Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay.

Walk or drive a short distance to access Torch Lake Sandbar. Less than a 3 min drive to 2 boat launches. Bring the boats, jet ski's and/or kayaks and relax with family/friends. The 1550 sq ft ranch includes 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a spacious living area and a kitchen equipped with essentials. Rewind on the patio while enjoying a bonfire. Plenty of parking and space!

1550 sq ft ranch located steps away from the Torch Lake Sandbar and 2 public boat launches, large yard with plenty of space for vehicles and boat trailers.

(April 2022 Update - Completion of 4th bedroom changed home to include a king, 2 queens and separate bunkroom equipped with 2 sets of bunkbeds, daybed with trundle and a futon/sofa. No garage as shown in photo)

Home is located steps away from the Torch lake sandbar which can be accessed by foot at the public access or less than a 3 min drive to 2 public boat launches where you can access Torch Lake, Torch River, Lake Skegemog, Elk Lake, Clam River and Lake Bellaire. Bring a boat or contact a local boat rental company to launch less than 3 mins from the house!

Rapid City is surrounded by beautiful and eventful towns including Alden (less than 5 miles) which offers wine tasting, swimming areas, local grocery store as well as unique shops and restaurants. Bellaire is nearby and offers Shorts Brewery, restaurants. 25 minutes to Traverse City, there you can enjoy beaches, restaurants, casinos, wine tours/vineyards, breweries and shopping. Within 15 minutes you'll have mountain biking trails, cherry orchards, golf courses, and access to Lake Michigan beaches and playground in nearby Elk Rapids. Boyne Mountain, Crystal Mountain, Nubs Nob and Schuss are perfect for skiing/snowboarding and not a far distance. ORV trail heads are a short distance away and lead to miles of off-roading.

LOCATION, CLEAN & COMFORTABLE.

House located close to the sand bar and marina. Easily access grocery stores, lake, casino, golf, and so much more. House was stocked with tons of towels, pillows, covers, grill, chairs and fire pit. Ashley was very inviting and quick to answer any concerns. Our annual family vacation of 8 adults, 2 pre-teens and infant was accommodating and comfortable. Great for those that seek comfort, location, clean well kept home.

Great spot near Torch Lake with plenty of room

This was a great spot for a girls’ weekend—plenty of room for all of us, very close to Torch and a quick drive to/from Traverse City. The house was near boat launches, and an easy drive to restaurants. Everything was nice and clean, and we had a wonderful time!

Family Trip

Very nice rental, clean house, lots of room. Beds where comfortable. Lots of room outside to play sports, and tables to play games and have bonfire at night. Close to a little beach area to hang out at sandbar. The owner is very responsive and helpful.

Ski getaway

First time booking VRBO trip and it turned out great. Booked house for shanty creek and Boyne skiing. The house was very clean and had everything we needed, beds were comfortable and the bunk room was a hit for our teenage girls. Our host Ashley was wondering!!!

Great for multi-generational group

Our multi-generational group had a great stay. The house was more spacious than the listing pictures appeared. It was very clean, other than the grill. We all thought the beds were comfortable and it was stocked well; loved not worrying about running out of clean towels. It was very close to Torch Lake and not far from other things to do. We would for sure consider staying again.

Great place

We loved the property and really enjoyed our stay. We only had a few small suggestions to improve your location. A lamp in the living room would be great so it’s not all or nothing. Better signage on the street would be very helpful and hooks located in the bathroom or on bedroom doors would provide space for jackets or wet towels to be hung.

Spacious and comfortable.

The house was very clean. Beds and pillows were all comfortable, and there are ceiling fans in every room. The 4th bedroom is enormous. It was just my 2 kids in there but our whole family of 7 would have been comfortable sleeping in that room. Having 2 bathrooms was great, the hot water worked well. The owner was very nice and good at communicating and made sure we had no issues getting check in. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Torch Lake Vacay 2023

5 day stay July 2023. 13 people. Plenty of room. Close to torch lake, plenty of docks to choose from for pontoons. Close to Elk lake rapids for peaceful beach experience, fishing, and quaint little shops to pick up your souvenirs. Plently of local markets for food, drinks, gas and ice. The back yard was perfect for us to set up cornhole, and to bb, and have a fire for smores in the evening with the fire pit supplied. We had a wonderful experience. The host was very quick to reply to any questions we had. We will definitely be back again!! Thanks Ashley!!

Girls Trip

I want to start this by saying that overall, we really did enjoy our stay. The house was very spacious. However, upon arrival the house did not seem very clean. The counters were grimey, the floors and the main shower were dirty. Listing makes it seem like it is actually “just a few steps” from the water when in reality it is not. We did have to buy a few kitchen items that surprisingly were not there. It was a decent location and not far from the activities we booked. Though there were a few things I would’ve changed, I would book again.

Excellent place .

We had friends and family in and out during our stay. Washer and dryer was very helpful. Down side the dishwasher doesn't work well at all so we gave up and hand washed dishes. Beautiful dark floor but shows every piece of dirt and dust. Needed a swifter with wet cloth even though we removed shoes at door. But a bonus was the deer walking across backyard will we were sitting drinking coffee. Our boxer zoey loved freedom and space of the place. We would love to be back.

Overrated accommodations

Torch Lake and surrounding areas are just lovely! We had outstanding weather. Local restaurants were good. Now about the house we rented… even tho it looks like a recent renovation has taken place the house is not well cared for. The large black sofa pictured is NOT the one in the home. The sectional sofa is something you would see on the side of the road for garbage pick up. Torn and tattered. The owner said “well, it’s the same amount of seating”. That became a running joke. She offered us other accommodations to her credit but the other house smelled mouldy and had no a/c. So we had no choice but to stay. The sink in the large bathroom had a very slow drain. The 2d shower was the size of an RV shower. The beds were comfy I must say. The rug in living room is filthy. The yard is all dirt and the house sits right off the road. The tv’s worked good. The washer and dryer are adequate but slow. It cost us almost 1800.00 for 4 nites stay- pricey for what this is. Keep looking. You can do better.

As communicated, we are aware that the leather of the couch had led to peeling in spots and a replacement is on its way. However, the existing couch was fully functional and far from “roadside material”. We provided immediate response/cleanup to the acorns in the yard that had fallen on the patio during your fall stay and offered alternative arrangements to better fit your needs. All house details are reflected in photos and we take high pride in providing the best experience to our guests (as reflected in reviews on all properties). What a great place to enjoy the last weekend of summer!

We enjoyed our long weekend at this house. The house had more than enough room and all the amenities we needed. We really enjoyed two days boating on Torch Lake. The owner and her house/boat manager were extremely accommodating and sincerely cared about making sure we enjoyed the weekend. We will definitely return.

Hidden gem!

Awesome accommodations! The sleep areas were amazing. Location is great! Only two comments: inside eating area is small due to space restrictions. Grill could be decreased, flared up big time for just burgers and dogs. Otherwise awesome, pontoon rental was amazing!
