110 year old Ranch house on privately owned cattle and hay ranch. Close to Buffalo Pass and Zirkel wilderness, great for snow mobilers who want close access to Buffalo Pass to ride. Also great for hunters, fisherman and hikers.

Dustin was so good and easy to deal with. Very clean! Beautiful scenery all around and convenient to Buff pass.

Quiet Retreat

Charming older house away from it all. Excellent views with sneak peaks of a working ranch. We were repeat guests at this house and plan to visit again!

Fun in CO winter!

We had a great time staying here with plenty of space, and what we needed for a nice time. Our kids want to come back in the summer.

Spectacular stay

I had the privilege to stay at Dustin’s property mid-March ‘22. My family and I were caught in a bind when we found out that our previous rental was not available. This happened to be during Spring Break and on our drive up to Steamboat. We were lucky to find availability at Dustin’s and it turned out to be a blessing that events unfolded as they did. His family’s property is beautiful and turned out to be exactly what we needed. A secluded place away from all the hubbub. The house itself is modern and clean. We spent a majority of our time in the kitchen and living room area playing games and eating after long days of skiing. There was no better way I could imagine spending quality time with my family. The drive to Steamboat was actually easy with all the natural beauty along the way. We will definitely want to stay there again if we’re in the area. One last item is I want to give a special shout out to Dustin and his wonderful family. They are by far the most considerate, down to earth, hard working hosts you could ever imagine. Really quality people. I really cannot say enough positive things about how hospitable they were. These are the kind of people I would gladly give my business to in the future. Thank you Dustin to you and your family for everything. Y’all helped make it a memorable trip. For that I’m grateful. Hope to see y’all in the near future. Take care.

Snowy spring break destination

We didn't know what to expect at this place, but it was great. It's a working family-run cattle ranch. Dustin and his family were so welcoming and spent lots of time explaining the workings of the ranch. About 30 calves were born during our week-long stay. My children learned a lot and were near tears when it was time to go. They want to cancel their summer plans and just come back here.

Beautiful

This was an amazing experience. The house is located on a working ranch in the park between Walden and Steamboat Springs area. The reindeer were pretty cool to see, but about 1/4 of a mile away from the house we saw a moose laying in the creek bed. The snow was amazing. Great trip and experience.

great place

very nice place to stay. had a great stay the only thing that would of been nice is some drive way markers due to the drive way being covered in snow it was hard to tell where the driveway was.

Felt At Home

The house was in a perfect location for snowmobiling Buffalo Pass. Had everything we needed during our stay. The house was very nice inside and a great value.

Great Place!

House was very spacious and very well equipped. Very comfortable and the proximity to Buff Pass was extremely close!! Communication with the owner was fantastic, will definitely be staying here again on our next snowmobile trip!! Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Great stay at an operating ranch in northern Colorado

We had great time during our recent stay with Dustin at his guest house in Coalmont, CO. Dustin was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure our trip was safe and enjoyable. We arrived after dark and he drove out to the County Road to make sure we didn't miss our turn. When significant snow hit during our stay (December 2021) Dustin made sure the roadway to the house was clear and safe for us to have access to the property. This home is on an operating cattle ranch and Dustin took us out to feed the cattle and reindeer on the property each morning as our schedule allowed. When a blizzard hit on the day of our departure that resulted in very low visibility for driving, Dustin escorted us all the way out to the State Road (~10 miles) to make sure we made it safely to clear roads. Even with the inclement weather, this was a memorable trip and one that our family with two young boys will never forget. If you are looking for a luxurious resort vacation, this is not the property for you, but I would strongly recommend this property to anyone looking for some back to the basics rest and relaxation.
