The Space:

Step into a lakeside haven that blends rustic warmth with thoughtful comfort. Cozy Keyes Cottage is a two-bedroom, one-bath getaway designed for guests who love the outdoors as much as the indoors.



As you enter, you’re welcomed by a fully equipped kitchen — complete with oven, stove, microwave, fridge, cookware, and a Keurig stocked with assorted pods. Whether it’s your first coffee of the day or a family dinner after a long paddle, this kitchen is set up for simple, enjoyable meals.



The living room sits just off the kitchen, with large windows that frame the lake just steps away. A loveseat and two cushioned chairs create a perfect nook for reading or watching your favorite shows on the wall-mounted TV. The decor is cozy, inviting, and unmistakably Maine.



The first bedroom offers a king-size bed and dual bureaus, giving you space to fully unpack and feel at home. The second bedroom includes one full-sized bed and one twin, ideal for kids or additional guests. A full bathroom with a soaking tub, plush towels, and personal toiletries completes the space.



But what makes this cottage truly special is what lies just outside your door: a private deck with lounge seating and a gas grill, a gentle lawn that leads right to the water, and uninterrupted access to Cobbosseecontee Lake — one of Maine’s most beloved lakes.

Cobbosseecontee Lake is widely regarded as one of Maine’s top bass fishing destinations and regularly hosts popular tournaments, including the state’s largest single-benefit team event. Guest Access:

Guests have full and private access to the entire cottage and surrounding outdoor spaces.



Step outside to your own dock, where you can launch one of the included kayaks, paddleboards, or the canoe for a quiet trip around the cove. Enjoy the BBQ grill on the deck for lakeside meals, and gather around the fire pit in the evenings for s’mores and stargazing.



Whether you’re fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, or just relaxing by the water, everything you need is right here — and available year-round. In winter, the frozen lake becomes a playground for ice fishing, snowmobiling, and skating, all just steps from your door.



The Neighborhood:

We are lucky to be a part of Winthrop, Maine! There are so many charming local shops and eateries nearby in downtown Winthrop. We are down the road from one of the most famous ice cream shoppes in Maine, Fielders Choice! If you are new to Maine or new to this area, we definitely recommend! The theater at Monmouth is always a great family outing if you happen to be visiting when a production is playing! We are close to Hannaford (a local grocery store) in downtown Winthrop as well as in Augusta as well!



Here at the cottage, our quaint neighborhood is quiet and serene. You will find more noise made by the loons than anything else! The quiet dirt road let’s guests walk around and look at the surroundings. Feel free to adventure as best as you can in this very small neighborhood! The local neighbors are all friendly and welcoming.



Getting Around:

Cozy Keyes Cottage is conveniently located just minutes from downtown Winthrop and a short drive to Augusta. The public boat launch is nearby, and guests can dock their boats right at the cottage.



Within walking distance, you’ll find Lakeside Marina, which offers baked goods, sandwiches, convenience items, and boat rentals. The popular White Duck Restaurant & Pub is just a two-minute walk away and perfect for a casual lakeside meal.



Guests can easily explore the area by car, but many choose to stay close and enjoy the peaceful surroundings on foot or by water.



Other Things to Note:

Just a short walk from the cottage, Lakeside Marina offers boat and jet ski rentals, baked goods, convenience items, and more. Guests are welcome to dock rental boats right in front of the cottage, making it easy to get out on the water whenever the mood strikes.



We’re also happy to welcome pets at Cozy Keyes Cottage, because we know they’re part of the family. If you’re bringing a pet, please let us know in advance — a $195 pet fee applies. To help us maintain a clean and comfortable space, we kindly ask that pets stay off the furniture and that owners pick up after them, both inside and outside the cottage.
