Unique Dutch Barn in the Hudson Valley

The Unique Dutch Barn, is a magnificent property built in the 1800s and well located in the Hudson Valley on historic Westinghouse Farm. The perfect spot if you are here for a wedding, to visit West Point or LEGOLAND, go hiking, skiing or just to sample the local craft breweries and wineries. For art and music lovers Storm King, Dia Beacon and Bethel Woods are nearby. Whether you come for a creative retreat, or meet up with old friends and family, this expansive space will offer a memorable stay.
The space
The barn has 3 floors for living, work and play with about 5000 sq ft, sleeping 12 easily. It has big spaces and comfortable areas inside and out to be with family and friends. The main floor has a full kitchen, living area, two bedrooms, a den, dining area, and a full bathroom. Large glass doors open to outdoor seating where 12-16 can lounge/dine.
The top floor is a bright open space with vaulted ceilings, a living area, main king bed, second private bedroom, and a large bathroom. The view and lighting is amazing up here and has been used for photoshoots and as artist studio space. The bottom floor is a good room for kids or entertaining with ping pong and darts. There is another king bed down here and full bathroom. Laundry is on the bottom floor near the bathroom.
The property itself is located off a private road where we have another house nearby. If you need more space for your visit feel free to enquire about our other house (4 bdr) in your message.

They thought of everything!

When you travel with a family for a special occasion, you couldn't ask for more. Three floors - one for each family. Gorgeous decor that is functional. The grounds and surroundin area are gorgeous and historic. Even when the rain came we had ping pong, darts, bingo, puzzles, room to play, soft carpets for the baby to crawl on; cleanable non-carpeted old barn floors which cleaned up easily for kid spills etc., such comfortable beds; bathrooms on each floor, a clothes steamer, spices, oil, coffee and just everything we could have needed and more. THANK YOU SO MUCH MICHAEL AND BONNIE.

Phenomenal

Our time there was heaven on earth. It was even better than I expected. We would come back in a heartbeat. Owners were prompt, courteous and on it! I didn't even have to ask a question! They sent me all the info I needed ahead of time and then some. Their information sheet was our go-to. Everything was clean and the property was spectacular. I hope we all can return someday soon. I feel so grateful to have found this place

Beautiful converted barn

We booked this property for our 12 family members to stay in to attend my daughter’s wedding. It exceeded my expectations. We had plenty of room and loved the barn charm, creaky floors and all! Comfortable beds and sitting areas, plenty of kitchenware, loads of towels, a closet full of games, ping pong and darts for the kids, along with lawn games. The owners were responsive and helpful. The kids loved the sound of frogs at night and chasing fire flies. The farmhouse next door was rented by more family. Great house. Highly recommend both properties. Thanks Bonnie and Mike!

Bonnie and Mike communicated well and answered all questions in a timely manner. The property has plenty of privacy, very clean, plenty of towels, surrounded by trees, close to two cities, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, the kitchen had everything we needed and more, the bathrooms were full of toilet paper, soaps and shampoo, plenty of space to relax and lounge, used the dart board and Ping-Pong table in the evenings and the firepit during the day. There was a full size coffee pot available, and when it stopped working, they had a replacement at the front door within two hours. Was able to watch some college football on a big screen television. Enjoyed the big dining room table for meals, playing cards and games. Overall a great place and even better hosts. Would stay there again.

Family retreat

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful vacation rental! The barn was decorated so comfortable it felt like home! Until you realized you were actually in a barn that horse's once stayed ! Loved it would definitely recommend! The only thing I would have liked , was for the main living room to have a TV since we all gathered in there enjoying the fireplace. As well the bedrooms.

Unique and Amazing Property

What a unique and amazing property to rent!! The barn was so cool to stay in and the hosts were super accommodating with our request. Each floor of the barn was different in its own way and the kids loved playing with the multiple games, darts and ping pong balls that were provided. The hosts even left waters and snacks in each of the two kitchens. The dining room table provided plenty of room for the 11 of us to enjoy meals and play card games. The area around the property was nice to take little walks and explore a little. I will say though, bring your boots!! I’m not sure if it’s always like that or if they’ve just gotten a lot of rain lately but it was muddy muddy muddy!! Obviously no fault of the owners who even thought of leaving slippers to use when entering the house. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook for the week. Last year we stayed at a unique gingerbread house and this year a barn
. Not sure how we’ll be able to top it next year!!! Thanks Bonnie and Mike!
