Welcome to your new favorite home-away-from-home, Hidden Gem! This custom cabin is located in the beautiful pine trees within the highly popular Powder House Pass area in the heart of the northern Black Hills recreational corridor! ATV and snowmobile trails run adjacent to the subdivision and make this location the best for enjoying year-round outdoor fun!

Spearfish Canyon, with its amazing rim-rock canyon walls and streams, is just 10 minutes away as well and perfect for hiking/biking, rock climbing, and some amazing fly-fishing opportunities! The local ski resort, Terry Peak, can be accessed with a short 10 minute drive as well! Within 15 minutes you can also be enjoying great restaurants, casino's, sports books, and more in the world-famous Deadwood, SD! Local taxi companies service the area where the cabin is located making it convenient for a great night out! Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Custer State Park, Sylvan Lake and more of the major Black Hills attractions can all be accessed within a 1 hour drive down the whimsical highway 385 passing forests, lakes and amazing towns like Hill City! You can walk out your door and enjoy hiking/biking, side-by-side trail riding, snowmobiling, the night life in Deadwood, or an amazing day on the slopes within minutes of Hidden Gem!

After your days enjoying all the local things to do, coming home to your very own private cabin is sure to be the best part of your trip. You'll be greeted by a large drive-thru parking area great for trailers and an oversized 3 car garage. Inside, the kitchen/living/dining area is a large open area great for entertaining your guests that seamlessly come together with walls full of windows looking out to private forest views! Just off the kitchen is a covered deck with a great forest view! The loft has a sitting area with picturesque views of the forest as well! The lower level has an additional living room, wet bar, and bedrooms also. Just off the lower-level living area is a walk out patio leading out to the hot tub with an amazing view of the stars! Above the garage is an additional living area, bedrooms and gaming system perfect for kids to enjoy their own space. There's also a deck off this living area above the garage with more great views! Smart TVs are located throughout and you'll have access to two sets of washer and dryer's! There's over 3300 square feet of living space making it great to spread out and find your own space, while finding time to enjoy time with your friends/family.

You also get access to the local community clubhouse with it's 2 pools (one is heated and open all year, while the second pool is open in the summer months and not heated), game room, gas fire-pit area and kitchen/wet-bar!

This place was perfect for our group of 20! We were impressed with how the kitchen had so many utencils, appliances and dishes for our big group. It's decorated beautifully and would for sure stay again.

Check-in was easy. The kitchen, although a bit tight, was ample to cook for 17 people. No issues with the wi-fi. The hot tub was great. The teenagers had their own section of the house and walked to the swimming pool at the club house.

Good spot for family gathering

Perfect for a large group

We had a large group of adults and teens here for a long weekend snowmobiling. House was perfect, had everything you needed. Easy to hop on trail 5 right from the house too. We also enjoyed stopping at Recreational Springs just down the road for lunch and a drink. Great spot for a group.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our family vacation and liked that all 20 of us could stay in one place. Enjoyed the outside driveway as the kids could ride their little bikes and play and also that a pool was accessible. Location was great. Only downfall of this property was the small kitchen and dining area. But this house had way to many steps for all the little ones we had in our group.

Super nice!

This house was perfect for our extended family get-a-way. 14 adults (4 couples). Beds were super comfortable and bedrooms/baths provided enough space and privacy for all of us. Short drive to Deadwood. Would definitely choose this one again!

Family vacation

We were out celebrating our Grandma's 75th birthday, and this was a perfect place to stay to accommodate us all. Short little taxi ride to deadwood, plenty of bed and bath rooms for personal space, multiple hangout areas to chat or play games, and a hot tub with a view! We do have a lot of cooks in the family, so the kitchen was a little small, but it was manageable! Over all very nice place to stay 10/10 recommend!

Property was beautiful and very spacious for the number of guests that stayed. Very clean and comfortable. I do feel that it needs to be more clearly communicated that pool and shuffle board tables are at the clubhouse and not on site as pictures and description are misleading. Texted property manager regarding televisions not working and never got a response back.

