Enjoy a relaxing time at a classic 3 story, 137 year old home on 2 acres in beautiful Gladwyne, PA. This house has something for everyone, from themed bedrooms, 2 offices, swimming pool, basketball, poker table, bbq pits, badminton, gourmet kitchen, and during the week a maid comes in the morning to take care of light housekeeping.
The main floor has a sunroom, huge formal living room, large formal dining room, formal study with hidden door that leads into the gourmet kitchen and TV room. The second floor has a master bedroom with a separate TV room and Private outdoor balcony patio. There are three other bedrooms with two bathrooms on the second floor. The third floor has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a second office and a sitting area in the foyer.
Outside there is a small basketball and Badminton area, frog pond, swimming pool, fire pit, 2bbq pits, and the expansive back patio has plenty of seating for everyone.

Wonderful house - we celebrated Thanksgiving with lots of out of town family and it was great. The kitchen is large and has terrific equipment, completely updated and modern. Allowed us to have lots of family cooking at the same time while others could hang out at the table or sit in the TV room right next to kitchen.

We had a great stay. The only recommendation I have is to turn off the alarm notifications. The alarm kept beeping and early in the mornings.

Amazing stunning Mansion with the warmest host !!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was absolutely amazing—spacious enough to comfortably accommodate our large group. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked, and everything was clean and neat. Melanie was a very responsive host, always available to assist when needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while preparing for our best friend’s engagement. There was plenty of space to park our cars, and after long days, we loved relaxing in the heated pool and spa. The surround sound music system added to the perfect atmosphere. There are so many fantastic features and great photo spots all around the property. I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is. Thank you, Melanie, for making our stay so memorable! The garden and house were both so special to us, and we made countless beautiful memories over the weekend. Thank you, Melanie, for hosting us, and we can’t wait to return someday!

Wedding Weekend

This home is stunning! We travelled to PA for our son's wedding in nearby Newtown Square. We booked this house so that our extended family could join us. After seeing the online photos, we arranged for the our son and the groomsmen to be photographed there and I'm so glad we did - the pictures are beautiful. Book this property - you will not be disappointed!

Lodging for a Micro-Wedding in Philly

We were a group of family and friends of a bride and groom, who were also part of us. We arrived from four different directions and spent the first day just having a good time catching up, hanging out, and using the facilities of the property, such as the heated pool and spa. The next day, we went to the wedding chapel in Philly, VAUX Studio, to prepare for and perform the marriage ceremony. Afterward, we went down the street for a marvelous dinner at Steak 48. At the end of the day, we returned to the property for a wonderfully relaxing late evening. The next morning, we took our time waking up and leisurely getting packed to go. This was 1000% better than booking a block of eight rooms in 5-star hotel for two nights!

Great, spacious home with lots of character

Beautiful historic mansion with lots of space for large groups. We stayed for a family get-together with 6 couples and several children under 10. The kids loved the pool and badminton/basketball court. Not a whole lot to do in the direct surrounding area but we loved the house so much we didn't really leave. Thanks Melanie!

Our extended family had a wonderful stay at this historic, beautiful home. Themed bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen, tons of space, plenty of entertainment options, lovely outdoor space and a responsive host. A stay that we’ll remember forever. Five stars!

1500 characters is not enough for my review, GREAT PLACE!!

The house with its history & elegance was wonderful.Melanie was very easy to work with.She had people come out & fix a few things immediately.Patio & grounds are gorgeous. Loungers & places to eat around large tables.Sitting outside was wonderful w/ awnings providing shade.The pool was clean & inviting w/ floats & towels.There was also deck outside the master, which was our secret get-away.There are 2 bedrooms not pictured.1 had its own bathroom, downstairs, isolated from the rest of the house, quiet & the bathroom was one of the nicest. The single bed shared a bathroom on the 2nd flr.There are 3 bedrooms on the third floor that share 1 hall bath.The Moroccan, Gone w/ Wind, & Surf rooms share 1 hall bath. The Jungle & Movie room have private baths, the Western has a door within the room and 1 that also connects out to the hall.We did not get to use most of the fun amenities in the game room. Poker table, card table, a slot machine!There’s a large TV room on the other end of the house.The house is great for entertaining!The kitchen is large with lots of counter space.There are plenty of chairs in the formal dining room for a large crowd.We really didn’t need anything.The main floor bath was through the office, a little hard to find.The house was a quiet street with rooms being very quiet.The front porch light switch is in the closet!We thought the house was fantastic.Our time spent there went so fast, but we look back with fond memories.

Wow! What an amazing experience!

Wow! What an amazing and unique experience my extended family of 15 had staying at this elegant yet comfortable home. This property is absolutely beautiful with so many thoughtful details I do not know where to begin. The kitchen was well equipped, everything in the historic home was very well maintained. This was the perfect opportunity for our large extended family to gather for an unforgettable weekend before the start of college. There was plenty of space to spread out as well as large spaces when the family wanted to gather together We spend so much time creating lasting memories on the patio and relaxing by the beautiful pool. Melanie was an absolute pleasure to work with. It is obvious that it was important to her that her guests have an amazing experience. She was very communicative and responded so quickly to every question. I would absolutely rent this property again!

This property has it all! Every member of our family enjoyed time with each other here, whether it was playing in the pool, a badminton game, cards on the patio or cooking our meals together. For context, we utilized all the bedrooms and stayed for 4 days, 3 nights. Melanie was a very accommodating, gracious host. I highly recommend this beautiful, historic home.

A special birthday celebration

We gathered family here to celebrate my father's 75th birthday. There were 15 of us. The house was absolutely perfect for the event. Everyone, including me, loved the unique decor in every room. The outdoor space and pool were a wonderful gathering place (we were lucky to have good weather). Every time we realized we needed something (extra table, kitchen accessories, etc) we found it. The hosts have thought of everything and were highly responsive. Highly recommended for family reunions.

Wonderful and Spacious

This property was wonderful and as expected in pictures. My only con is cleanliness, we could tell there were animals around the living spaces making guests have allergic reactions. Aside from this it was everything as expected and more.
