decor and comfy beds! We loved the charm of the home and the grassy area out front was great for my kids to throw the football. Would definitely recommend!

The floor was really dirty. Anyone who walk around barefoot for a few minutes had black dirty feet. It needed to be mopped. The place was ok but overpriced for what it was.

Awesome

In town for my son's wedding and wanted to stay in a more rural area. This home is far enough out of the city for me but close enough to be convenient to town. It was a very relaxing place even with the trains.The host was perfect and very responsive with any questions you may have. I really did enjoy this place.

Rainy weekend

The weather was a struggle, but that was not the fault of the property. Perfect location for our group. Train is close but manageable. Property manager was very responsive and worked with us on any issues.

Scarborough Faire Wedding

The Texas Country experience was our pursuit, and Kim's place fit perfecrtly, with the area weekend assembly for our daughter's wedding. The house was roomy and comfortable, with all the amenities, and was decorated with country charm. It was quiet and nicely located for our Waxahatchee activity and the DFW and Love Field airport runs. The trains were neat too.

Lovely getaway!

We loved our stay. They countryside is beautiful, the property is very well kept and clean. The decor is beautiful and the porch was fantastic. Host was very quick to answer me if I sent any message, and was simply a pleasure to communicate with. The occasional trains were a novelty for my daughter- excited to count cars, and we didn’t even use the earplugs left for us at night- but they are such thoughtful hosts to provide them for those that might want them! Will definitely stay again on a future visit to waxahachie!

Christmas stay

This is a cute, older home right next to the railroad track and a crossing. Train comes through regularly. It’s noisy and the house shakes. We had 8 adults (4 couples) and were expecting 4 bedrooms for each couple to have privacy and a space of their own to sleep. The 4th bedroom only has an oversized chair that folds down for a child to sleep on (not two adults). The plumbing is old and if it rains heavily the master bath toilet doesn’t flush! Ugh! Would be okay place to stay if you only have six adults or less and it doesn’t rain!

Repeat Stay

This was our second time to stay with the same group. The house is great and well put together. If you have kids that enjoy trains this is the place to go. The train engineer runs like clock work and the owner leaves each room with ear plugs just in case you need them but it really didn’t bother us. Will definitely e coming back for future events.

Worked well for what we needed

The property was very cute and actually being by the railroad tract was fun and different and the kids enjoyed it. I was worried about the noise from them but it didnt impact us. There was a plumbing issue (just the quirks of being on septic) but Kim was super responsive. We had a weddng near by and the location worked well for that. The immediate area doesnt offer much but a short drive into town and there's everything. Its definitely quiet except for the passing trains.

Loved our stay had two hiccups. One is the master toilet if it rains and did not see the note till after it had been used so a better placed note about that. The other was addressed appropriately would stay again. The nephews loved the trains.