Nice Rental

We had part of our group stay here. It was perfect for the 4 couples that stayed here. Wasn't as clean as expected but not a big deal. Otherwise we loved the house and location. Had a few issues that were quickly taken care of by the property manager. Would definitely recommend booking with them!!

Could have been a five star

The house is nice. It appears to be unfinished somewhat, dry wall repair not painted and crown molding on kitchen cabinets not completed. Beds are comfortable. The natural gas BBQ and propane table we’re very nice to have, could use some BBQ utensils. Bring extra paper products like toilet paper, trash bags and paper towels. The location was good for our family. We enjoyed a day at the club house pool.

awesome time

We had so much fun staying at this rental the house was clean, the beds were very comfortable, there was lots to do, the kids had a blast swimming in the pool with 2 ft of snow outside .and we had a lot of fun playing cornhole in the garage.The only thing i would suggest is to better equip the kitchen ,we did a lot of cooking but brought most of the pans , roaster, griddle with us. I would also suggest getting a blackstone griddle instead of a grill, we have never rented a place yet that had a clean grill and this one was no exception.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin is beautiful, tucked back in the community, very quiet with plenty of parking. No worry about traffic for the kids. It has plenty of room, and is close to the trail for dirt biking, hiking or OHV's. We were disappointed that we ran out of toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, propane (they did bring another one when requested) and we did not have a key fob for the pool (we did NOT get a response when requested) and the hot tub needed to be cleaned.

Hidden Gem House

This house is located in the Powder Pass Community where there is a community of rentals with a community center that has 2 pools and a building with a pool table and shuffle board. It was about a mile away. The house fit 13 people perfectly with all the children getting their own beds. Each family was able to have their own bathroom. The kitchen area with the dining table is a little snug and can get tricky with a lot of people in there but overall it worked out great! Communication with thr manager was seamless and he replied quickly every time. If you plan on grilling, bring your own utensils. My family enjoyed it and we can't wait to come back!

Great place to stay!

This house and neighborhood were beautiful! It’s perfect for multiple families to stay and there is plenty of room for trailer parking! The house is set back in an excluded area where smaller kids are able to run around and play with no worries about traffic! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious! There were no dressers (just nightstands) in the bedrooms but tons of closet space, so if you didn’t want to hang up your clothes, you just lived out of your suitcase. There were master baths for almost every room so that is nice and more private per family. The only complaint we had is the water pressure was not great. Thankfully, we had a plumber staying with us that unscrewed all shower heads and discovered A LOT of sediment which he removed. After that, the water pressure in the showers was more ideal. We did not feel the need to bother Budi with this issue since it was late at night when discovered and temporarily fixed. Budi had great communication for our other questions and/or concerns that arose during our stay. Overall, we would stay here again if we return to the area!

Such a Beautiful place to stay, so many cozy details that makes it feel like home away from home. The beds were comfortable with quality bedding and the decor was impressive! The kitchen area is a bit tight for too many cooks but supplies were ample to cook for a group of 20. We enjoyed having the extra garage space for recreation time also! Highly recommend this VRBO location!

It is probably a better space for a long weekend stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It is 3300 square feet, but it is a strange use of space. We had 13 people staying there for a week (only 2 children, and they are nearly adolescents). We could not all dine together. There were multiple common spaces, but no space large enough for all of us, which is what we wanted. No dressers in the bedrooms. We had to buy trashcans for the bathrooms. The downstairs bedrooms had no closets. The downstairs bath had a closet, but it had utilities in it, so it was pretty useless. We cooked all our dinners in, and the kitchen was on the small side, and cramped when more than 2 or 3 adults were in there. For 3 or 4 days, the house might work well, especially if you are not cooking. But for 7 days, it became tight and very inconvenient, especially when we had to live out of our suitcases.

Pretty much everything we needed was provided! Lead, SD was just minutes away and had a very nice grocery store, “Lynn’s”, that we used a couple of times. Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, etc; we’re close——so many things to do!!! Highly recommend Black Hills Adventure Lodging for your vacation destination!!!!
