We loved our stay at Tortuga! It is in a great location. The kitchen was fully stocked so we were able to have many family meals there. We had plenty of room for everyone. We highly recommend this place for a relaxed beach vacation!!

The Tortuga is a wonderful place to stay. Although it is not ocean front, we didn’t miss out on the views, they were great! The house was clean, having a pool was a real plus. I highly recommend this beach rental.

This was our family's second stay at Tortuga, and we'd love to come back for a third! We had 11 people, including two young children, and the house was perfect for our group.The home was spotless, the kitchen was incredibly well stocked, and there was plenty of room for everyone. We loved the pool, outdoor shower, pool table, comfortable beds, and all of the beach equipment. The new gas grill was a great addition, and we made full use of the included pier passes.The views are absolutely breathtaking, especially of the ocean. Everything was thoughtfully maintained and made for another fantastic Outer Banks vacation. We highly recommend Tortuga!

Beautiful home, great location

We had so much fun at the Tortuga! The home is so beautiful and fully stocked with everything you need for a fun vacation. The location is perfect - short walk to the beach and pier. Highly recommend!

Family Vacation

We enjoyed celebrating my in laws 50th wedding anniversary by the beach. The house was in the perfect location for a quick walk to the pier or beach. We enjoyed waking up to the ocean viewevery morning. We would recommend and stay again, but beware the stairs may be difficult for older individuals.

This house was exactly what we needed, however the first night there was a fire in the GFI outside the bunk bedroom-causing the bedroom not to have lights or outlet use. This is turn caused the kids not wanting to sleep in this room (afraid of fire) . Therefore. we were short a bedroom & had to double up with adults. Lights were restored but not the outlet usage. Pool pump not working for two days - had to report twice. This house is very nice; but seems to have some electrical issues. The host was available at each contact-did not seem to care that it caused us to have a bedroom down for the week.

Amy, we are sorry as mentioned numerous times in the correspondence back and forth. We called the service people as soon as we became aware. We were not aware that you had to double up bedrooms because of the inconveneince. Please do not assume that we did not care. This is our home and we are always concerned about our guests and the house. We were in touch numeruos times to fix the problems and realize this as not an ideal sitiation all around for anyone. Our family really enjoyed this home, the location was perfect for us, nice and quiet and the beach not crowded. The owners left us a fantastic welcome basket of delicious baked goods and also called to check in and gave us some great restaurant recommendations. We will definitely keep this on our list of places to stay!

Rodanthe vacation

This house is amazing!! Has everything you need for your stay. The owners are very kind and left cinnamon rolls for us one morning. Beach is less than a minute walk away. If your looking for a great vacation home look no further.

Exceptional Vacation Home

This is a wonderful house in a wonderful location. The owners are great and ensure that your experience is perfect. The house is well stocked and very clean. The beach is within a very short walking distance and there are several great local restaurants near by. We will be returning to this property in the future!
