Wonderful getaway

Property is well kept in a very picturesque setting. All guests raved about the cleanliness and amenities. Would highly recommend this property to anyone with a group or family gathering.

Fall weekend in Galen

Our group had a wonderful stay here. There was plenty of space in the house and a nice outdoor area. It was a quick 20 minute drive into town. We are already planning our next trip back!

Amazing Galena Home!

Beautiful home with amazing views! Lots of room and things to do in the area. Loved watching the horse riders walk on the trail behind the home. We didn’t end up using the fire pit but there was wood available if we had. Kitchen was well stocked. There were plenty of towels and linens. Beach towels were also available or for the hot tub.

Rest and Relaxation Personified

Other than a few property fixes needed (minimal stuff), the house was exquisite and made us feel at home. Had all the amenities a family needs to rest, relax, and decompress. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend!

Great vacation spot

Our family stayed for a few days of skiing and vacation. The house is great and comfortable. The pool table and hot tub are great! Plenty of space for the kids to spread out and have their space.

Beautiful, spacious home! Plenty of room for all to enjoy! Enjoyed the peaceful surroundings outside, too. We appreciated having a detailed reference book for the home (some places don't always do that). Highly recommend this home!

Beautiful home

The home was well-appointed with tastefully a decorated interior and great landscaping. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. Lots of space for 2 families to share. Plenty of beds and couches. Good internet and water pressure. It was nice to have access to the Owners Club where there is a swimming pool and game room. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this home.

Rental for family wedding

We rented this place for our daughter’s wedding which was at Ashton Hill Farms and it was only a 15 minute drive to there. The house had more than enough room to accommodate he 9 people and the range of ages that were staying with us. It was a very nice place with a beautiful view and quiet neighborhood. I would not hesitate to rent from them again and would definitely recommend it to others!

Perfect long weekend family gathering

We met family friends for a long weekend and we all agreed it was just fantastic. Plenty of room for four adults, four children (aged 6-14) and one sweet puppy. The company responded promptly when we hit a small snag with the hot tub and we had excellent hot tubbing all weekend long. The pool table was a great hit, as were the fire pits and hiking trails. We went on trail rides and had wonderful riding lessons from the nearby stable, and swam in the owners pool nearly every day. A surprise hit was playing life-sized chess at th e resort and finding the blacksmith shop downtown Galena. The property was clean and well appointed.

Nice home with plenty of space - needs updating

We stayed at Eagle Ridge to celebrate a few family birthdays. We arrived to the home an hour early and reached out to the management company who gave us permission to check-in early, which was greatly appreciated. The location of the home is good as the rest of our group was renting homes close by. When we walked in the house there was an odd smell (not dirty, or musty or foul) that we spent a couple of days trying to get rid of with candles and air fresheners. We were pleased to see 2 parking permits and 8 access cards for our group to use the owners club. Over the next few days we noticed that while the house is large and fairly clean, it is in need of some updating and TLC. Several light bulbs were out. The door handles on one of the bedroom doors and the freezer were very loose and popped off at times. The towel hook in the master bathroom looked like it was about to fall of the wall. There were empty pop cans left on the back patio and in a bin on the front step. The refrigerator in the basement never got cold. The pots and pans are very old and worn out, one pan appeared to have rust in it.None of these negatively impacted our stay as we were on the golf course or in town for most of each day. We were just surprised at the condition of the house.

Maintenance issues

One room had no electricity when we arrived. Had to flip breaker. The rest of stay lights flickered. No side lamps worked, only overhead lights. Handle in downstairs bathroom was broke. Many dead spiders along baseboard on basement.

Family Weekend

We had a wonderful stay! Communication with the host was excellent. They were very prompt in getting back to me with questions that I had prior to our visit. The home was beautiful with many things included that we did not have to bring ourselves, such as, coffee maker, grill, firewood, blender, and a wide assortment of cooking and baking pans. The home accommodated our 10 family members nicely. Everyone appreciated having their own bathroom. Each bedroom had their own TV,except the TV in one room did not work and the TV remote was missing in the other room. We didn't mind because we did not spend alot of time watching TV. The pool table downstairs was something that everyone enjoyed. We went to the nearby owners club to go to the pool which was very nice and clean. We felt welcomed by the staff who were very friendly. We also went to the Farmer's Market at the owner's club. One night we grilled out on the back deck and I found myself leaning up against the side of the deck and it felt a little wobbly. I found myself warning family members about it,so I thought it was a bit unsafe. Overall it was a great place to stay and I would definitely stay there again!
