Welcoming and light ground floor studio short walk to dwnt Silver Spring & metro

Separate and private spacious walkout basement studio unit with separated sleeping area, kitchenette, inviting hangout/tv viewing area, natural light, and ventilation. The separate entrance has a coded entry. Off-street parking is available in the driveway. I live upstairs; there is a locked door between the units. I am available for neighborhood information or any challenges. Easy walk to public trans (0.7 mile to metro) and a robust array of markets, dining & shopping options. Two sump pumps run when raining - the upside is it can sound like sleeping near a brook. The ceiling is a reasonable height but be mindful if over 6'.
Note: It's not great if one has mobility issues.
There is a great feel to the place—exposed brick and joists with modern amenities. There is Wi-Fi, a smart TV, a kitchennette with an induction cook top, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, fridge, and dishes.

Unit DOES NOT include a washer/dryer. There is a clean and efficient laundromat and block away.

Great walking neighborhood and downtown Silver Spring begins around the corner. Off-street parking is available.

This was a well organized and very clean yet cozy space. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the heated towel rack! The street is absolutely beautiful and we walked to brunch. We really enjoyed our stay:)

Great place to visit old friends

Great and convenient place to stay. We came to visit old high school friends from our days living in Fredericksburg. Easy to get around (despite the timing of an event in dc) and great accommodations.

As Good As It Gets!

Ruti's place is a perfect little hideaway for a DC visit! Very clean, comfortable, and homey, and she was really pleasant and responsive. I hope to get a chance to stay there again!

Great for extended stay

It was a great stay. The place was just as listed and I felt comfortable getting to red line and bus route. Bed was cozy. And kitchen worked well for my needs. Good access to Safeway and Whole Foods. I would stay again

Highly recommend this gem in Silver Spring. Ruti was communicative before and during our stay. Well-appointed and stocked with everything you'll need...another big thumbs up for the heated towel rack!

Awesome place to stay

We loved staying at this place. It was an easy and safe walk to Silver Springs. We were able To get on the metro there, about a 20 minute ride to DC and everything was walkable. About 10 minutes from the house has a strip with restaurants and grocery stores and a CVS. The house is perfect for the 3 of us, plenty of room and comfy beds. We would stay here again.

Wonderful basement apartment that met our needs. On site parking, quiet neighborhood, wonderful host, easy and safe walk to the Metro. For an inexpensive, clean, out of the big city rat race style apartment, go here.

Very Clean, Unique Spot

Ruti did a great job in providing a basement space which was very clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. There are many restaurants and shopping opportunities really close by. Parking available right next to where you are staying was very nice and not that common in the area. Not too far from D.C if you are wanting to sight see.

Great stay!

Nice quiet place in a hidden gem part of town. They have automatic lights to guide your path upon entry in the evening. Very nice new bathroom with heated towel rack. Lots of fans to control airflow and a big TV for entertainment to boot. Lots to love about this place.
