Beautiful villa in the countryside that was perfect for my family. The home is well equipped and Iris, the host was very responsive whenever I had questions and she provided us with many places to visit, restaurant information and other pertinent information for our visit. What we enjoyed the most was the outside patio, pool and views.

Our stay at Podere Fortunato was wonderful! We enjoyed the beautiful views, abundant supplies in the kitchen for preparing a meal and up to date and comfortable rooms. The detailed direction to the house were very helpful and accurate but we were glad we arrived during the daylight. We enjoyed a wonderful olive oil tasting in Seggiano and even made a visit to the winery just up the road from the house.

We had a lovely time in this beautiful setting. The property was well appointed and was as described. The host was always available to assist as was the groundskeeper. Highly recommend.

Throughout the process communication with Iris was excellent. The house was if anything, even better than in the pictures. Each bedroom and bathroom was beautifully appointed and the kitchen had everything you could need. The outside areas were spectacular. We had a wonderful holiday.

We wanted to find somewhere special to celebrate our 40th Wedding anniversary and boy did we find it. Beautiful setting, excellent situation and accomodation. Very well fitted out. Sleeping was very comfortable with all bedrooms equiped with A/C if you want it. The view from the Pool and the terrace are breathtaking. The owner has been in touch all along and has been very helpful with any questions. I would recommend 'Podere Fortunato' to people who just want to relax. For those who like to explore there is also huge options available. Cycling, Walking, exploring the unique hilltop towns and villages in the area. Then come back to the villa for a lovely swim in the pool. What more can you ask for. Thankyou very much for helping make our 40th Anniversay visit to Tuscany so memorable.

Gorgeous Tuscan Getaway

This home is the epitome of Tuscany. The house is quaint and the views are just gorgeous. This isn’t in a busy tourist area, which is refreshing! Highly recommend this home!

Great place to relax

This is a beautifully restored farmhouse, and unlike many rentals, this felt like (and clearly is) a real house. The owners left a lot of helpful information about nearby restaurants and things to do in the area, but frankly, the house was so nice we mostly stayed there to relax and enjoy the pool and beautiful views over the olive grove and surrounding area. We had a wonderful stay - we only wish we could have stayed longer.

If you’ve never been to Tuscany and you imagine what it could be like, this is everything you’ve ever dreamt of! Location is incredible and the surrounding towns are beautiful. The use of the GPS coordinates is key. Our host was awesome and her attention to detail was very much appreciated.

Beautiful stay, charming.

Ample space with 3 nice sized bedrooms. Kitchen with all you need to prepare your meals. The view and the pool area are spectacular. We will be back in September for a chance to enjoy the pool. Iris was very responsive to our communications and Uran helped us with setting up heating upon arrival. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely fantastic house in the hills of Tuscany! Lovely bedrooms - air con is perfect - and 2 beautiful an suites as well as an extra third bathroom also housing a washing machine. Wonderful kitchen with everything one could think of including toaster, coffee maker, juicer, milk frother, mixer etc! Lots of cutlery and crockery so no need to run the dishwasher after every meal. Loads of condiments - thanks! And oil and vinegar as well as sugar and salt - perfect! Just top up when used up. Excellent pool with bar and fridge. Lovely dining area and living room as well as dining area al fresco on the veranda. Absolutely love the house - and communication with the hosts super easy and super quick! Can really recommend! Need a car as really out in the sticks but well worth it as quiet and all on your own!

Incredible Stay

This is a fantastic property that is perfectly out of the way in a beautiful part of southern Tuscany. Home is clean and comfortable with amazing views of the countryside and olive trees. Decor and furnishings are true to the area. Very private. Area has numerous wineries nearby, but not excessively full of tourists, which was nice. The pool area and patios are a dream. The host was excellent in terms of communication and it is clear that she is enthusiastic about the property and the region. Our expectations were exceeded and we would definitely consider returning!

WOW- What a house!

Fantastic 12 days in this gorgeous house in a perfect location! This house was spotlessly clean! We enjoyed every moment! Wish we cold have used the beautiful pool, but weather did not allow.Particularly loved the kitchen which was well-stocked and made cooking so enjoyable. Really good beds and appreciated the ensuite bathrooms. Loved the covered dining area with the gorgeous view as well as the outdoor patio. Beautiful grounds - the lilacs and irises were heaven!Fantastic location for exploration of the area. Walked someplace beautiful every day. So many wonderful restaurants within 30 minutes of driving. Highly recommend this house and would be thrilled to return.

Undiscovered Tuscany

My husband and I stayed at this remote olive farm for 3 days. It is really lovely. Very well appointed, great kitchen, spectacular views of the valley. It is quite rural but close to seggiano. There is a learning curve to this area (Iris has an amazing booklet of helpful information). We explored local towns of montalcino, Pienze and Sienna. My only advice would be to leave yourself more time, a week minimum. It is buggy. Bring bug juice as it is hard to find in the stores!

We had a wonderful stay at Iris’ home. The house and surrounding property are absolutely beautiful and is located in a great area to explore the Tuscan countryside and towns. The home was very clean, had comfortable beds and an excellently stocked kitchen. Iris was a lovely host with great communication. We highly recommend and would love to stay again!
