Lakefront Home Away From Home

Two story home lakefront home/cottage on Pickerel Lake. There is a dock at the cottage. Very calm and peaceful location. Great for floating around on a raft or using the kayak and water toys. Rental boats from nearby marinas can be kept on property. The boat launch is only a couple hundred feet away for boat owners. A 5-6 person hot tub is onsite with views of the lake.

Enjoy sunrise views from the deck with a warm cup of coffee. Water skiing, fishing, boating, swimming. 15 minutes from winter skiing and 15 minutes from downtown Petoskey, Indian River or Harbor Springs.

Stay on Pickerel Lake

We had a good time even though it rained half of the time we were there. Family really enjoyed the hot tub. The house was nice with lots of space.

Beautiful view

Very nice cabin in a great location. Had some fairly large cobwebs in various spots around the house and we were killing spiders all weekend but no big deal. Had a great time!

Perfect little get away

This place has so much charm and character. I loved it! We really enjoyed the homie vibes it brought. I appreciated all the amenities the host had available to us to utilize for our stay. Our kids had the best time, and we all enjoyed the property.

Nice house on the lake!

The house was a lot bigger than I expected. Plenty of beds for everyone. Kitchen was well stocked! Owner answered all my questions very fast! Would definitely stay here again!

Great Stay!

We have a large family and this space was able to accommodate everyone with plenty of sleeping areas. A few things do need updating, like the grill and couches. However, the property manager is very responsive & helpful. We loved having the water close enough so our older kids could fish & swim without worry. For the price point & space - it was a great home.

Family Vacation

This property was everything we needed. We had 8 adults and 3 children under 2 with us. The house was plenty big enough for our needs and has a well stocked kitchen. The living area furniture is well loved and could use some updating. The host, Jeremy, was great! Answered our questions very quickly. I would stay here again.

Beautiful Property

We had a fantastic stay on Pickeral Lake. Property was beautiful, cottage was very clean and a well-stocked kitchen. About a 10-15 min drive into Petoskey. Beautiful view of the lake from the cottage. Fire circle had 7 great Adirondack chairs, deck has a large patio table with 6 chairs. Perfect for a girls week-end! Jeremy was a fantastic host!

Family vacation

We enjoyed the direct lake access during the day and the the fire pit, in the evenings. We went to the bay looking for Petoskey stones several times. The house was not very clean.it is an older home and there were many spiders and we had mice to deal with. We were successful and caught three of them.

Thank you for your review of the cottage. I am glad you were able to enjoy the beautiful setting. I hired a pest control company that came and serviced the cottage and will provide routine care a couple times a year. Unfortunately I was not informed of this during your stay. Following your stay I needed extra cleaning crew due to your group being larger than the permitted group size.

Relaxing Fishing Getaway

We loved everything about this property. The view is fantastic. Do yourself a favor and get up for the sunrise, it’s spectacular! You’ll find the layout of the home perfect for entertaining while getting the lake view all evening. Beds are comfortable and there’s privacy between the upstairs bedrooms and downstairs bedrooms. The owner is easy to get ahold of and will be responsive to any needs. Lastly, the fishing is outstanding! You have easy access to Crooked Lake and the trip through the channel is breathtaking. Love it all!

Wonderful cabin for a Petoskey getaway!

We rented this cabin on Pickerel Lake for a ladies getaway weekend. We were blown away by how spacious the house is, photos truly do not do it justice. There were 8 of us and everyone had plenty of space. The beds were comfortable and the kitchens and bathrooms were stocked with anything you could possibly need. There was a paddle board and kayak on site, a firepit stocked with firewood, plenty of outdoor seating. The lake is very clear and has a sandy bottom, we had fun wading and playing on the paddleboard. The hot tub is nice and clean. Tons of games on site and the downstairs bedroom had a huge selection of DVDs. The living room has a smart TV so we logged into our streaming services to have a movie night. We saw a lot of wildlife including baby bunnies hopping around the yard. The party store is a 10 second drive down the road and had fabulous pizza, wings, and breadsticks. Only 20 minutes drive into downtown Petoskey. We can't wait to return to this cabin. Thank you!

Heaven on Pickrell Lake

This house is the best location in the area. This was our second time staying at the house, and we will likely stay there again next year! We love the location on the lake and the privacy of the lot. It also has just the right amount of space for our group. I think the owner needs to reevaluate their cleaning people. The bathrooms were not clean at all (the downstairs shower was very, very moldy... Likely not getting cleaned at all), and the hot tub was very cloudy. The owner was very responsive about the hot tub and sent someone to fix it-- but that person was very grumpy... but it did get fixed! Also, there were groceries left in the fridge and a bunch of shopping bags in several kitchen cabinets. This place needs a big, serious, deep clean... But we also are very likely to stay there again due to location, size and privacy!

Great stay

We were happy with the home and our stay. It had all of the amenities listed and was fully equipped. Nice location as you could travel from Pickeral lake on pontoon boat to crooked lake and then to Burt lake. Access to the dock and all of the lakes was the highlight of our vacation. The Hot tub was very nice and clean. Overall, nice place to stay!

Great host, great location, great fishing (shhhh!).

Jeremy was an accommodating host and made everything easy. There was a small issue that affected our ability to fish but the host compensated us for it. The hot tub was a great way to end long days of fishing. The woodburning stove was a nice touch, and the place was spacious. Even though the listing says there are just three bedrooms, the place functionally has four. Thanks for a great time Jeremy!
