This house fit our family perfectly. There is a “suite” of 3 bedrooms tucked away with their own bathroom which made that a very private area. A master on the main with its own bathroom and another bed upstairs with a small bath. We did wish that the upstairs bedroom was a king. There were some light bulbs that were burned out but that was minor. Carpet was abused by previous guests and needs to be replaced. It is a very short walk to the beach which was very much appreciated. Overall a great house with a fantastic screened porch floor plan. The host was very attentive and responsive.

We thank you for choosing our home for your trip and that you found the layout to be such a good fit for your family. We appreciate the feedback and the opportunity to improve the experience for the next guest. We will be replacing the upstairs bed with a California king to create more of a true master suite. We think that is a great modification, likely to make it the favorite sleeping arrangement in the home. Thank you for that recommendation. We are sorry to learn of your disappointment with the bedroom flooring. The carpet was replaced 15 months ago, so hopefully a carpet cleaning will be all that is needed. Unfortunately, we are only able to do that before and after the season and not weekly. It is our hope that you will return in the future and that perhaps a stay at the beginning of the season would allow you to enjoy the layout without the season's wear on the carpet.

We had a wonderful stay. Plenty of room and a quick walk to the beach. The screened in porch was where we all sat at night. You can see the water from the house and that was nice. We would stay here again. The owners were so nice. They checked in with us our whole stay. .

Great location and space

We had a great family vacation in this home. The space was clean, comfortable, and well-suited for a group. The kitchen had the basic pots, pans, and cabinet essentials we needed for cooking. It’s just a short walk to beach access, which made coming and going with kids easy. The upstairs bedroom feels like its own little apartment—perfect for giving someone in the group a bit more privacy. We’d definitely stay here again!

Wonderful, Relaxing Vacation

This property was perfect for our family to come together and vacation. The beds were extremely comfortable and the house was clean. The hammock on the porch was the favorite spot for everyone. Naps for all! The set up of the rooms were perfect for us. The teenagers were able to be separate from the adults and the little kids. The beach was a quick walk and easily accessible. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Excellent place for a family.

Lots of bedroom, bathroom, and living space. Fully equipped kitchen and both gas and charcoal grills. Great screen porch with a swing and hammock. The hammock is the easiest place in the house to fall asleep, with ocean views and breeze. It's an easy walk to the beach. There is also an ice cream truck that comes by right out front! Depending on the kids, that's great or bad!

We love Edisto!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sea Shells Sanctuary! The home itself is beautiful and comfortable. It is a short walk to the beach. The porch and deck areas have wonderful ocean views. When we arrived the lights under the home were not working. These were fixed quickly. It meant a lot to us as we enjoy cornhole in the evenings. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent property and a perfect fit for our family

Very clean and well supplied in all areas. Paper towels, toilet tissue, beach and kitchen towels, dishwasher detergent, etc. all there. Nicely and comfortably furnished. Games and puzzles too! Gas and charcoal grill. Nice views of the ocean. On our visit, it was very windy with noticeable salt air, which cooled down the heat and humidity some. The house is a less than one block walk to the beach. A terrific place to stay!!

Beach week with the kids!

We surprised our kids with a beach week in Edisto. If you can’t afford to be right on the beach, but need a larger house, this is IT! Location is literally steps from the smaller beach access (golf cart only so it’s not too busy) and there are views of the ocean from both porches. The huge 1st floor screened in porch was a favorite gathering place. Wonderful all-around home. The kitchen is incredibly well furnished. We cooked a ton of huge meals.
