Welcome to Oneida Overlook, a breathtaking vacation home perched above the clear water of Hancock Lake. This gorgeous, private home has been extensively updated with oak floors, quartz countertops, luxury plank flooring, new light fixtures, a new exterior entryway, and landscaping which includes retaining walls, paved walkway and patio area. The living room has a high efficiency Opel wood burning fireplace and oversized windows which offer a stunning view of the water and gorgeous sunsets.

Oneida Overlook is a dream location in any season. Oneida County boasts over 1100 miles of snowmobile trails in the county that are groomed for the perfect ride throughout the snow season. The snowmobile trail conveniently runs just along the north side of Hancock Lake and connects to an additional 500+ miles of trail in vilas County.

With three bedrooms and sleeping accommodations for up to 6 guests, Oneida Overlook is the perfect destination for family vacations in Wisconsin's Northwoods. Hancock lake is 260 acres, a great lake size for exploration by pontoon, kayak or canoe! Known for great fishing, anglers can reel in musky, panfish, bass, pike and walleye! House was great - well maintained and updated throughout. Very secluded - you can barely see the neighbors through the trees and we didn't hear/see any people the entire week. Most of the time it seemed we had the lake to ourselves. Kitchen was well stocked. Property manager was great to work with and communicated everything very well. We had one issue (which was our fault) and they took care of it immediately. The only cons, which were really more of just inconveniences, were 1) no washer/dryer (so either pack everything for the week or spend time at a laundromat in a nearby town), and 2) 8am check-out on the day of departure. I'd probably give the property a 4.5 rating if VRBO allowed half stars, but if they changed those two items this would without a doubt be 5 star.

Loved the house!

There were so many details about this house that were amazing - clean, beautiful view, great location, pet friendly, nicely equipped kitchen, great tv, good wifi for the location, even the light switches were labeled! One drawback for us was the lack of washer and dryer. Not clear when we originally booked. Who wants to spend time at the community laundry when you’re on a 2 week vacation? We would book again if there was a washer and dryer!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were delighted the moment we entered. We noticed it was very clean and well kept. The kitchen was nicely appointed with everything you would need to cook all week. They thought of everything. Loved the view and fire pit below. We brought a boat and jet ski and had no problem parking both on the new large pier. Also, the lake was adequate size for water sports. The only thing we didn’t find was a sand bar for our dogs.There may have been one, but it didn’t stand out. We would highly recommend this vacation home.

Lovely lake home

Beautiful large updated lake home with space for all 8 of us. We had a fun relaxing time. Enjoyed the kayaks. We also rented a pontoon from the rental company. Lake was weedy by dock so we didn’t swim but great for fishing. Overall we had a great time and considering renting again next year.
