Property just as described! My family and I had so much fun staying here. The lake is literally 5 minutes away from the cabin, we would spend hours fishing and after a long day we would go back to the cabin and relax in the hot tub. Cabin is spacious and is well-equipped!

Cozy and Great Location!

My family and I needed a place to stay for my brother's wedding. The property was exactly as advertised. It was such a cozy home near the beautiful lake and mountain views. The kitchen was the most well-stocked I've seen thus far. Though we didn't use all of the amenities, there were so many cool things offered. Marina was extremely quick to reply to any questions I had. I 100% recommend the property!

Great Girls Birthday Trip Stay

Our party of 6 ranged in age from early 30s to 91, all mom/daughter and sisters combos (plus one small doggo) ...and we all greatly enjoyed our stay! We had everything we needed and the hosts were super responsive to any questions or needs. We highly recommend staying here!

Cool Lake Getaway

This beautiful property was a great home base for our adventures! We went into Durango a few times and enjoyed the small community in Lake Vallecito. Hot tub was nice and the property was close to hiking and the lake. Highly recommend!

Excellent vacation rental!

Very pleased with this property! Property manager kept contact the entire time and was very friendly! Property was easily accessible, large, up to date and very clean. The hot tub was great! We will definitely be back!

Perfect option for our extended family!

this home was squeaky clean, well-stocked, and very comfortable for our two night stay. i only wish we had the time to take advantage of the fire pit, covered patio, lovely porch, or the great selection of games and videos, but we were only in the area for a family gathering nearby. We will certainly consider booking again next time we come!

Cozy cabin in the woods

The house is absolutely beautiful! Great location, clean house, accommodating owner, all the amenities, and perfect for anyone! Make sure to pack your s’mores and whatever else you need because you won’t want to leave! Out of all the VRBO rentals I have stayed in this one is hands down my absolute favorite.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Quiet, comfortable, and very homey. The communication with the owner was nice with quick responses to any questions. Our dog was greated with a dog welcome basket. There were fresh flowers on the table and the house was clean and smelled amazing. Our time spent there was very relaxing.

Cozy, Charming and Very Close to the Lake

We really enjoyed our time at Vallecito. The property was just as described. The kitchen was probably the most well-appointed we've seen in a vacation rental! Linens were of excellent quality. The appliances all work great and check-in/out was as seamless and easy as you could hope for.Best of all, the owners are very sweet and super-responsive. They live very nearby and were quick to provide help, answer questions, give suggestions...genuinely committed to making sure we enjoyed our stay. Highly Recommend!

Marina maintained very good communication. She was very detailed with everything related to our stay. It made it easy to know the expectations of the rental and how to maintain it. Great Out-of-the-way House

We had all we needed to take a relaxing vacation away from it all! The seven of us were a tight fit, but our host had plenty of linens and towels, a spa tub and a hardworking ice machine to keep us happy. She even brought over a fan for the very hot days! The Belgian waffle-maker was a bonus too! We visited Vallecito Lake, Pagosa Springs, Mesa Verde, Durango, Silverton and some hiking trails in between. Our dog enjoyed his welcome basket and the fenced yard. The only bummer was that the lake was a bit low.

Don't hesitate to book, if you're considering this VRBO!

My family and I (including our dogs!) had the pleasure of staying here over Thanksgiving weekend and I can't say enough about how thoughtful our host was! Firstly, the property itself is beautiful and inviting. All of our beds were comfortable, clean, and we had plenty of towels for the 5 of us. I brought several dishes ready to pop into the oven, but was pleasantly surprised to see how well stocked the kitchen was with pots, pans, etc. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner here and very much enjoyed the cozy wood burning stove and spacious hot tub! What really sets this property above, though, is all of the thoughtful, little touches. As a few examples: the wood burning stove was ready with wood when we arrived and just needed to be lit! The coffee maker already had a filter in the pot, there was a doggie welcome basket when we walked in, on and on... I truly don't have enough space to complement Marina enough here! THANK YOU!

