This beachy and bright teal home is on the east end of the island, centrally located between the beach, Pleasure Pier, and the Strand. Moody Mansion and the Galveston Children’s Museum are also about a half mile away. With twelve bedrooms available, bring the whole family on vacation to see the attractions of Galveston that are within walking distance or a short drive away. Huge backyard with a gazebo, private pool, and hot tub. Centrally located and near the historic district. Schlitterbahn and Moody Gardens are each about 5-6 miles. The house is approx. 3,366 sq ft., with many rooms of various sizes and good-sized common areas, including 3 living spaces, a dining area that can seat 18, and a large yard. Host was super responsive and accommodating. Place was as advertised. Parking easy. Location easy walk to beach (didn't have to fight parking). Super close to pleasure pier and Murdoch's, and public pickleball. Great pool and hot tub. Loved it! Highly recommend! We were a family reunion with teenagers.

We loved everything about our stay! Our group of 20 were able to enjoy our annual weekend and not be on top of each other! The owner was in touch all weekend and very accommodating. We are already planning our next trip! So happy we found this home!

Needs Some TLC

The first thing we noticed was the state of the pool. It was very murky, green, and dirty. We were unable to use it for 24 hours because the pool guy came the morning after we checked in. It is supposedly cleaned twice per week but definitely hadn’t been properly maintained before our arrival. The home in general needs some deep cleaning and TLC. We had water that wouldn’t drain out of the dishwasher on the first night of our stay, so we hand washed dishes the remainder (not a big deal for us). I found a used towel (not ours) under the bathroom sink along with littles friends (although they were dead). It’s clear the cleaning crew isn’t very thorough. The toilet paper holder was not secured on the wall, so it fell off immediately. The location was nice (five minutes to the Strand) and the playground in the backyard was enjoyed by the kids!

Wonderful place for a large group!

This was the perfect place for our large group of moms and daughters. We were in Galveston for a dance competition. The girls enjoyed the pool and hot tub, it was close to everywhere we wanted to go. We all slept comfortably in the many rooms available. Our host was very accommodating and easy to contact.

Amazing

I have to honestly say this was perfect. The house was big enough. It was clean. Everything that we needed was there plenty of towels. However, I did not like if you do not clean the towels. You had a 5 charge but turning on the jacuzzi was amazing. Everything was wonderful.

Wonderful experience. Although i would suggest a railing in the step in shower and atleast one of the toilets with a railing. Would really help older visitors. The kitchen fully stocked with appliances so no need to haul extras. Was well worth the cost. And hosts very gracious.

Great location with plenty to do

The house is in a great location. Having so many bedrooms made it nice for all the guests. Kitchen was perfect in size to accommodate any meals we wanted to prepare. Would definitely recommend!

We love this house!

We may have found our new home for Mardi Gras Galveston. The house is huge! It was clean and well kept and the heated pool was so awesome for our stay. The owner is amazing and she worked with use immediately if we had any issue.

Great house for an extended family stay

Outstanding experience overall and great place for kids. Had the whole extended family with kids 2-17. The house was great, playroom (w toys) and infant stuff (high chair, stroller and crib) was very helpful. Children's museum and a park are walking distance, great central location. Pool, hottub and the playscape in backyard were great for kids.

Perfect Family Vacation Home!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this vacation rental! The house was perfect for our family vacation, accommodating our large group of 18 with ease. The spacious layout allowed everyone to have their own space, while the common areas were perfect for gathering together. The kids loved the pool and spent hours splashing around, while the adults enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. The outdoor area was fantastic, with plenty of seating and a great grill for family barbecues. Inside, the house was clean and well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to prepare meals for our large group. The location was ideal, with easy access to all of Galveston’s attractions. We loved being so close to the beach and the Strand, and the nearby Bryan Museum was a hit with everyone. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, and the host was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, this house truly felt like a home away from home. We made so many wonderful memories here and can’t wait to return for our next family vacation. Highly recommend!

