This was a cozy little suit and It was only steps from the beach with the most spectacular sunrises ever Great location to stay to catch all the tourists things to do in the area!

We were there for 2 weeks. Was the perfect place to stay for day trips around the gulf islands and Vancouver island. Shannon had the place ready for us when we got there. The stay was the relaxing time we needed at the perfect place.

Lovely location

We had a great stay to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. We were close to several great trails and we didn’t have a bad meal the entire trip. Very nice if you’re looking for a quiet vacation.

The unit was spacious with lots of windows with beautiful views of the gardens and bay! We enjoyed sitting outside on the outdoor furniture sipping our coffee watching the sunrise! Kitchen was equipped with lots of spices, utensils and cook ware. Location is awesome. We could walk to the grocery store in 12 minutes. We highly recommend “Steps to the Beach”.

Mill Bay stay

Quiet one bedroom aparment with functional kitchen and sitting area. We really enjoyed the morning view of the bay while having coffee, a beautiful spot.

Lovely garden and ocean view

Really enjoyed our stay in Mill Bay. Short walk to the beach, marina and town. Full sized kitchen and fridge. Quiet hosts and location. Very clean and spacious.

Lovely little cottage in Mill Bay

What a beautiful little cottage! Very quiet and private with a beautiful garden right outside the door and amazing sunrise views. Many thanks to Shannon for hosting us. I hope we can come back next year.

Close to Brentwood

Perfect spot to stay for visiting Brentwood for sports or students. Nice beach access just 1 block away. Has everything you need to cook. Would be lovely in any season.

Quiet. Beautiful view!

Host was amazing. Greeted us and helped us find the right unit even though we arrived at 11:45p. Great communication. The suite had everything we needed. Very comfortable.

The place was very comfortable. Comfortable bed tho a little “creaky”. It is a basement suite so some noise from people walking around upstairs. It was very rainy so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors much and that is definitely part of the charm of the rental.

Yes it was very unfortunate that the weather didn't cooperate better during your visit. I agree a big part of the charm of my Ground Level garden suite is the outdoor space and close proximity to the ocean. I didn't know that the bed was creaky, so I checked it out and it seems the screws on the left side of the frame need to be tighten. It's on my fix it list!

Relaxing Holiday Stay

Shannon & Harold were excellent hosts.We had a wonderful, relaxing one week stay in their very comfortable ground-level apartment which had lovely views of Mill Bay (especially the sunrises)The apartment had everything we needed including access to a large washing machine and dryer, which was definitely a plus for our roadtrip.Thank you Shannon & Harold for allowing us to stay in your lovely apartment and thank you for the recommendations of places to see and the ferry ride while we were there.It was lovely meeting you both.Warm regards Nev & Margie xx

Pleasant and quiet

Steps to the beach is a lovely picturesque area to spend a vacation. There was nothing that Shannon forgot to equip us with. It was very quiet and pleasant. The suite was spotless and water pressure was great for showers. Close to any stores you might need. Beautiful place to enjoy morning coffee with a view of the blooming gardens. Maybe you found it difficult to navigate the stepping stone pathway? It's best to pick up luggage rather than try and roll it over the lawn and stepping stones, especially if the luggage wheels are smaller. Other than that I don't quite understand your comment that the suite is difficult to get to? To gain entry, you go to the south side of the house, to the backyard, where the door to the suite is located. Not sure what I can do to improve it. Thanks!
