This darling, dog friendly, 3 bedroom, 3 bath home is located in an exclusive corner of The Galena Territory with beautiful landscaping and open space all around for yard games galore! The large welcoming front porch will soon become a common space to relax and have coffee while taking in the fresh Galena morning air.

This lovely home is close to downtown Galena and has access to all the Galena Territory Owners' Club amenities as well as the Marina and Shenandoah Riding Center. Come Join Us!

Our host was very welcoming! I spoke with her several times and she was friendly, informative and helpful. The home was spotless, cozy and comfortable and kitchen well equipped and organized. We enjoyed the fire pit with wood provided and the great trails to walk nearby.

Beautiful area to stay, very quiet, and we spent mornings enjoying our coffee and watching birds from the screened-in porch. This home has everything you need for a great stay (most stocked kitchen with dishes, pots, pans and dinnerware I have had while traveling). Very comfortable beds. Wonderful hiking trails and access to swimming pools. Close to Galina and shopping and enjoying the town. We even met the property owners during our stay and had a nice chat. We had a fantastic mother-daughter trip with friends while staying at this property.

I rented this property for my son and his family while a few of us stayed in a different house. This house, by far, was the best! Clean, beautiful ly decorated and pet friendly, too. Made my 75th birthday even more special. I hope I can rent this house when I come back to Galena later this year.

Perfect Getaway

We had a wonderful few days at this beautiful home. They had everything we needed and more. We didn’t take advantage of the community game room or pool on this trip, but definitely will in the future. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the views were so peaceful. Can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful home. Very peaceful and quiet. Front porch with rocking chairs was my favorite place to start the morning with a cup of coffee. Sitting around the firepit which was awesome was how our day ended.

Excellent weekend getaway

We had a wonderful weekend in Galena and loved this house. It was just right for my family, everything was so clean and well kept. Especially loved that we had 3 separate bathrooms so showering and heading off to the next adventure was quick. Working with Kristen leading up to our trip was beyond helpful. She made recommendations and answered all of my questions. Her call was an extra bonus to the house and one I much appreciated.

Perfect Home for Family Getaway

Absolutely beautiful, clean home perfect for a family getaway. Hosts are very nice and the entire trip was stress free. There are so many little touches that we appreciated like s'mores in the pantry, the beds have adjustable remote control, the little pet bowls and treats, a few laundry pods, just little things that were over the top perfect. If you love birds, there are beautiful birds that come to the feeder, I'm not sure what the little birds with red mohawks are called but we loved them :) :) It was very easy to have a fire in the yard for s'mores and the seating is very comfortable even in winter. The beds and pillows were so amazingly comfortable. Could not have had a better stay and our whole family will remember this NYE trip forever, thank you for everything :)

Hello Friends, and welcome to the Blue Bird House! We named it as such due to the family of blue birds living in our backyard. We first thought their nest was in the woods, but then we soon discovered that they had taken over a previous hole in the siding made by a woodpecker bird. As such, we couldn’t repair the hole and instead, named it the Blue Bird House! Enjoy them as they come to the deck and windows to say hello.

A little background on our family:
Our family lives in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and we have been coming to visit Galena for the past 25 years, since our children were just infants. From the time we first visited, we fell in love with the natural beauty of Galena and especially the Territory. The rolling hills, panoramic views, and abundance of wildlife is amazing – a hidden treasure right here in Illinois! Let’s not forget about the fantastic golfing, fishing, hiking, boating, shopping, and eateries as well as the dark skies to star gaze. Recently, a long-time dream of ours came true and we purchased this home to continue making memories of Galena. We hope that your stay in our cozy Bluebird House will help to create your Galena memories.