Birthday Celebration Stay

We had an amazing stay at this house! The location is unbeatable, with easy access to all of Galveston’s attractions. The house itself is spacious and perfect for our large family gathering. We had 20 people in our group, and everyone had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The pool was a highlight for both kids and adults, and we spent most of our time there. The house was clean and well-maintained, and the new AC units kept us cool during the hot summer days. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, and the host was always quick to respond to any questions we had. We loved the charm of this older home, and it truly felt like a home away from home. We can’t wait to come back for our next family reunion!

Repeat Stay Perfect for Large Group and Family

We have stayed here before and have always been spoiled by the number of bedrooms that can more than accommodate our big group of all ages. It’s hard to find this kind of house anywhere else without paying a crazy high price. The pool is wonderful and so clean. We spent more time here than at the beach, which was a short walk away! New ac units had just been installed right before our stay too which was so great in the summer heat! Perfect area for getting to Galveston’s attractions. The Bryan Museum is right down the street and the Strand is a quick walk! Though we didn’t leave the property much, it was a great place to reconnect.

A Nice Big House!!!

We enjoyed our stay at this house. The location is convenient to EVERYTHING. The house is big and spacious. There were a total of 24 people in our party and everyone had room to spread out. The outside living space was just as nice. Everything was nice and clean. We felt like we were at home away from home. It is an older home but we felt as if it added to the charm. We did see a few homeless people but they didn't bother us at all. We felt safe 100% of the time. The check-in/out procedure was very simple. The instructions were simple to follow. Although I never spoke with the homeowner I felt like they were only an email away (😊). Would we rent this property again? In a heartbeat!

Kid friendly family reunion vacation home

The pool, hot tub, gazebo and swing set/slide area were perfect for entertaining kids and adults! Inside, we had plenty of room to spread out! The kids had so much fun playing hide and seek in this home with so many rooms. The little kids had fun in the sunny play room, well stocked with toys. The washer and dryer got a work out— although we were supplied with dozens of pool and bath towels! The older kids loved walking right around the corner to the smash burger and bagel place— outstanding fries and burgers. We used the outdoor grill one night. Inside, the house is older and well loved, which is great from our point of view because with lots of little kids the last thing you want on vacation is to be overly worried about white couches or fancy furnishings. The house is comfortable and kid friendly. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Juli was very quick responding to messages. We had a wonderful time

Lots of bedrooms/bathrooms for family get-together

This house adequately fills bedroom and bath needs for large groups, with a dorm-like feel. It would benefit from a stem to stern refresh, some maintenance, and a more thorough check list by the cleaning crew. This extends to the yard, playscape, and pool deck furniture as well. The pool and hot tub were nice. The immediate neighborhood is eclectic and not gentrified. Many in our party walked extensively in the area without too much concern.

Nice, but very dated.

The house is old and dated. Clean for the most part, but nadty carpet and musty smell throughout. One tv was in one small living area. I'd at another tv or 4. Trash can in kitchen was disgusting and should be replaced. Both front and back stairs are not handicap accessible with no rails. No rails inside house stairs. Hot tub not elderly friendly. Pool was refreshing but tall grass, ants and mosquitos made outdoors activities limited. Neighborhood is kinda uncomfortable. Alot of transients and trash on streets and sidewalks. Low income apartments a block over. It was alot of money for a vrbo in this area for this house. Sadly disappointed.

Lots of great space.

Our group of 16 adults stayed for 5 nights. There were so many amazing aspects to the home but a few areas that need to be noted. Concerns: low water pressure in the older part of the home. Typically not an issue till there were 20 year old girls in each of the showers. It also made it difficult to flush some of the toilets as it took pretty long for them to refill. Some of the furnishings need replaced. Cabinet handles came off easy, kitchen benches/chairs wobbly, some bathroom tiles were lose. Washer and dryer were great but a bit small for beach towels, clothes, bath towels etc. App for pool was a bit wonky at times. It did not always respond as hostess requested but overall worked for our needs. Positives: the size is amazing! So much space and super clean. The refrigerator held everything needed to cook all our meals which is very impressive. The contact with the hostess was the BEST we ever experienced. The majority of the beds were very comfortable. Lots of extra towels were available as well as every appliance and kitchen tool needed. Dishwasher worked great. The pool was wonderful and where we spent most of our time. The house is perfectly located next to everything. The off street parking was very convenient. The play area was pretty impressive, even though our group did not use it. Would definitely book again!