Great Dog-Friendly Home

Only had a few days open to squeeze in a four day, three night trip before the Fall school schedule set in. We foudn this home really perfect for two adults, two teens and two dogs. We loved the home and had enough space to be a bit isolated and also have family time. The layout of the house is really great for both purposes. Each teen had a bedroom but the common space for Kitchen, Dining and Living Room were wide open. Dogs really loved the two fully fenced yards and had a great time exploring all the Colorado smells! The home was very clean and organized and the kitchen was well equipped. We forgot to bring coffee but luckily there was some left over in a cabinet which we later replenished. Wonderful trails nearby and the neighborhood was very walkable with less traveled gravel roads and nice neighbors to wave to as we burned off extra dog energy in the mornings. The hot tub was obviously well cared for and we used it almost daily to supplement the hikes we did. The gas grill was full size and got some use as well. We didn't do any lake activities during our stay but had a wonderful trip. Our one year old Rottweiler is now a Colorado Mountain Girl and did not want to leave! The kids (and parents) left feeling very refreshed from a full summer of activities.

Welcoming and relaxing home

The host made an extra effort to ensure their guests were accommodated and comfortable. My family and I (ages 3 to 60) including two dogs enjoyed a three-day stay at this home so we could fish, hike, boat, and enjoy the outdoors. We chose this location to visit Durango and Mesa Verde National Park. We planned ahead for the ~40 minute drive to Durango for the nearest town with choices of restaurants and a major grocery store. The location of this property is near the entrance to a residential tract with roads on three sides, so did have light but noticeable vehicle traffic. The home was clean, and although we had and brought dogs of our own, a couple of our family members have allergies to other dogs that had been in the home, so a "deeper" cleaning (i.e. vacuuming sofa, thorough cleaning around baseboards) could have prevented some of our symptoms. Overall, I would recommend to others and would stay again at the same place. Looking forward to my next visit to enjoy the property with the stocked kitchen, hot tub, and wonderful neighborhood.

Christmas in May

We decided to gift our parents with a weekend away (with us of course :) ) for Christmas last year in hopes to create memories instead of giving them a gift they always don’t need. We are so excited we choose this place for our weekend away. The house was adorable and reminded me of a cottage. It was perfect for our family’s needs and the hosts were amazing- quick to reply and we’re great on giving recommendations to whatever we asked them for. The house is super close to the beautiful lake which we enjoyed a day at. The house was super clean and was fully stocked. I would stay at this house ever and ever again.

Vallecito Getaway- Great Place to Stay

We loved staying at this house. Pros: It was very clean and quite(even though it's not far off the main road). The owners were quick to respond to questions/concerns. We were very pleasantly surprised with the addition of the hot tub. There are hiking trails and lakes all around to explore. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook a Thanksgiving meal and more.. Cons: The beds were a lot firmer than we're use to but not a problem if you like a firm bed!

The Space:

Wonderfully maintained home that is warm and inviting. Lots of windows and open space. Covered wrap around porch. Washer and dryer in the home for your convenience.

Well appointed kitchen for your cooking needs, together with an electric kettle and french press for the gourmet coffee fans. We are within just a few short miles of some amazing hiking and backpacking trails. The Weminuche wilderness surrounds the Vallecito Lake area so enjoy this amazing place!

Durango is only 27 miles; Mesa Verde National Park is 83 miles; the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is just 31 miles; Tremble Natural Hot Springs is 40 miles; and Pagosa Hot Springs are only 62 miles. THIS IS AN AMAZING PART OF COLORADO!

We have created a space that is the perfect place to relax and unwind after exploring the amazing surrounding wilderness. Enjoy a soak in the hot tub under the stars, or around a cozy fire after your day of adventure, or even if you never left the house!

We have flat screen televisions in all three bedrooms as well as in the main living area. All televisions have Roku or Amazon Fire TV Stick so you all you have to do is log into your favorite movie/TV streaming provider.
