Lazy River Cottage private river access

2 bedroom cottage on the Edisto river.
You could fit a couple of air mattresses in this space.
Fenced in yard huge yard with its own private boat landing. Huge screened in porch plus a huge deck with a grill and picnic table.
Bring your boat, jet skis, kayaks, floats. Come fish and play in this country setting. 30 to 40 mins to downtown Charleston and beaches. Indoor and outdoor patio. Private boat landing in a fenced-in yard on the Edisto river. Great for family fun. Givahans state park 2 miles away 2 hour tube float.
Edisto river adventure 2.9 miles away. There's 2 kyakes, paddles, life jackets, and tubes. Please put back where you found them or don't use them. Propane and charcoal grill. Please use the foil provided.
Bourbon Creek resturant and bar 1.8 miles away. Bee City 1.6 Mike's away.

I have box spring and matress encasements on the beds. Do not take them off.
I have pets control come monthly to spray, and they come out also if a bug siting.
These are preventive measures I take for people traveling. It'ss a rental. For your safety and mine.

We enjoyed a nice, long weekend here for Thanksgiving. The host was very kind and attentive. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The weather was cold but there were heaters to keep the place warm and cozy. We'll be back in the spring/summer to play in the river! Thanks for a great stay!

This a riverside cottage. It's a cottage. Expect a cottage. That being said, it was exactly what we needed. We'd like to return, but with more fishing gear in hand. It was a great time to spend with our grandsons.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage even though it rained the entire time! We did worry about deadfall in the yard because of all that rain. The listing in vrbo is accurate. With all the rain, we would have liked to utilize the covered porch but there were only benches and metal chairs. All being said, it served our purpose and was comfortable and clean.

Not clean!!! The place is much older and run down than the pictures online depict. The floor entering into on of the bedrooms was so warped that the door would not close even halfway, making it very difficult for child to sleep when adults are still up. The furniture is very old and everyone sitting on the couch rolls to the middle. I knew from pics that it would have a campy kind of feel but i did not expect mice droppings in every room! The silverware in the drawer was so grimy, we had to wash every piece before use. Finding mouse droppings on a coffee cup that had been rinced and left on the sink in the morning when we returned from activities, convinced us to wash every dish and cup before use. There was no place to sit and eat other than screen porch, but with heat ondex over 100, that wasn't an option. Dead bugs and mouse evidence onback of toilet and what looks like mold inside and on flaps of window air conditioner ticked me off and caused my allergies to explode. I booked this place based on reviews that it was clean and a 10 out of 10 rating! The owner is listed as a premier host, are these reviews from another property she owns? I have been booking thru VRBO for years and this is my first negative review of property. I'm just thankful this was a short stay and not the typical 7-9 days I tend to book for. If i were staying longer, i probably would have contacted host to have it cleaned while were there or found fine place else to stay.
Shower is smaller than a cruise ship shower and not cleaned well. There is also no place in the bathroom to hang towels to dry

Peaceful Stay on the Edisto River – Highly Recommend!We stayed at this river house on the Edisto River from July 31 to August 3, and it was a fun getaway for our family. The view of the river was beautiful, and having private boat access made it even more special—we spent hours on the water and soaking up the peaceful surroundings.The home felt private and relaxing, perfect for unwinding. Everything was clean and comfortable, and we really appreciated the quiet, natural setting.A special shout-out to the host, who was incredibly responsive and kind. After we checked out, we realized my son had left his necklace behind. She not only found it quickly but also made sure we were able to pick it up—such a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot to us.Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful river escape with family. We’d love to come back

Excellent cabin by a peaceful winding river

Great little cabin by a river. Remote and peaceful. Occasional jet skis buzz by on the river. The vibe of the place is very chill. I will definitely stay here again.

Lazy River House

Needed some place to stay while floors were being refinished. Quaint, laid back and only about 50 feet from Edisto River. It was very hot and not much to do if you do not do things on the water. The TV worked via Air Play from iPad. Watched some Braves baseball that way and Madam Sec Series. Beds are up against the wall. This made it difficult to get out of bed during the night. Shower leaves a lot to be desired. Killed two Copper Head snakes in yard since this is so near the Edisto River. Fishing not good this time of year. Would rent again if we need to. Worked for us. Quiet, Peaceful-Perfect.

Nice place right on the water. Fully fenced yard, boat ramp for easy access, Cast into deep water right from front yard! Very clean, quiet, fully stocked cabin. Screened Porch. Little drive to the city; but thats a good thing for us.Most importantly; host was EXCEPTIONAL & took care of everything! Such a nice find & we will definately be back! You wont go wrong here. Really peaceful place on Edisto!

Hidden Gem

We had my son‘s 18th birthday party here and we had a great time. The place had everything we needed. A small boat ramp that was perfect for my Jet Ski. We were able to swim and float down the river. It is a nice little getaway if you ever want something quiet and affordable with access to the water. The host Melinda checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. I’m going back and would definitely recommend staying here. Great family getaway!!

Nice and quiet

5 day stay over Christmas. The weather didnt cooperate to allow much river fun, but so many options if mother nature had been nicer. Nice stock of essentials and snacks.

Family get together for Navy Graduation

My son graduated from NAVY Nuclear Power School in Charleston and this was a great way to spend the weekend after graduation. Close to Charleston. Our family had an awesome time. Kayaking was great (didn't catch any fish but we tried) and the outside firepit and seating was great. The inside of the house and porch was awesome also. Would defintely recommend this location.
